  • Patent number: 8272541
Abstract: A dispenser for measuring and dispensing powder materials includes a slide housing having a powder inlet slot, a slide having a measure slot, and an elastic element. The slide is pressed against the slide housing by the elastic element to make the slide move relative to the slide housing. The slide moves between the first position and the second position. On the first position, the measure slot is in alignment with the powder inlet slot and the powder is filled into the measure slot; on the second position, the measure slot moves away from the powder inlet slot and the powder is discharged from the measure slot. The elastic element makes the slide press against the slide housing during moving to reduce the clearance between the slide and the slide housing, makes the slide move smoothly, and reduces the precision demand of manufacture and assembly.

Abstract: A dispenser for measuring and dispensing powder materials includes a slide housing, a slide, and an elastic element. The slide housing is provided with a powder inlet slot. The slide is provided with a measure slot. And the slide is pressed against the slide housing by the elastic element to make the slide move relative to the slide housing. The slide can move between the first position and the second position. On the first position, the measure slot of the slide is in alignment with the powder inlet slot of the slide housing and the powder is filled into the measure slot; on the second position, the measure slot moves away from the powder inlet slot of the slide housing and the powder is discharged from the measure slot. By use of the elastic element, it makes the slide press against the slide housing during moving to reduce the clearance between the slide and the slide housing, makes the slide move smoothly, and reduces the precision demand of manufacture and assembly.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing solenoid valve includes a plunger tube that forms an inlet orifice and an outlet orifice. A plunger that forms a fluid chamber is slidably disposed within the plunger tube. The plunger is movable between a fluid fill configuration, wherein the fluid chamber communicates with the inlet orifice to allow the fluid chamber to be filled and a fluid dump configuration, wherein the fluid chamber communicates with the outlet orifice to allow the fluid chamber to be emptied. The fluid dispensing solenoid valve is used to dispense a very accurate quantity of fluid in very controllable manner.

  • Patent number: 5437396
Abstract: Two similar embodiments can dispense condiments from a chamber. A push-valve extends the inside of the chamber through the bottom of the chamber. The valve has an up position which fills and stores a preselected amount of the condiment, and a down position which dispenses the condiment. The valve has an inner cylinder which slides within an outer cylinder. The inner cylinder has an indented area approximating a condiment teaspoon to be dispensed. The outer cylinder has a first hole located inside the chamber. The first hole is aligned with the indented area during the fill position. The outer cylinder has a second hole beneath the chamber so the indented area is aligned with the second hole during the dispensing position. In the first embodiment, a plunger rod attached to the top of the inner cylinder has a spring wrapped around it. Depressing the plunger moves the inner cylinder from the fill to the dispensing position.

  • Patent number: 5050781
Abstract: A dosing device is provided for introducing small doses of a liquid contained in a first chamber into a second liquid flowing in a second chamber. The device includes a body traversed by a bore which fluidly connects the chambers to one another and in which slides a push pin mounted on a sliding member and a follower pin mounted freely between the push pin and an abutment bar attached to the sliding member. The sliding member reciprocates parallel to the axis of the bore whereby the follower pin is pushed in one direction by the abutment bar and in the opposite direction by the push pin. A space separating the follower pin from the push pin constitutes the dosing chamber which is displaced between the first and second chambers.

  • Patent number: 4655371
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing particulate material particularly spices includes a closure portion for a container which may or may not be part of the container and defining an opening in the closure portion. A pair of parallel grooves are defined in the closure portion for receiving a plate-like cover member which slides along the grooves to close the opening. A measuring member separate from the closure portion and the cover member can be engaged with the cover member by a peg and recess coupling and then slid along the grooves in common movement with the cover member to a position where it receives a measured charge of the material. The measuring member can then be withdrawn which acts also to withdraw the cover member to re-cover the opening. A separate shaker piece can also be inserted into the slide grooves to displace the cover member, the shaker piece having perforations so that the material can be dispensed by shaking from the covered opening.

  • Patent number: 4384659
Abstract: An apparatus and method for pumping powdered materials. The apparatus includes a hopper having a discharge outlet in one end wall thereof. An agitator gently stirs the powdered material to prevent it from bridging and packing in the hopper. A sliding cylindrical sleeve, axially aligned with the discharge outlet, and a main piston therein are movable in the hopper for successively entrapping, or segregating, and discharging a portion of the powdered material through the discharge outlet. An auxiliary hydraulic cylinder within the sleeve contains a plunger that slides through a bore in the main piston. The plunger is independently movable relative to the main piston and sleeve, and, upon retraction, provides a void in the entrapped material to prevent bridging and packing in the sleeve. A fluidizing element in the hopper below the path of travel of the sleeve keeps the powdered material in a loose condition to further eliminate any tendency to bridge or pack in the sleeve.
