Abstract: A griller for use on a barbecue which has a food retainer that has a top section hinged to a bottom section, the top section being releasably unlatchable to the bottom section to keep the food retainer selectively closed. A frame with a handle is pivotally attached to the food retainer, The latching mechanism, includes a rod that passes through the handle and frame to activate a latch that keeps the food retainer closed, and when the latching mechanism is activated, the two portions of the griller are separated and the contents become accessible. The rod is spring loaded to return it to a position within the confines of the food retainer when needed. The griller is designed to be carried from location to location with the food retainer vertical when latched, as well as with the food retainer a horizontal disposition also with the retainer latched.

Abstract: A drinking vessel, and a lid for a drinking vessel are provided, The lid has a rim from which a user can drink with a valve formed at the rim. A fluid coupling extends from the valve to the base of the drinking vessel. Drinking is by sucking from the rim of the lid. The fluid coupling ensures that the cup does not have to be tipped (to bring the liquid in contact with the rim) as is the case for a conventional cup with a so-called 360 degree drinking valve.

The handle includes a grip portion, a coupling fixedly attached to the grip portion, an actuator rotatingly coupled to the handle, and a spring. The coupling has a channel that is configured to surround at least a portion of an upper horizontally extending rod of the bracket. The actuator has a top portion configured to engage and disengage an upper edge of the bracket when the actuator is rotated forward and backward. The actuator also has hooks configured to engage and disengage a lower horizontally extending rod of the bracket when the actuator is rotated forward and backward. The spring is configured to apply a force to the actuator so as to rotate the actuator forward, when the actuator is released by a user.

A mounting groove is defined on the side plate. The mounting unit is coupled to the side plate. By rotating the handle, the handle can be stored at least flush in the mounting groove.

Each cover portion's outer surface is defined by an antimicrobial material and its inner surface is longitudinally corrugated. Each cover portion has a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. The first longitudinal edge includes a first tab and a first socket, and the second longitudinal edge includes a second tab and a second socket. When the cover portions are adapted to encase a tubular structure, the first tab of a first of the cover portions is engaged in the second socket of a second of the cover portions, and the second tab of the second of the cover portions is engaged in the first socket of the first of the cover portions.

Abstract: Tissue-processing containers are disclosed for facilitating multistep processing of tissue. Also disclosed are systems incorporating the tissue-processing containers that include shakers, incubators, controllers, and pumps. Multistep methods are disclosed for processing tissues using the tissue-processing containers. The tissue-processing containers are specially designed to achieve efficiencies in automated tissue processing, exposure of tissues to processing media, and multistep tissue processing protocols. The described tissue-processing containers comprise a cup-like cavity comprising a middle hole covered by a mesh screen, troughs for separate processing steps, and are stackable in a substantially airtight and substantially watertight manner. Tissues for processing using the described tissue-processing containers include nerve tissue.

The elongated handle section has first and second ends, wherein at the first end of the handle section there is the means for removable attachment to the attachment point on a cookware container and a means for locking the removable handle to the attachment point. The attachment point in on the cookware container comprises a bracket that has a depending section attached to a side wall of the cookware container and a flange at the top edge of the depending section and extending outwardly from the side wall of the cookware container. A non-circular elongated opening is centrally located through the flange and generally orientated with its longitudinal axis generally parallel to the side wall of the cookware container. The opening is sized and shaped to engage with the means for removable attachment on the handle.

The gripping member is specifically designed to either replace an existing gripping member, or improve a two part handle for a weight bearing container by providing a larger diameter gripping surface. The improved gripping member is formed of two identical mating halves that can be releasably attached to form a cylindrical gripping surface with a relatively large diameter. When attached about an existing gripping member or wire handle portion of a two part handle the inventive gripping member provides a large diameter gripping surface to distribute the weight of the container about a larger portion of the user's palm.

Abstract: Improvements in a carrying handle cushion for a wire to provide a handle or grip for a wire handle of a bucket to increase the tactile surface area. The grip uses two gates on opposite sides of the handle where the wire handle (from the bucket) passes through the grip. The wire passes through a one-way lock that retains the handle to prevent the grip from being accidentally dislodged from the bucket wire. Lifting the handle on the wire will engage the handle using only the weight of a filled bucket. While a low amount of force can be applied to engage the grip onto the wire, the handle is not removed with an inverse force. Upon engagement of the grip there is an audible and tactile indication that the grip has been completely engaged on to the bucket wire.

The jaw is common for all sizes of paint cans, as the ring-type can lip is common in its radial dimension and thickness. A slot with optional keeper is provided to retain bails. Three embodiments are shown: a Universal type and two dedicated types, for Quart and Gallon cans, respectively. A magnet provided on the holder retains a paint brush oriented over the paint contents to catch drips. The transition section of the holder is flat to provide a surface on which the holder can be stood upright, and as a hammer to reseal the paint can lid.

The shape memory insulator may be part of a handle for an object, such as a pot or pan, for example, or other objects and devices requiring continuous and/or repetitive manual operation. The shape memory polymeric material may conform to the shape of the user's hand when the handle is gripped by a user's hand. When the grip is released, the shape memory material returns to its original shape. The shape memory insulators provide insulation as well as improving comfort and/or control over the engagement and use of objects, while decreasing arm and hand wear and/or strain of those using the objects.

Abstract: A handle assembly for a container includes a baseplate and a handle portion. A post extends from an arm of the handle portion and is configured to allow the baseplate to be snapped onto the post. In turn, the baseplate may be fastened or otherwise attached to the container. When lifting the container, the handle is rotated from a stored position and mechanically halted in a lifting position with interlocking complementary stops coupled to the handle portion and baseplate, respectively. In one embodiment, the stops include complementarily angled surfaces that are placed in interlocking bearing contact when the handle portion is in the lifting position. A biasing member coupled to the handle portion and engaged with the baseplate biases the handle portion toward the stored position.

Abstract: A cooking utensil has a food container, such as a cooking basket, and a lift bracket attached the sidewall of the food container. The lift bracket includes a riser portion having a catch opening and an outwardly extending upper ledge portion having an insertion opening in vertical plane alignment with the catch opening of the riser portion. A lift handle engages the lift bracket on the food container through the insertion opening in the lift bracket. An inwardly projecting catch tip on the engagement end of the lift handle can be made to catch the catch opening in the riser portion of the lift bracket when the lift bracket engagement end of the lift handle is fully inserted in the lift bracket. When the food container is lifted by the handle, the weight of the food container will maintain the engagement of the lift handle and lift bracket.

Abstract: A support device for use with paint containers with wire bail handles. The support device allows a user to safely and easily hang a paint container from the step of a ladder. The support device includes a ladder rung hook member attached to the upper portion of the device handle. The handle is attached to a body portion. The lower portion of the body contains a wire bail catch feature, and support wall that contacts the side of the paint container. The device supports a paint container in a downward angle to better facilitate user access to the contents of the paint container. The device quickly attaches to a paint container.
