Abstract: The invention relates to a drinking mouthpiece for cans in the form of a fitting fixed on a top rim of a can. The drinking mouthpiece is fixed on a flange of the can through a groove and rests on a top side of a lid of the can with a bottom part of wide wings. The drinking mouthpiece includes: a lower edge of a recess folded inwardly towards an inside of the can at the place of fixing to a lid opening, a protruding lobe positioned on the outside of the can with an oval shape drops onto a vertical wall of the can. The wings of drinking mouthpiece become narrower towards a upper part of the drinking mouthpiece, thereby forming a deepening recess between the wings with an additional smaller recess in the upper part of the drinking mouthpiece.

Abstract: A germ-free beverage lid system; a protective covering specially designed for the plastic lids that are used for beverages sold in coffee house chains, fast food restaurants, convenience stores, and similar outlets. The intent is to provide a more hygienic means of offering these type of lids to consumers, helping to create a sterile cup lid to stop the spread of germs and bacteria.

Abstract: A lid for a beverage container is described. The lid has a basin that is designed to enhance the user's olfactory experience when drinking a beverage from the container and lid. As the user tilts the container and lid to take a drink, the beverage pours through an opening on the basin valley and flows across a sipping surface area to the user's mouth, thus allowing the beverage to aerate, evaporate, and cool. The basin is sized and dimensioned to channel and concentrate the vapor rising from the beverage towards the user's nose as the user sips the beverage. The basin and the opening are sized and dimensioned to provide a comfortable and secure feeling when drinking hot beverages. In this manner, the lid enhances the drinker's olfactory experience and provides better controllability of the flow of a hot beverage to prevent burn injuries.

The protector includes an upper protector element covering the upper part of the container and a lower ring arranged peripherally around the container connected to the upper protector element by a hinge section. The upper protector element also includes a ring pull projecting towards the outside in a downwards direction from the body of the upper protector element and having a cambered form following the contour of the can.

Abstract: A rotatable pull-tab assembly for a beverage container having a handle member which is displaceable from a storage position to a seal plate opening position, a seal plate opener which causes a seal plate of a beverage container to open upon displacement of the handle member, and a cover plate member which substantially covers an opening of a beverage container when the rotatable pull-tab assembly is in a closed position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a plastic lid for a container, which has a mounting hole in the lid's center and an in-and-out hole that is tightly closed until opened for the first time, and which has a plastic opening mechanism that can additionally pivotally cover the in-and-out hole. The opening mechanism has a valve that has a hole around which there are at least two latches which interact with a knob that has an arm terminated with a cylindrical element that has at least one carrier and is able to rotate in the mounting hole. The valve and the knob are sealed and immobilized with a plastic foil. Once opened, the in-and-out hole can be covered again using the valve and the mouth contact area using a plastic hygienic cover.

The beverage container assembly comprises a cup and a lid and the drinking opening is formed in an upper wall of the raised portion of the lid. The cover assembly comprises a substantially planar cover member and a substrate. The cover member comprises first and second layers and defines a cover portion, a surrounding cover portion, and a perimeter edge. The first layer is a structural layer having flexural characteristics that allow the cover member to be transported by engaging opposing portions of the perimeter edge of the cover member without substantially deforming the cover member. The second layer defines an adhesive surface adapted to detachably attach the cover member to the substrate and the lid.

Abstract: A tooth protector device is disclosed for attachment to the top of a glass bottle to provide protection against injury, including chipping of teeth that can occur during drinking from a glass bottle. One embodiment comprises a monolithic structure for insertion into the mouth of a glass bottle and comprises inner, outer and top portions. The inner portion and the outer portion are substantially concentric structures defining an annulus for engaging the mouth of the bottle, and the top portion joins the inner and outer portions and protects the consumer from the top edge of the bottle. The length of the outer portion is selected such that the bottom part of the consumer's mouth is protected from the bottle. When installed, a tooth protector according to the present invention cushions the teeth and mouth from any blunt force or impulse that can occur when a bottle is hit or blocked.

Abstract: In order to remarkably improve sanitation and convenience in use by allowing a user to drink a beverage in a state in which the user stably supports a beverage container, without contacting the lips with the beverage container, the present invention provides a beverage container including a body having a size that can be gripped by a user, and including a space in which a beverage is contained and a discharge port through which the beverage is discharged at an upper end thereof, and a chin rest protruding outward from the body to a predetermined size so that, in a state in which an end of the chin rest contacts one side from a user's lower lip to a chin, the body is pivoted to discharge the beverage into a user's mouth with the discharge port spaced apart from the mouth, and a radius of rotation from the end to the discharge port corresponds to a distance from the user's mouth to a position at which the end is supported.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved sealing means, typically a lid, for a beverage container. Positioned, between the annular cover portion of the lid and the rim of the beverage container, is a liquid permeable filter, this filter having an opening for receiving a mounting member in the form of a protrusion, which extends from the annular cover portion, downwards, through the annular cover portion, into the beverage container, where the inner peripheral edge of the opening of the liquid permeable filter is attached around the outer periphery of the protrusion. With a protrusion in the form of a tube surrounding an opening in the annular cover portion, food additives are allowed to be inserted after the lid has been mounted to the drinking container.

Abstract: A spill-resistant beverage container having an inwardly projecting, annular contoured lip forming an aperture at the top of a beverage reservoir. The aperture is smaller than the diameter of the top rim of the reservoir. The contoured lip reduces spillage, especially when used with shallow containers such as a martini glass. A smaller aperture in the surface of the contoured lip enables beverage consumption, either directly by mouth or through a straw.

The lip guard is comprised of guard section (8B), base section (8A), and can be attached to vessels and dispensers. Guard section (8B) of the lip guard works to prevent the spread of germs by coming into contact with the vessel at a point below the lip and rim area.

The drinking aid has a body at least a portion of which defines a U-shaped groove adapted to receive the rim of the container when the rim slips into the groove and to create a mechanical engagement between the rim and the drinking aid. The body also engages the container to create a frictional fit between the drinking aid and the container. At least one of a column or angled arms disposed on the body form a V-shaped or U-shaped funnel directing and centering fluid from the container to an orifice either formed in the column or defined by the angled arms. The drinking aid prevents spillage of the liquid from the container when the user tilts the container to pour liquid through the orifice.

Abstract: A cup lid comprising a base cup lid having a drink-through opening formed therein in a planar top portion thereof, and a rotatable stopper associated therewith so as to selectively provide a sealed and unsealed relationship between said drink-through opening and a opening in said rotatable stopper. The base cup lid and the rotatable stopper are mated to one another by the use of convoluted portions on each part which form a sliding tongue and groove relationship. The rotatable stopper has an actuator that can be used to move the rotatable stopper from a closed position wherein the opening in the rotatable stopper and the drink-through opening in the base cup lid, are not aligned, to an open position where the opening in the rotatable stopper and the drink-through opening in the base cup lid, are aligned. An easily operated resealable cup lid is provided.

The cup barrier has various kinds of size, shape, design, materials, and consistency. It can be colorless transparent or colored. It can be disposable or reusable. It is packed in a clean or sterile manner so that the user can place the cup barrier over the cup without contaminating it before using.

Abstract: A non-circular can end for a container having walls which form an opening includes a corner-mounted pull tab opener secured to a severable panel portion by an integral rivet. The corner-mounted opener facilitates easy opening of the can end. A pair of generally parallel bead recesses on either side of the integral rivet stiffen the severable panel portion in order to facilitate bending of the panel aft of the rivet to easily open the can end. The severable panel optionally further includes a mustache-shaped scoreline to reduce the amount of force required to lift the opener. Tooling and a conversion press for converting shells into the non-circular can ends are also disclosed.

The cap attachment is formed of a liquid-impervious, elastically resilient material that has a skirt with a radially inwardly directed lip at its outer periphery and with a drinking port defined completely through its structure. The drinking port is spaced radially inwardly from the periphery of the cap attachment for alignment with the drinking opening in the pop-top beverage can. A collar having a radially outwardly directed flange is located on the underside of the cap coaxially about the drinking port. The cap fits onto the beverage can so that the lip of the skirt engages the bead at the top of the beverage can and so that the lower extremity of the collar projects through the drinking aperture in the top of the can. Abstract: A sanitary lid includes a top portion and a side portion. The top portion has an aperture formed therethrough, and the side portion extends downwardly from the top portion. A rim-engaging annulus is formed between the top portion and the side portion. The rim-engaging annulus is configured to be releasably engagable with a rim of a can. A seal member is disposed on an inner side of the top portion at or near the aperture and projects downwardly therefrom. The sanitary lid is configured so that when the rim-engaging annulus is engaged with the rim of the can, the aperture is substantially aligned with an orifice of the can, and the seal member forms a seal with the orifice. Accordingly, the beverage in the can is able to flow through the orifice, across the seal member, and through the aperture without contacting the top of the can.

Abstract: A beverage can, provided with sanitary covering means for normally covering the lip portion of the rim nearest the opening cover of the can during storage, is disclosed. The sanitary covering means may be formed separately from the attached lever opener. In this case, the sanitary covering means is rotatably attached on the top of the can by the opener's rivet at a portion between the lever opener and the top of the can. Alternatively, the sanitary covering means may be cast with the lever opener as a single structure. In this case, the lever opener is rotatably rivetted on the top of the can and radially extends outward while being widened in order to form a sanitary cover part used as the sanitary covering means and passes over the rim in order to form a rim cover part covering a part of the rim. The rim cover part may be curved in order to movably surround a part of the rim's top.

Abstract: A drinking receptacle (10) comprised of a beverage container (12) having a removeable cover (16) and an insulating sheath (14) mounted on the sidewall (20) of the container, is described. The cover serves as a closure for the open end of the container and is comprised of a canted top wall (58) having a vent opening (62) and a drinking slot (64). The drinking slot enables virtually the entire beverage contents of the container to be drank. The sheath is preferably made of an extruded sheet of closed cell polyolefin elastomeric material having an outer laminated coating. This enables a person to comfortably hold the drinking receptacle in their hand even when the temperature of the beverage held in the container is at or near the boiling point.

Abstract: A child's or infant's drinking cup assembly having a cup portion and a lid portion and having means for engaging the portions with each other. The cup portion has a cup cavity and means for engaging said lid portion. The lid portion has a spout and a spout chamber with access holes for sipping from the fluidic contents of the cup when the lid portion is engaged to the cup portion. Lock mechanisms are provided on an upper cylindrical surface of the lid portion for the purpose of engaging stops on an annular surface of the cup portion. When the lid portion is engaged and lockingly fitted to the cup portion, the lock mechanisms maintain the lid portion in engagement with the cup portion and prevent removal of the lid portion by a baby or child.
