Axially Rotary And Longitudinally Movable Tubes, Sleeves, Or Apertured Caps Patents (Class 222/519)
  • Patent number: 11246434
Abstract: The invention relates to a closing device for a beverage container, comprising a closing body and a closing lid, said closing lid being mounted such that it can rotate, relative to the closing body, between a flow state and a sealed state. A liquid channel of the closing body is released in the flow state and blocked in the sealed state. A guide device is arranged between the closing lid and the closing body. The guide device has two preferred positions, which define the sealed state and the flow state. The rotatable mount between the closing lid and the closing body is in the form of a threaded mount.

Abstract: The non-limiting embodiments described herein disclose a container and a cap. The cap seals a container while providing a separate internal storage area for liquid or power contents. A seal disposed at the bottom of the cap ensures that the storage area contents remain fresh and sterile until the cap is rotated to release the seal. The clockwise rotation and threaded engagement of the storage area with the lower cylindrical collar and the upper cylindrical collar releases the seal from the bottom of the cap, while centrifugal forces within the cap urge the storage area contents into the container.

Abstract: The invention relates to a plastic closing device comprising a bottom part, a closing cap, and a cutting ring which is mounted inside the neck of the bottom part so as to be helically movable. A driving cam (16) which is axially disposed in the closing cap acts upon the non-continuously circular cutting ring when the closing cap is unscrewed such that the cutting ring perforates and cuts through the receptacle in a helical cutting movement. The cutting ring forms a ventilating concavity (6) which cooperates with the driving cam (16). The non-circular cutting ring, the bottom side of which is provided with a sharp cutting edge extending at an obtuse angle relative to the bottom edge of said ring, performs a helical cutting movement similar to an advancing knife when the closing cap is unscrewed such that the receptacle wall is easily cut by applying a minimum amount of force because a new sharp point constantly attacks the packaging material, thus preventing shredding.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for dispensing fluids into an air line comprises a container having a valve so as to selectively open the container to allow flow of fluids therefrom, the container being configured with a circumferential channel and with a circumferential groove about its perimeter. The apparatus further comprises a cap having a ring configured to engage the groove so as to rotatably mount the cap onto the container, the cap being further configured with a post formed so as to selectively engage the channel and selectively allow the cap to move axially along the container to actuate the valve. A nozzle extends longitudinally from the cap and is configured with multiple apertures and a spiral thread thereabout so as to be threadably inserted into the air line and dispense fluids therein upon actuation of the valve.

  • Publication number: 20040173644
Abstract: A fitment is described for use with a container such as a paperboard carton, having an operable section such as a removable disc surrounded by a pre-scored track. The fitment comprises a housing (3) secured to the container surrounding the removable disc (14). A central section (10) is attached to the disc (14), and to the housing (3) by means of arms (18) such that it can adopt either one of two bistable positions. Unscrewing of a closure (4) causes the central section (10) to flip from one of its bistable positions to the other, pushing the removable disc in to the carton to provide an opening therein. The disc (14) remains attached to the central section (10), laterally displaced from its original position, to act as a flow regulator to prevent ‘glugging’ when liquid product exits the carton.

  • Patent number: 6669063
Abstract: A The invention discloses an assembly consisting of a head (1, 1′, 200) and an overcap (30, 30′, 30″, 300), the head having a cylindrical neck provided with a helical screw thread (21), the overcap having a cylindrical skirt (31) provided with a thread (36) matching the neck thread (21). The overcap carries an axial plate (33) radially flexible and circumferentially rigid. The neck base (10) is provided with at least an opening stop (12), and at least a closure stop (11), of lesser height. When the overcap (30) is screwed on the head for mounting the assembly, the free end of the axial plate is urged into contact with a first wall (14) of the opening stop (12) and the axial plate whereof the free end is urged by a centrifugal motion, is elastically deformed then, folds down towards the neck in a space between the opening (12) and closure (11) stops, its displacement being thereby restricted.

  • Publication number: 20030173380
Abstract: A modular valve assembly provides an airtight, shockproof, leakproof and evaporation proof closure effective for sealing engagement with the neck or outlet of a flexible or reducible container. The modular valve assembly is effective in preventing: (1) leakage of fluids from the container due to vibration or changes in temperature or pressure; (2) any backflow or reentry of contaminants through the valve assembly, including air; and (3) evaporation of fluid from the container. If the fluid initially is sterile, the closure maintains the sterility of the remaining fluid in the container during and between dispensings of the fluid. Thus, the modular valve assembly extends the useful life of the fluid in the container to its shelf life. Although the user makes many dispensings from it, the container behaves as though she or he had never opened it. Thermostable fluids delivered through this modular valve assembly have no need for preservatives or refrigeration.

  • Patent number: 6601740
Abstract: A closure device has a hollow body with a side opening for liquid, an open end, and a closure end portion, and is slidably engaged in an end-piece screw-threadedly engaged on the end part of a neck of a bottle. The closure device seals the bottle when pressed down into the neck until its closure end portion seals against a ridge defining the end mouth of the outlet conduit constituted by the neck and its end-piece. When the device is raised to engage a lower bead in a groove of the end-piece, liquid can be poured out of the bottle by way of the interior of the hollow body and the opening while air enters the bottle by way of an air inlet region and venting passages leading to an air outlet port. An inner barrier to liquid is formed by contact between the widest part of a skirt of the hollow body and the internal surface of the neck.
