Patent number: 11377340Abstract: A fluid pressure-feed device includes a main tank and a sub tank. The sub tank is connected integrally with an upper portion of a main follower plate that applies pressurizing force to a urethane adhesive inside the main tank. A drum pump is provided in an upper portion of a sub follower plate provided in the sub tank. While the urethane adhesive is flowing into the sub tank from the main tank, the urethane adhesive is fed under pressure from the sub tank to a fluid passage by actuation of the drum pump. While the main tank is being replaced, the urethane adhesive inside the sub tank is fed under pressure to the fluid passage by the drum pump.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2019Date of Patent: July 5, 2022Assignees: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, PYLES JAPAN CO., LTD.Inventors: Masahiro Tasaka, Rikiya Makino, Takashi Suzuki, Takatoshi Urashi, Shouji Suzuki

Patent number: 7997456Abstract: An apparatus converts rotary motion of a motor drive shaft into oscillatory motion of a work piece, for example, in a power tool. The apparatus comprises a planetary gear assembly connected to the motor for rotating an output gear. The output gear meshes with a drive gear including a drive pin. The drive pin fits in a yoke slot for reciprocation of the yoke upon rotation of the drive gear. The yoke is operatively connected to the work piece. An air flow system cools the power tool housing. The housing has an inlet aperture in the handle portion and an outlet aperture for placing the interior of the housing in communication with the atmosphere. A wall integral with the handle portion engages the body of the motor housing between a first end and openings in the body. The wall provides a barrier to minimize air flow between an intake air portion of the interior of the housing and an exhaust air portion.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2009Date of Patent: August 16, 2011Assignee: Alemite, LLCInventors: Jerry D. Patent number: 7249695Abstract: A battery-powered grease gun is provided for enhancing the pressure applied to a blocked grease fitting. The grease comprises a circuit interconnecting the battery and an electric motor. The circuit includes a switch operable by a user and a thermal protector for breaking the circuit at a predetermined temperature. When applying grease to a blocked grease fitting, actuating the switch until the thermal protector reaches the predetermined temperature breaks the circuit until the motor cools and the thermal protector resets for completing the circuit and again energizing the motor. Continuing to maintain the switch in the actuated position until the thermal protector resets causes the pressure in the grease gun to increase with each cycle of the thermal protector.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2004Date of Patent: July 31, 2007Assignee: Alemite, LLCInventor: Jerry D. Patent number: 5913455Abstract: A chamber that communicates with a viscous material reservoir has a flexible resilient diaphragm which forms an exterior wall thereof. An impact mechanism, which may comprise a solenoid actuated hammer, applies a predetermined momentum to the diaphragm for rapidly metering a predetermined minute blob of the viscous material from the chamber through a nozzle. The reservoir is pressurized with gas to force the viscous material into the chamber to refill the same. The chamber is heated to control the viscosity of the material. Dispensing rates in excess of four blobs per second can be achieved. Variations in the height of the nozzle from the surface of the workpiece are not critical to uniform rapid dispensing. An alternate embodiment eliminates the diaphragm and instead rapidly retracts a nozzle relative to a fluid feed conduit to eject very small blobs of viscous material. A strain gauge detects refill of the chamber inside the nozzle and sends a signal to control refill logic circuitry.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 1997Date of Patent: June 22, 1999Assignee: Nordson CorporationInventors: Duong La, Robert L.
