Publication number: 20130199215Abstract: Methods of manufacturing a frozen food product in a chamber having a tubular refrigerated wall and a partition which is movable along the chamber between upper and lower positions include multiple steps. First, after positioning the partition at its upper position, a liquid food product mix is introduced into the chamber above the partition so that the mix forms a pool of a selected depth atop the partition. The partition is then moved downward towards its lower position at a selected rate which causes the mix in the pool to flow outward under gravity into contact with the wall where it at least partially freezes to form an adherent uniform frozen mix layer on progressively lower segments of that wall. Then, the frozen mix layer is scraped from the wall to form a multiplicity of frozen scrapings, which are collected in a receptacle and dispensed as a frozen food product.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2012Publication date: August 8, 2013Inventors: Karl Winkler, Patrick Robert Mon

When the tear-away strip is torn from the cap, a slit is formed in the cap with mutually opposed slit edges. When a food article is partially inserted into the condiment container through the slit, the slit edges of the cap wipe against the food article. Accordingly, after the food article is partially dipped into a condiment stored inside the condiment container, the slit edges of the cap wipe against the food article to limit the thickness of condiment adhering to the food article as it is moved therepast.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1996Date of Patent: October 14, 1997Inventor: David W. Patent number: 5603428Abstract: A container capable of holding materials such as joint compound applied from the container with an applicator to an object includes an open top, a generally semi-cylindrical first wall having a first longitudinal upper edge and a second longitudinal upper edge generally laterally opposite the first longitudinal upper edge, and second walls located generally at longitudinally opposite ends of the first wall. The first and second walls define a volume for holding the material therein. The smooth curvature of the first wall permits material to be withdrawn from the container by a scooping motion of the applicator along a smooth curve generally from the first longitudinal upper edge of the first wall laterally to the second longitudinal edge of the first wall. The applicator is capable of maintaining contact with the first wall throughout the scooping motion.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 1994Date of Patent: February 18, 1997Inventor: Claude K. Breckwoldt
