The lid body (21) is provided with a recess (60), and a vertical plate (92) and a horizontal plate (90) are formed in the recess (60). Abstract: A hat travel case including an elongated container body defining a main body portion, the back plate portion, the bill portion and a first enclosed space therein. The main body portion has a main body chamber therein and dimensioned to receive a plurality of billed hats arranged in a shingled array. The billed portion having a bill chamber therein and dimensioned to receive the bill portion of a billed hat. The back plate portion is pivotally connected to the main body portion and allows access to the interior of the travel case so that the plurality of billed hats can be inserted therein. The back plate portion further includes a form preserving means such as a reversed dome attached thereto. The form preserving means secures the plurality of the billed hats and ensures that their shape is maintained.

There is a moveable closure member, and a hinge--usually, a living hinge--connecting the moveable closure member to the rectangular base. The moveable closure member has first and second major surfaces, which are its upper surface and lower surface when the moveable closure member is in its operative closure position. The base includes a bottom wall and a base side wall extending upward from the bottom wall. In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, the lid includes a first stepped flange extending laterally outward from a lower portion of the lid side wall, and the base includes a second stepped flange extending laterally outward from an upper portion of the base side wall. Internal portions of the respective first and second stepped flanges form a button latch for securing locking the container in a closed position. In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, the lid side wall includes a plurality of facets interconnected at corners.

Abstract: A plastic dome lid for a drinking cup is disclosed which has the capability of functioning as a complete closure lid for the cup and as a drink through lid employing a recloseable flip-open lid segment for this purpose. The dome lid is provided with a lower section that has a downwardly facing annular channel for receiving and engaging the rim of the cup and an upper section which includes a raised C-shaped dome. An intermediate section is provided between the upper and lower sections forming a central area located within and depressed relative to the C-shaped dome. A transverse wall extends from one leg to the other leg within the bite of the C-shaped dome and upwardly from the lower section to a location above the central area and below the upper sections so as to define a raised rib across the bite. A recloseable flip-open segment forms part of the lower section and extends inwardly from a location on the annular channel to a hinge line on the bottom section.
