Having An Outlet Or Inlet Opening (e.g., Bunghole, Etc.) Patents (Class 220/601)
  • Patent number: 5320237
Abstract: A closure is used for selectively closing an opening of a container, the container including a tubular collar defining an opening and surrounded at the opening by an annular collar flange. An embossment includes a tubular collar retainer having an outer diameter slightly less than an inner diameter of the container collar and defining a through passage. A cap is threaded into the through passage to close the same. An annular retainer flange extends outwardly from an outer wall of the collar retainer and is seated on the collar flange incident to the retainer being inserted in the container collar. The retainer flange is secured to the collar flange by vibration welding so that the cap closes the container opening.

  • Patent number: 5285923
Abstract: A tank assembly stores hydraulic oil in a system for actuating hydraulically operated cylinders, specifically on Class VI, VII and VIII trucks. A pump draws the fluid from the tank to force the hydraulic cylinder to an upright position. When the pump valve is shifted to the down position, the hydraulic fluid is returned to the storage tank at a reduced velocity without the reduction of the rate of flow in gallons per minute below the rated pump capacity, thus preventing the aeration of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 5150814
Abstract: A chemical spray tank comprising a bottom wall, front wall, back wall, opposite side walls and a top wall. The top wall of the tank is provided with a fill opening defined by a vertically disposed annular wall member adapted to receive a lid, or cover. An annular channel, or recessed area, extends around the annular wall member and has a bottom wall which is disposed between the upper and lower ends of the annular wall member. The bottom wall of the annular recessed area has one or more closable openings formed therein, so that chemical collected therein may be drained into the interior of the tank to prevent the chemical from flowing on to the ground, which would result in a chemical spill required to be reported.
