Abstract: A vending machine includes two horizontal lead screws, a vertical lead screw, first and second motors, a shelf, a delivery cup, and a delivery area. The first and second motors drive the horizontal lead screws and the vertical lead screw, respectively. The vertical lead screw moves horizontally along the horizontal lead screws. The shelf contains a product and has a movable gate to hold the product on the shelf. The delivery cup moves vertically along the vertical lead screw and has a solenoid and a plunger. The solenoid activates the plunger, which opens the gate to dispense the product onto the delivery cup. An outer door of the delivery area isolates the delivery area from outside the vending machine when closed and provides access to the product from outside the vending machine when open. A mechanical interaction between the delivery cup and the delivery area opens the outer door.

The method includes the steps of: acquiring information associated with a serving place of the robot and information on a customer visiting the serving place; determining service guide information including information on at least one of a travel route to a table to be provided to the customer, among a plurality of tables in the serving place, and a conversation scenario to be provided to the customer during travel to the table to be provided to the customer, with reference to the information associated with the serving place and the information on the customer; and providing the customer with a service associated with the serving place by the robot with reference to the service guide information.

Abstract: A kiosk maintains a list of pre-paid orders. A first authentication process enables a consumer to select their order on the kiosk so as to receive the product or service that was remotely paid for via a mobile application. Authentication of the consumer selecting the order is performed based upon sending an order authentication notification to the mobile application that completed the order. If the user of the mobile application provides a positive authentication reply, the kiosk is unlocked to fulfill the order. The consumer may alternatively be authenticated by providing a personal identification number (PIN) that is associated with the order or associated with a user of the mobile application. Authentication using the PIN enables a consumer to interact with the kiosk to receive the previously ordered product or service without having to access their mobile phone or mobile application that was used to place the order.

In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a first cylinder that defines an interior region that can contain a volume of carbonated water and a first piston separating the interior region. A second cylinder is coupled to the first cylinder and defines an interior region and a second piston separating the interior region and operatively coupled to the first piston. The interior region of the second cylinder can contain a volume of beverage concentrate. A flywheel assembly is operatively coupled to the first cylinder and to the first piston and can control a predetermined ratio of a volume of carbonated water from the first cylinder and a volume of beverage concentrate from the second cylinder to be dispensed when a force is exerted on the piston by a flow of carbonated water through the first cylinder.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide a unique touchless combination device that provides simultaneous convenient use of three features, such as dispensing of liquid sanitizer, access to paper tissues, and a compartment for immediate and safe disposal of used tissues. Touchless operation is provided by use of several proximity sensors which allow to access and use all features of the device without need to touch any part of it. Disclosed embodiments also utilize UV LED lights for the purpose of disinfecting used and disposed tissues.

A personal care article can be withdrawn from the collection kit, used, and discarded back into an interior region of the enclosure of the collection kit. A sanitizer can be expelled from within the enclosure and can easily be dispensed by a one hand function. The sanitizer is spread on a user's hand discreetly inside the liner and enclosure. The hand can be dried with the absorbent material again by a one hand function. A brewing machine ordinarily used for brewing tea or coffee may be utilized to brew a still beverage. A pre-prepared still beverage mixture may be added to a brew basket or filter within the brewing machine. The brewing machine may then be activated. Water may flow through or be added to the pre-prepared still beverage mixture as it exits the brew basket or filter and enters a dispenser or reservoir. Sweeteners, flavorings and/or pulp may be added to the pre-prepared still beverage mixture as it enters the dispenser or reservoir. This may change the flavor, intensity, texture, and/or taste of the brewed still beverage according to the needs of the operator or the preferences of those who will drink the brewed still beverage.
