  • Publication number: 20100123019
Abstract: A bottle adaptor to which one or more bottles of one or more standard threaded-tops may be screwed and sealed to allow sipping of the fluid in the bottles through a flexible drinking tube. The adaptor and bottles may be carried in a backpack. One or two bottle receivers include plural standard threads spaced along an axis and a socket for a straw to project to the bottom of the bottle. A fluid passageway from the drinking tube extends to the straw sockets. Each bottle receiver includes a selectively openable pressure relief from the ambient to the space adjacent the bottle threads. A separate tube coupler having barbs for the drinking tube may be inserted into and locked to the adaptor. For a two-bottle adaptor, a three-way valve adjacent the barb or other tube connection may select either bottle or the shut condition.

The conic spring-style, flexible straw would be incorporated inside the can or container. The user would simply remove the peel off tab, can or container opener and the straw would automatically extend through an opening. There's no need to open any package, touch YAQRUB with our hands or be manipulated because it comes incorporated and compressed inside the can or container. We never have to drink directly from the can or container, which is very important. It reduces or eliminates the risk of dangerous contaminants entering our bodies. There's no possibility for a child, senior or disabled person to introduce a body part inside the can or container orifice once it is opened, YAQRUB will be obstructing the can or container opening. • Publication number: 20090308880
Abstract: A container is provided in a folded, minimally-sized, configuration. Ends of the container are folded down onto two of four sides to allow folding without bunching or crushing of the sides through the use of predefined preferential folds. Folding a container into a flattened shape is a procedure that is well known in the art, such as in storing, for example, paper bags. A strap is guided slidably by a rectangular ring and lies against the folded container in close proximity. The strap can have any shape, such as a “V” or “W” shape in cross-section, that provides strength and structural integrity to the expanded container. The strap has a locking mechanism, such as a “tooth” or ridge of material, for positively engaging the ring and causing locking to the ring when the container is expanded. In the folded configuration, the strap covers and thereby protects the opening.

Then the valve opens upon the user's action, such as, sucking or squeezing the nipple. When the valve is opened the pressure inside of the container exerted by rising or trapped air bubbles exerts a downward force on the liquid below. The downward force thereby pushes the liquid below into and up the tube and into the user's mouth. The one way valve having unique form characteristics to permit this operation and permit other operations.

  • Patent number: 7156255
Abstract: A self-righting sipper cup includes an inner cup member positioned in an interior space defined by an outer cup member. The inner cup's bottom defines an outlet port. A channel connects the outlet port to a drinking slot surrounded by a drinking spout. The inner cup receives liquid, and a float rests atop the liquid. A lid attaches. A child lifts the cup by handles and drinks traditionally through the spout or sucks on the spout in either an upright or horizontal position. The float descends as liquid leaves the interior cup. If the cup drops or tips, liquid stays at the bottom of the interior cup and in the channel due to the float and a valve inside the channel. The shapes of the rounded base portion and handles, a ballast's weight, and the liquid's location bias the cup to the upright position.
