  • Patent number: 5020725
Abstract: A manual, portable spray apparatus is disclosed to enable a worker to spray fields in a remote area where batteries may be difficult to obtain. The apparatus includes a portable chemical liquid storage tank, from which gravity feeds agricultural liquid chemicals to a rotary spray head. The spray head is powered by a small electric motor which receives its electrical current from a portable dynamo. The portable dynamo is rotated by a portable gear train which in turn is functioned by a hand crank. The worker can maintain spraying operations by rotating the crank as he walks and by applying the rotary spray head to the desired areas to be sprayed as the entire apparatus is moved. The dynamo output can be connected to accessory electrical or electronic equipment such as a radio transmitter, a transistor radio or a lamp to thereby achieve maximum utility under all conditions of use.

  • Patent number: 5011044
Abstract: The anti-assault device of this invention consists of a sealed, rupturable vial, a base with one set of resilient fingers to retain the vial and a second set to support the cover, and a cover having a skirt containing projections which reset upon and engage the second set of resilient fingers and having at least one projection for rupturing the vial. The rupturing projections are on the rear face so that when force is exerted against the front face of the cover the projections rupture the vial. This causes a foul smelling repulsive chemical contained therein to be released and to repel a would be attacker.

  • Patent number: 4997110
Abstract: A concealable water shooter is provided and consists of a sealable reservoir for holding water therein removably attached to an upper arm of a person. A housing is carried on a forearm and into a palm of a hand of the person so that it can be hidden from view when covered by a sleeve of a garment worn by the person. A pump in the housing is fluidly connected between the reservoir and a nozzle in the housing. An electronic system in the housing, controllable by a finger of the person, electrically operates the pump so that some of the water will exit through the nozzle and can spray onto another unsuspecting person.

  • Patent number: 4948023
Abstract: A fluid storing and supply device includes two fluid containers supported within outer pouches and a conduit extending from each fluid container through which liquid contained in the containers can be consumed. A harnessing arrangement for harnessing the device to the body of a person which includes straps of predetermined length whereby the pouches can be suspended on a person's rib cage with one pouch abutting the person's chest and the other pouch abutting the person's back. Further straps permit tying of the positioned pouches to the rib cage in a manner that the pouches bear upon the rib cage so that a substantial part of the pressure exerted by the weight of fluid stored in the fluid containers is distributed over the surface area of the rib cage borne upon by the pouches and the harnessing arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4925105
Abstract: A rechargeable garden sprayer includes a container having an opening on an upper face, a lower suction tube, and an inlet formed at a side thereof. The inlet cooperates internally with the main body of the container such that liquid poured in through the inlet flows to the container. An engaging body has a base with about the same shape and size as the upper face of the container so as to be mounted on the container. The engaging body includes a number of upstanding hollow tubes along its periphery and a fixing panel to define a retaining recess. A top cover having substantially an inverted U-shaped body has two side panels with a number of downwardly extending poles at an inner side thereof for inserting into the hollow tubes and thus engaging with the engaging body. The top cover has a handle on its uppermost part.
