The side lid hinges are attached to the side walls below the upper edges of the side walls so that the side wall upper edge stops the side lid from opening beyond a predetermined angle. Each side lid has an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an outer edge. The side lids close together with their outer edges abutting. A rear lid is hingedly connected to the rear wall. The rear wall hinge is attached to the rear wall below the upper edge of the rear wall, so that the rear wall upper edge stops the rear lid from opening beyond a predetermined angle. The rear lid has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The rear lid closes first, and the side lids close together over the rear lid.

Abstract: A universal dumpster adapted for use with both front loading and roll-off refuse collection trucks includes a floor, side walls and end walls. The floor, side walls and end walls together define an interior compartment for collecting and containing solid waste. Sleeves rotatably mounted to the side walls engage the lifting arms of a front loading truck to lift and tilt the dumpster above the hopper. A mechanical stop is provided on the side walls that engages the distal end of the lifting arm to thereby reduce the stress exerted on the lifting arm. One of the end walls is formed by an upper door and a lower door having side panels to contain and direct the refuse into the hopper. A safety lock is provided on the side walls that engages the corresponding sleeve to limit over travel so the dumpster does not tip over the front loading truck.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel monolithic construction food container which can be heated in a microwave oven without distortion of its shape, without interfering with or overloading the microwave energy beam or the microwave radiant energy generation unit and without leakage even when the contained food reaches a boiling point. The food container comprises an impermeable cavity defined by a continuous seamless wall with a periphery, having no folded gussets and preferably polygonal in shape and a set of at least two flaps which are joined, preferably integrally and seamlessly, to the top peripheral portion of the cavity. The container is made of a thermoplastic polymeric material having a glass transition temperature of at least −(negative) 20 degrees Celsius and/or a Heat Distortion Temperature. , measured under a stress of 264 psi, in accordance with ASTM Standard Method No. D648, of at least 48 degrees Celsius.

Abstract: An ambidextrous lid assembly that allows a lid to be opened from either side of a compartment is disclosed. The lid assembly includes at least a first frame member adapted to be pivotally attached proximate the compartment opening. The first frame member has an opening that allows access therethrough to at least a portion of the interior of the compartment when the first frame member is closed against the perimeter of the compartment opening. The lid assembly includes a second frame member that is pivotally attached to the first frame member and either by itself or in cooperation with a lid cover provides a closure for the opening in the first frame member. The first frame member carries a latch for securing it about the opening, and the second frame member carries a latch for securing it to the first frame member.

The rotatable sleeves reduce the forces exerted on the lifting arms of the front loading truck. Accordingly, the capacity of the dumpster may be increased.

Abstract: A resealable closure for beverage containers uses initial physical interference to initiate a seal between a sealing flap and a dispensing port in a lid of the resealable closure. Once the initial seal is achieved, a pressure differential develops, resulting in additional force tending to bias the sealing flap toward the dispensing port. The sealing flap is actuated by an external drive means, that can also be a dust cover to prevent debris from contaminating any surfaces that may come into contact with the contents of the beverage container. There is a slack between initial movement of the external drive means and initial movement of the sealing flap, during which the pressure differential is preferably equalized through the unsealing of a vent hole in the resealable closure.

The ranges of pivotal motion are limited between a closed position and an open position wherein stop structures of the lid members contact the angled members thus restricting the lid members from pivoting more than a preferred number of degrees.

The lid is completely removable. Said coupling means of the lid are completely and simply disconnectable from said complementary coupling means of the enclosure. In the mounted position, the coupling means of the lid co-operate with the complementary coupling means of the enclosure, regardless of which face of the lid is facing the base of the enclosure.

Abstract: A device for holding tire chains which differs from the prior art in that it features double doors that open widely with only 5″ of clearance above the chain hanger. Other chain hangers have only one door that requires a significant amount of clearance to open or a removable door that gets left behind or falls off if not properly secured.

Abstract: An injection-molded thermoplastic closure with shake-and-spoon apertures and associated flaps for selectively closing and opening the apertures. The flaps are releasably retained in their closed positions by catch elements which provide retention forces that are relatively insensitive to dimensional and shape variations in the body resulting from the molding process. In one embodiment, the cap has “freeze points” and a gate location that reduce the tendency of the cap to assume an oval condition when cooled from molding temperatures. A wide sealing ledge cooperates with a central support for a liner seal positioned in the cap to seal the mouth of a container.
