    Abstract: A carton for cut sheets of paper has a bottom wall, opposite side walls, and opposite end walls. An opening is in each of the opposite end walls and a carry handle is secured to an inner surface of each end wall in aligned registry with a respective opening. The carry handles have a stowed position inside the carton and an extended position outside the carton for lifting and carrying the carton. A spacer panel in said carton has cutouts in aligned registry with respective carry handles to accommodate the carry handles when in their stowed position and prevent contact between the carry handles and paper in the carton.

    Abstract: The present invention makes use of both the advantage of a traditional gift box and a traditional gift bag. By combining the structure of the traditional gift box with the handles of a traditional gift bag and inverting the normal structure of a gift box (having the top inside the bottom instead of top over bottom), the handled gift box, is a convenient choice for gift wrapping. Also, since the handled gift box comes either pre-decorated or undecorated (with the option of choosing different combinations of decorations themselves), the gift givers are given the freedom to customize the present invention however they see fit. The handled gift box can be used for, but is not limited to, apparel, picture frames, light food items, books, and other items designed to lay flat in the gift-giving process.

The handle ends also include a secondary locking tab which is spaced in alignment with the longitudinally extending slit inwardly of the generally triangular tab. The locking ends include inwardly extending slots which define shoulders which engage a side of the tray or pot opposite the triangular tab for stabilizing the end of the handle in its locking engagement with the tray or pot.
