Abstract: The invention relates to a welded-in plastic spout part that is to be joined to a plastic receptacle part, especially a receptacle part made of film-type plastic material such as a pouch. The inventive spout part comprises parallel planar weld-on ribs which extend along the circumference of a neck area (spout) that defines a pouring passage. A rib-shaped welding burr that is less thick than the weld-on ribs is provided at the outer circumference of said weld-on ribs. The welding burr is molded onto an outer rounded peripheral edge of the weld-on ribs. A partition which protrudes radially on both sides of the neck area is arranged perpendicular to the weld-on ribs. Both ends of said partition extend beyond the ends of the rib base area so as to form lateral flaps. • Patent number: 7841549
Abstract: An electrostatic spraying device has a removable cartridge with a reservoir containing a volume of liquid compositions to be electrically sprayed. The device includes a nozzle for dispensing the liquid and an emitter electrode disposed adjacent to the nozzle for charging the liquid composition just being dispensed from the nozzle. A field electrode surrounds the reservoir in order to charge the liquid composition within the reservoir, thereby avoiding an occurrence of electric current which would deteriorate the composition remaining in the reservoir. The reservoir is at least partially made of deformable material such that the reservoir is capable of receiving pressure to deform and thus supply the liquid composition out of the reservoir. Thus, the reservoir can be designed into a simple and compact structure, thereby providing an increased liquid containing volume in relation to the bulk of the removable cartridge.

Abstract: An electrostatic spraying device has a capability of confirming that the device is ready for making an electrostatic spraying of the liquid composition on a user's skin. The device includes a nozzle and a pump for dispensing the liquid composition out through the nozzle. An emitter electrode is disposed to electrostatically charge the liquid composition being dispensed for making the electrostatic spraying. The device is provided with a power switch and a selector for selection between a spraying mode and a dripping mode. In the dripping mode, the pump is alone actuated to dispense the liquid composition absent electrostatic charge. In the spraying mode, both of the pump and the emitter electrode are activated to make the electrostatic spraying. Thus, the user can be easy to drip the liquid composition by simply manipulating the selector prior to initiating the electrostatic spraying.

A preformulated polishing slurry is packaged within a container having flexible walls. When it is time to replenish the polishing slurry in a polishing apparatus, an operator manipulates the sealed container by hand, which causes deformation of the container walls. The web separation occurs inside the dispersing bubble, forcing an edge breach 12E in the breaching seal. The compressed transport fluid rapidly escapes as a released blast through the edge breach. Abstract: A three seal sachet and method of manufacturing the sachet. The sachet includes a film having first and second longitudinal sheet edges and opposed first and second sheet faces. The film is folded to form opposed first and second sachet faces where the film is sealed to itself along marginal portions of the first and second longitudinal sheet edges on the first sheet face thereby forming a tube with a longitudinal seal on the second sachet face. First and second transverse seals bond the film along the marginal portions of the first and second transverse edges of the sheet, thereby closing the tube at each end. The sachet also includes a dispensing device disposed on the first or second face. The disposed device includes a flange which is inserted into the first sachet face and secures the device to the sachet and a dispensing orifice enabling product to be dispensed from the sachet.

Abstract: A flexible container for holding a liquid includes two walls made of a flexible material, the free overlaying edges of the walls being assembled together by a weld or an adhesive seam so as to define an inner sealed volume of the container. The two walls also define a spout designed to protrude outwards from a peripheral portion of the container, and an outflow channel connects the spout with the inner volume of the container. One or several obstacles are formed by welding or bonding together the two walls in the inner volume, substantially opposite from and in the vicinity of, the channel leading to the spout in such a manner as to limit the section of the passage available for the liquid between the inner volume and the outflow channel. One narrowed passage is left open in such a manner that a portion of the surface including the spout is deflected. This portion of the surface is substantially defined by the obstacle(s) and by folds directed substantially transverse with respect to the obstacles.

  • Patent number: 7637401
Abstract: A container including a nozzle and body depending therefrom. The body is preferably tubular and defines an interior which retains a product to be dispensed. A cap engages the nozzle to prevent inadvertent release of the product. In order to dispense the product, the cap is removed and pressure is applied to the body and the nozzle allows release of the product. The nozzle releases the product without exposing the remaining product to the external atmosphere, thus the sterility of the interior of the body is maintained and the shelf life of the product is increased. The nozzle includes an inner body, coupled to the tubular body, surrounded by a flexible outer cover. A seam between the inner body and flexible outer cover forms a one-way release valve wherein a portion of the seam remains closed during dispensing the product.

The formed product is filled with a gel product and a viscous paste product as contents, which are very stable and are not separated from water, together with gas. In this package, upon opening, the gel product is easily discharged without adhering or sticking to a surface of contact with a polymeric film surface, and, further, the whole quantity of the paste product is discharged into the formed product without adhering and staying.

Abstract: An improved device for dispensing toothpaste from a flexible tube using only manual pressure on the flexible tube. The device is formed to fit precisely the inner shape of the toothpaste tube and slides forward as the tube is manually squeezed from the outside. As the device moves toward the tube opening the toothpaste is expelled. Friction strips attached to the device on two sides come into contact with friction strips on the two interior sides of the toothpaste tube. As the device is propelled forward by manual pressure it is prevented from moving rearward toward the closed end of the toothpaste tube because of the friction strips. Thus as the tube is depressed and the toothpaste is expelled the flattened portion of the tube remains flattened and the tube is ready for the next use.

Abstract: There is a toothpaste tube with flexible wall that deforms under atmospheric pressure. One end of the tube is closed and the other end has a head attached with an opening for dispensing. Inside the tube at the head there is a resilient dispensing member extending along a small fraction of the tube length. The dispensing member has a cavity to accommodate the paste. In the first embodiment, the dispensing member has two prongs extending from the head on the two flatter sides of the tube. The dispensing member can be squeezed together with the tube by hand or between fingers to reduce the size of its cavity and dispense the paste through the opening. Upon release of hand or finger pressure, the dispensing member returns to the original shape and brings its adjacent part of the tube into original shape. The expansion of the dispensing member and the tube adjacent to it creates a vacuum that pulls the paste from the farther parts of the tube and fills the cavity and the tube at the opening end.
