Abstract: A lamp assembly having fluid dispensing capabilities comprising a housing, a lens having a fluid nozzle retaining sleeve and a fluid nozzle assembly. The lamp assembly is subassembled by snap-fitting these components together, installing a lamp unit to the housing and a seal to the lens. Installation of the lamp assembly into the vehicle is accomplished by connecting the lamp unit to a wire harness, coupling the fluid nozzle assembly to a fluid supply line and securing the lamp assembly in an aperture in the vehicle with a pair of fasteners. The lamp assembly is particularly useful when incorporated into a rearward facing surface of a vehicle as the lamp serves as a center high mount stop lamp and the nozzle assembly is used to dispense a cleaning fluid onto a rear windshield.

Abstract: A spill-resistant pharmaceutical formulation for oral administration from a squeezable container comprises a pharmaceutical agent in a suitable vehicle comprising a liquid base and a thickening agent, the formulation consisting of mutually compatible components and having the following properties: a viscosity within the range of about 7500 to about 12,500 cps using a Brookfield Viscometer with a `C` spindle with Helipath movement at a spindle speed of 20 rpm and 20-25.degree. C., a viscometric yield value of a semi-solid, a spill-resistant consistency permitting the composition to be squeezed by light manual pressure through a channel, to spread in a spoon bowl sufficiently quickly for accurate measurement, and to remain in the spoon bowl without spilling on spoon inversion, tilting at 90 degrees, and vibration, homogeneity such that the components do not separate under conditions of use, and a storage stability such that the foregoing properties are retained for at least two years shelf life.

Abstract: Apparatus for use with a conventional caulking gun for enabling a user to clean caulk from the user's finger or fingers includes an open-topped receptacle defining an upper edge and a finger-receiving cut-out portion defined within the edge. Clips are connected to the receptacle for cooperating with the caulking gun and removably holding the apparatus in fixed position with respect to the gun so that the user can wipe his finger or fingers across the edge within the cut-out portion to remove caulk from the user's finger and to neatly collect the removed caulk within the receptacle.

The hand-held device includes a remote-control mechanism for remotely activating an alarm system in a home, building, and/or motor vehicle, and a source of high-intensity sound emanating from the defense device, which can be electronically programmed to send an "S.O.S." signal in Morse code. Further defense of self is provided by bright lights and a spray of a chemical repellent.

Abstract: A device for dispensing fluid is provided which evenly applies fluid products to hair while the hair is being separated with the device. Combing is thereby facilitated and assisted by dispensing conditioner with the device. The device comprises a head, a plurality of teeth and a handle connected to the head. The teeth are removably attached to a front plate of the head. A shock absorber element provides an interface between a back plate of the head and the front plate. Flexibility of the front plate and removability of the teeth provide an improved combing/fluid dispensing device.

Abstract: A spherical bottle has a pump spray atomizer connected at a neck opening and a thin plastic sheet with printing or a graphic inside the bottle. The bottle contains a liquid fragrance or body splash which can be atomized. Flakes or chips resembling falling snow are dispersed within the bottle. The chips are large enough so that they do not fit into the spray pump mechanism. A ceramic base receives the spray atomizer so that the bottle can stand on the base with the spray atomizer down when it is stored. When stored on the base, the bottle has the appearance of a snow globe and can be used decoratively.

Abstract: Hand-holdable containers for various, liquid, powder and solid products can be made suitable for a "second use" by providing such containers with an animal simulating configuration, a first opening in the animal's nose region for dispensing an original product stored in the container and a sealed second opening that can be readily unsealed when the original product stored in the container is used up so that said container can be used to store or display other items.

Abstract: A new refrigerated beverage dispenser for dispensing a cool beverage. The inventive device includes an insulated housing having a generally rectangular configuration. The housing has a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a back wall, and opposed side walls. The front wall has an upper opening therein. The front wall has a lower opening therein. The lower opening is in communication with the upper opening. The lower opening is dimensioned for receiving a drinking glass therein. A refrigeration unit is disposed within the insulated housing. A reservoir is slidably received within the upper opening of the housing. The reservoir has an open upper end and a closed lower end. The closed lower end has a spout extending downwardly therefrom for positioning within the lower opening of the housing.

Abstract: A combination drink and spray sports bottle defines a nested arrangement of inner and outer containers that provides a nested set of segregated inner and outer chambers for containing separate quantities of liquid, with a drinking straw being provided for withdrawing drinking liquid from the outer chamber, and with a manually operated spray device being provided for withdrawing spraying liquid from the inner chamber. The outer container has an upstanding body that defines a relatively large neck opening near its upper end, through which the upstanding body of the inner container is insertable. A large cap closes the large neck opening of outer container. A central opening and an off-center opening are formed through the large cap. The straw extends through the off-center opening of the large cap and has a lower end region for depending into a quantity of drinking liquid carried in the outer chamber.

Abstract: A dispensing head for dispensing product from a reservoir having at least one of a pump and a valve includes a body configured to be mounted on the reservoir and a movable portion connected to the body by a hinge permitting pivotal movement of the movable portion during displacement of an actuating surface on the movable portion. The movable portion is configured to actuate the at least one pump and valve in response to the pivotal movement and includes an applicator capable of receiving product from the reservoir when the at least one pump and valve is actuated. The dispensing head also includes a guide configured to substantially limit movement of the movable portion to the pivotal movement about the hinge.

Abstract: A water bottle in accordance with this invention comprises a liquid container, which may be identical to the containers presently used in known portable water bottles, and a lid assembly attached to the container and covering an upper opening therein. The lid assembly has an opening through which a flexible tube extends. The lid assembly has an upstanding wall that defines a liquid reservoir surrounding the straw separate from the liquid container. The lid assembly defines a path for the tube that is disposed exterior to an interior sidewall of the reservoir. The liquid reservoir may be filled with liquid from the container by directing the upper end of the straw into the reservoir and squeezing the container to force the liquid therein through the straw. This provides an open reservoir of liquid from which a pet can drink without contaminating the liquid within the liquid container.

The combination cellular phone and personal defense system includes a cellular telephone having a housing. The housing includes a keypad, a display, an ear piece, a speaker, and an antenna. A personal defense system is incorporated into the housing of the cellular telephone.

Abstract: Apparatus operable for dispensing toothpaste from an outlet opening at one end of a collapsible toothpaste containing tube is disclosed. The present apparatus includes a base member having a nozzle mounted adjacent a first end. The nozzle is adapted for cooperatively receiving and holding the one end of the collapsible toothpaste tube and has a passage therethrough for dispensing toothpaste from the tube. A pinch roller assembly is mounted to the base member for movement therealong between a location spaced from the nozzle and a location adjacent the nozzle, the pinch roller assembly including a pair of pinch rollers defining a space therebetween adapted for receiving the toothpaste tube in a generally collapsed condition. The outer surface of at least a first of the pinch rollers is adapted for engaging the tube so as to be capable of moving along the tube when rotated.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a manually operated self-defense device with a battery operated flashlight instrument and a spray device for a self-defense spray. The device comprises two connected housing parts (2, 13). The first housing part (2) contains the lighting instrument. The second housing part (13) contains a compartment into which a spray can (14) is inserted; this spray can compartment has a spray opening (19) and an actuating opening (20). With this arrangement the lighting instrument and the spray device complement and support each other to provide an effective defense.

Abstract: A fluid dispenser used to administer fixed or adjustable doses of fluids in oral, intranasal, or injectable applications. The dispenser may be used to draw off fluid from a flexible or rigid bulk container or to draw fluid from a mounted flexible or rigid container such as a sealed-end bag or bottle, or a threaded bag or bottle. The dispenser may include an automatic venting feature to assist with the smooth, easy flow of fluid during an application and to prevent contaminants from being suctioned back into the container. The fluid dispenser generally comprises: a connection member communicatively connected to a fluid source container; a body member having a dose cylinder communicatively connected to the connection member; a piston member operationally related to the dose cylinder and spring biased in an extended position; and a trigger member attached to the piston member and communicatively connected to the dose cylinder through the piston member.

Abstract: A bag rack for holding flexible thermoplastic bags includes a base and an upstanding support frame with the base. A bag carrier is attached to the frame and is adapted for extending through respective aligned openings in the bags for carrying the bags on the rack. A liquid container is attached to the frame, and includes a dispenser assembly for dispending a controlled amount of liquid on the fingers of a user to facilitate individual removal of the bags from the bag carrier.

Abstract: Pepper spray canister is mounted in the tubular bore of a cane or walker leg or handle, and is actuable by a trigger mounted adjacent, or in, the handle after release of a safety interlock. Several embodiments are shown, both with the canister in the handle or remote therefrom, and wherein the spray can exit the base (tip) of the cane leg or adjacent the handle. One embodiment comprises a trigger interlock button sleeve mountable at the top of the leg with the canister, actuable by a rod passing down the leg, located adjacent the lower end of the leg. Other embodiments include a straight, T-shaped or L-shaped handle which houses the canister. Several trigger mechanisms are shown: first at the rear juncture of the handle and leg; at the forward juncture thereof; or on the forward top surface of the handle.

A filling cap is located fully proximally on the spreading knife and is selectively removable for filling the reservoir. A plurality of vertical passageways extend from the main passageway, each having a vertical passageway end. A blade cover has a flat spreading surface, pressurizes the main passageway and vertical passageways, and has dispensing openings in the flat spreading surface which correspond to the vertical passageway ends. A pump is operable to force air into the reservoir, and cause the substance to be dispensed through the dispensing openings onto the flat spreading surface to spread the condiment onto a bread surface.

Abstract: A device for controllably dispensing a flowable food product from a squeezable container includes a blade elongated between a hollow base extremity and a distal extremity. The blade is bounded by opposed flat side surfaces and top and bottom edges. The bottom edge has an elongated slot opening. A channel communicates between the base and the elongated slot. A threaded bore in said base facilitates attachment to the exit opening of the container.

Abstract: A dispenser for moistening paper articles consisting of an H-shaped structure in which the central section and the end sections together serve as a reservoir for a liquid such as a disinfectant or moisturizer. The dispenser fits over a roll of toilet tissue and the central section includes a spray pump for directing a fine mist spray onto sheets of toilet tissue. If desired, the roll support can be a unitary part of the dispenser assembly.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical formulation in semisolid form useful for systemic treatment of an illness is disclosed, as well as a device for containing and measuring a unit dose of the formulation comprising a squeezable container having a cap with a spoon attached thereto and closure for resealing the squeezable container after use. A child proof closure useful for the device is also disclosed.

Abstract: An attack repellent holder for securing an attack repellant device to a user's hand is provided. The attack repellant device includes a canister of attack repellent. The attack repellant holder includes a body having a cavity defined therein. The cavity is adapted for a close conforming fit to an exterior portion of the canister of attack repellent. A plurality of finger rings are attached to the body. The finger rings are positioned such that a user's fingers can be inserted in the finger rings to secure the device to a user's hand.

Abstract: A multi-chambered tooth care dispensing device and more particularly, to a device that dispenses toothpaste, mouthwash and dental floss all from one convenient package. The toothpaste and the mouthwash are stored in side by side chambers and the dental floss is stored in the lower portion of the dispensing package and is led through a top opening that is provided with a floss cutting knife to allow the user to cut the floss to the desired length. The toothpaste and the mouthwash is delivered by hand action of a three way finger switch connected to a one-way set of gears and screw auger each connected to a piston. This forces the contents of each chamber up and out of the delivery outlet. The three-way hand/finger operated switch may be set to toothpaste in one direction and to mouthwash in the other direction with an off position in between.

Abstract: A combination dispenser and personal care tool device is in the form of a rigid container for a bathroom item. A retainer or holder is mounted to the container which receives a personal care tool. In a preferred practice of the invention the container is a toothpaste dispenser and the personal care tool is a toothbrush. In a further aspect of the invention the dispenser includes indicia for indicating the contents level in the dispenser.

The device includes a hollow handle with two openings, one for the thumb of a user and one for the spray from a canister of pepper spray inserted within the hollow handle. The device further includes threaded ends for accommodating a set of real or fake weights.

Abstract: A display device for a fluid filler gun head includes a carrying body and a frame attached to an upper surface of the carrying body, defining a display portion for removable display placards. The carrying body can be removable from the gun head or can be an integral part of the gun head itself. A housing is defined in the carrying body for holding one or more replaceable rolls of coupons, and a rotating device, is provided for rotating the coupon rolls and dispensing one or more coupons through a slot in the carrying body. A controller can be provided to control operation of the rotating device, based on information received from an external source, to dispense one or more selected coupons. The information can be a type of fluid being dispensed, a particular product displayed on the display placard, or the like. The dispensed coupons preferably are selected to match the information received by the controller.

Abstract: A device which is attached to the end of a standard kitchen faucet and dispenses liquid soap on to an object to be washed. When dispensing soap the device cuts off the flow of water to permit the user and opportunity to wash the object and conserve water. The device is activated by rotating the device in a first direction which cuts off the flow of water and dispensed liquid soap. When the device is returned to the original position the water flow is restored and the dispensing of liquid soap is stopped.

The fixture is arranged to be placed in electrical contact with a conductive portion of a disc drive assembly that is in electrical contact with a magnetic head of the disc drive assembly. An electrically conductive engagement device mechanically and electrically engages the conductive member in electrical contact therewith. An electrically conductive coupler is mechanically and electrically connected to the engagement device, and electrically conductive connection means is electrically connected between the conductive coupler and a source of ground potential. In one form, the fixture is a fluid dispenser and an electrically conductive receptacle engages the dispensing member. An electrically conductive mounting member is on the dispenser body, and an electrically conductive arm extends from the mounting member to the conductive receptacle.

At least one gas release valve extends through the wall structure accessing the internal fluid chamber for releasing pressurized gas from within the frame structure and a gas transfer device such as an air chuck is connected to the gas release valve externally of the frame section for transferring gas from within the internal fluid chamber to a tire for inflation thereof.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a hand held, thumb actuated irritant dispenser shaped like a night stick. The irritant dispenser comprises a cylindrical handle which is threadably affixed to a disposable cartridge containing a canister of pepper spray. The canister includes a nozzle which is oriented so that the pepper spray is dispensed along the longitudinal axis of the canister. An annular thumbar is electrically connected to a battery and a solenoid which selectively actuates the canister to dispense the pepper spray. A lock is included forming a part of the electrical circuit which helps increase the safety of the device around children.

Abstract: A combination night stick and irritant dispenser is presented in which an irritant dispenser is contained in one end of the night stick and a key lock is positioned in the other end. A slidable actuator encircles the night stick and by sliding the actuator forward a pepper spray or other irritant can be dispensed for protection against assailants or others.

Abstract: A new Self-Defense Device for thwarting off a would-be attacker and allowing a potential victim to flee to safety. The inventive device includes a grasping member adapted for grasping thereof in a user's hand, a plurality of spaced spikes protruding downward from the grasping member, and an end spike protruding from a second end of the grasping member. A self-defense chemical irritant is disposed within a hollow interior chamber of the grasping member and an actuator mechanism is provided at a first end of the grasping member for effectuating release thereof. The grasping member alternatively functions as key-chain wherein a key-ring is provided at the second end thereof.

Abstract: A closed isobaric dispenser for carbonated liquid which is affixed to a capped opening of a carbonated liquid containing bottle or liquid holder in airtight manner. The dispenser includes a container, a connecting adaptor and a cap opener. The interior space of the container defines an airtight closed chamber. The container has an inlet opening for the carbonated liquid flowing from the bottle or holder into the airtight closed chamber, and an outlet access for dispensing the carbonated liquid within the container. The outlet access, for dispensing of the carbonated liquid within the container, is secured with a detachable sealing means in airtight manner. The container is adapted to be firmly secured to the carbonated liquid containing bottle or holder by means of the connecting adaptor in airtight manner, wherein the cap is positioned inside the container.

Abstract: Display apparatus connected to a filler gun of a fuel dispensing station. A carrying body on a prominent part of the filler gun supports a detachable display surface carrier which in turn supports an inflatable balloon shaped element. The balloon shaped element carries an advertising message which is viewable when the balloon shaped element is inflated. A valve on the filler gun is connected to a source of inflation air and to the balloon shaped element. The valve is actuated by the fuel dispensing trigger on the filler gun. During fueling an inflation gas is supplied to the balloon shaped element which in the inflated state prominently displays the advertising message.

Abstract: A combination dispenser for dispensing a cleaning solution and sheets of paper toweling from a roll. The combination dispenser comprises a container and a liquid dispensing fixture releasably secured to the container. The container has a neck portion and an integral base portion, which together form a chamber for receiving and storing a cleaning solution. The neck portion, which extends perpendicularly from and centrally of the base portion, is disposed to be inserted through the cardboard tube of a paper towel roll, rotatably to support the roll on the dispenser. A trigger-type spray nozzle has a cap for threaded engagement with the top of the neck portion to seal the container. The trigger-type spray nozzle also comprises a hose extending into the container for carrying the cleaning solution to the spray nozzle. A retaining member also is provided to prevent unraveling of paper towels from the roll. The invention may be scaled down in size, for use and storage on an automobile, boat, etc.

Abstract: A combination hair styling implement and valve actuator attachment for cylindrical aerosol and pump dispenser containers of the type having a dispensing valve in an upper end thereof. The elongate hair styling implement has a rear portion which when depressed opens the dispensing valve and expels fluid in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the container in a generally conical-shaped spray pattern. The rear portion may contain a spray nozzle and have a central bore for attaching it to an existing discharge tube projecting from the top end of the container or may be configured to fit onto an existing spray nozzle plunger cap at the top end of a discharge tube. The device has a flat portion extending forwardly a distance from the rear portion at an angle relative to an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the container and generally parallel to the outer periphery of the conical-shaped spray pattern.

The tool permits a uniform dispensing at a desired distance and permits the user to dispense the contents into all corners of a room or the like.

Abstract: The present invention relates in general to a portable laundry detergent dispensing system. This unit is divided into three holding containers, one for liquid detergent, one for powdered detergent and one for liquid fabric softener. The center back compartment is a storage compartment for a measuring cup, a mixing rod and other laundry accessories. The storage compartment also includes a coin-holder for nickles, dimes and quarters in the rear wall. The powder dispenser is a cylindrical dump cup having an opening therein which allows a fixed amount of the the solid detergent to flow into a measuring cup. Liquid detergents and softeners are dispensed with a fixed volume hand pump assembly connected to retractable hose assemblies.
