The lid may further include a guide channel configured to receive the slider, and the channel may limit the lateral movement of the slider. The guide channel may further include a pair of air vents. The slider may be configured to lock into place in both the closed position and the opened position.

Abstract: A spoutless training lid assembly of a sippy cup includes a collar and a valve. The collar is configured to couple to a vessel and has an outer wall, an inner wall, an upper portion configured to be located outside the vessel and including an upper peripheral rim and a lower portion configured to be located inside the vessel and including a lower peripheral edge. The collar includes a peripheral shelf located about the inner wall. The valve is inserted into the collar and includes a flexible gasket over-molded to a rigid baffle to form a single, separable component. The gasket extends from a plate of the baffle and terminates at an outer peripheral edge that engages with the rim of the collar. The baffle secures to the shelf and portions of a perimeter edge of the plate of the baffle abut the inner wall of the collar.

Abstract: A beverage container topper is disclosed. The beverage container topper has an interior hollow passage for beverage to flow, and comprises a cup section, a channel section and a fastening section, wherein the inner surface of the fastening section is formed to have two or more fastening structures for fastening two or more types of top portions, respectively, of beverage containers. A user may fasten the top portion of a beverage container to one of the two or more fastening structures, and tilt the combination of the beverage container and topper to flow out the beverage from the beverage container through the beverage container topper to his/her mouth.

Abstract: A leak resistant lid assembly for a beverage container where the lid assembly has a straw or similar means for a user to drink liquid is disclosed. The lid assembly may include a base, a straw that extends through the base, a gasket, and a grommet. The base may have a primary opening that receives the straw and a secondary opening in the top of the base, where the secondary opening acts as a vent to prevent a vacuum from occurring when drinking from a straw. The grommet may have a spiral ring may help create a flow path for air from inside the beverage container to the exterior environment.

Abstract: A bottle comprising a bottle spout manufactured into the bottle that provides for an uninhibited, full-flow of beverage which has a user-initiated trigger and valve mechanism that can be activated in a single motion with one hand and which closes automatically when the user-initiated trigger is released. The bottle spout comprises a housing with a drinking end and a bottle connector end, a valve that is connected to an external trigger by a spring-loaded recoil mechanism, and a safety lock to prevent accidental opening of the valve. The bottle with the bottle spout may also comprise a carry clip and ergonomic features for ease of carrying and holding, respectively.

The lid retaining ring capable screws onto the main cup body, and in the process, capturing the inner liner flange, the mixing grid flange and the lid member flange to hold them in a liquid retaining manner. A preferred embodiment includes the disposable cup liner, the disposable mixing grid, the disposable lid member and the disposable spout cap member are all made of biodegradable molded plastic.

The basin is sized and dimensioned to channel and concentrate the vapor rising from the beverage towards the user's nose as the user sips the beverage. In this manner, the lid enhances the drinker's olfactory experience and provides better controllability of the flow of a hot beverage to prevent burn injuries.

The system consists of multiple containers of various volumes, a common lid configured to incorporate a flow control valve, multiple flow control valves having varying flow rates, a date indicator ring incorporated circumferentially on said containers, a content indicator disposed on said lid, a chiller insert, and an optional slip on handle. The user selects a container based on the fluid needs of a person and a flow control valve based on the drinking ability of the person. The user fills the container with a drinkable fluid, and indicates the nature of the contents with the content indicator and the date of filling with the date indicator ring. The chiller insert allows the user to cool the contents without the possibility of dilution as with standard ice cubes.

Abstract: A container having a cup and a lid, which in turn includes locking features, wherein the lid engages in a secure relation to the cup, is disclosed. In other embodiments, the invention is directed to a container having a lid that fits over an open end of a cup and a lid that fits inversely and inside the open end of a cup. The lid of the invention comprises at least one protruding annular ridge, allowing for secure placement on the cup when the cup is in motion. The lid fits in a complementary (positive/negative) relation to the protruding ridge(s) on the cup. This container is designed for the purpose of being in motion: while walking, driving, and all aspects of travel and carrying. Additional embodiments include novel spout designs for the cup portion and lid portion.

A valve in the discharge passage includes two flanks formed integrally with the side wall and projecting from opposite sides of the inner surface of the spout. The front end faces of the flanks mate with one another along a slit that extends generally parallel to the longer axis of the spout. At least the front portions of the flanks are inclined away from the mouth of the spout such that pressure within the container acts to urge the flanks against one another so as to maintain the slit closed. Deformation of the side wall when the spout is held between the lips of a drinker acts to open the slit and create an opening between the flanks to allow the beverage to be discharged.

A lid for a drinking vessel and a drinking conduit are also claimed.

Abstract: A cap is described for closing a liquid beverage container for allowing the beverage to be sucked out of the container through a spout, while preventing spillage when no suction takes place. A demand valve is incorporated into the cap, which has an inlet port communicating with the interior of the container, a discharge port communicating with the spout and a control port communicating with the ambient atmosphere through a hole in the cap. The valve has a valve seat and a closure element controlling the flow from the inlet port to the discharge port urged to move into an opening position in dependence on the excess of the control pressures over that in the discharge ports, this movement being in the direction opposed to the flow and urged by the pressure in the container in a direction to seal against the valve seat. In the invention, the demand valve is formed by two members that are mounted on the inner surface of the cap. The first member is rigid and defines the valve inlet port and the valve seat.

Abstract: A three position, selectively openable twist lid for a drinking vessel has separate drinking and venting apertures. The lid has two parts—a base member and a cap member. The base and cap members can be relatively rotated from a first, closed position to a second, open position and to a third, disengaged position in which the cap and base members may be separated for cleaning.

Abstract: A water stop structure is mounted to a water jar. A main body includes a depression bar device, a resiliency device, and a water stop member. The depression bar device includes a movable depression bar that is releasably connectable to a hanger formed on the main body. The resiliency device includes a rod that maintains the depression bar in position with a first resilient element. A second resilient element maintains the rod in position to have the water stop member blocking a water passage of the main body. When the depression bar is depressed to travel through a first stroke, the depression bar disengages from the hanger to form an opening therebetween for easy hanging and use of the water jar. When the depression bar travels through a second stroke, the rod drives the water stop member away from the water passage to allow a user to drink water.

Abstract: An on-demand drinking adapter for use with a beverage container is disclosed. The adapter includes a base with an upper surface and generally cylindrical sides which extend below the upper surface. The cylindrical sides are adapted for temporarily fastening the adapter to a mouth of a beverage container. The adapter also includes a spout with a vertically extending surface, a second surface, and an on-demand drinking aperture. The spout extends above the upper surface and the vertically extending surface is curved and coextensive with a portion of the cylindrical sides.

Abstract: A leak resistant drinking cup has a container with an open top and a lid assembly for removable attachment to the container for selectively closing the open top. The lid assembly includes a liquid discharge member for allowing liquid in the container to exit the cup. A closure member is adapted for placement adjacent the open top of the container when the lid assembly is attached to the container. A flexible diaphragm is moveable between a sealed position and an unsealed position. The diaphragm is moveable from the sealed position to the unsealed portion by a vacuum being applied to the diaphragm by a user sucking on the liquid discharge member. The vacuum causes the diaphragm to flex toward the container and at least in part away from the closure member and thereby move the diaphragm from the sealed position to the unsealed position.

Abstract: A bottle cap assembly includes a mount, a hose unit connected to the mount, a mouthpiece unit and a dust cap. A lug is connected to the mount and the dust cap is pivotably connected to the lug. A tubular portion is located in the mount and has two spiral ribs. The mouthpiece unit includes a rotatable member, a seal ring and a mouthpiece. The rotatable member is engaged within the tubular portion and has spiral grooves with which the spiral ribs are engaged. The rotatable member has a knob and has a passage is defined therethrough. The seal member seals the mouthpiece unit when the rotatable member is located at the lowest position. When the knob is rotated, the spiral grooves moved upward along with the spiral rib and the passage is separated from the seal member to open the mouthpiece unit.
