Patent number: 7753240Abstract: A closure for a liquid container includes a spout and a loop member extending upwardly from an end wall of the closure. The loop may be sized to receive a user's finger or attachment hardware such as a clip, hook or strap extending through the loop. A flip cap is supported for rotational movement on the loop and is movable between a closed position in which the spout is covered and an open position in which the spout is exposed. The flip cap includes a plug seal that is configured to engage and seal with a top edge of the spout when the cap is moved to the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2006Date of Patent: July 13, 2010Assignee: Nalge Nunc International CorporationInventors: Richard A. Patent number: 7618360Abstract: The present invention relates to a base insert device for crossed base valve bags for the formation of crossed bases in paper bags, by means of folding devices which introduce folds at the ends of the tubular sections from which the bags are produced, with one or more gluing stations, which apply glue to the regions of the folds for gluing and/or the sheets (5) provided for gluing to the base, in the gluing stations and at least one pressing station in which the folded bases and the sheets (5) are brought into contact and glued. The novelty of the present patent application is that at least one gluing station for the sheets and/or bases is provided, comprising glue outlet openings (22) which may be selectively supplied with glue, whereby the selection of the glue outlet openings (22) defines the format of the glue application (6, 7, 8, 9).Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2004Date of Patent: November 17, 2009Assignee: Windmoeller & Hoelscher KGInventors: Marco Daher, Uwe Koehn, Andreas Lamkemeyer

Patent number: 6575333Abstract: A method for removing a child-resistant spout closure cap from a spout on a container and a child-resistant spout closure for a container configured to hold either a liquid or a solid material, with the container including a fill opening to the interior of the container and an elongated hollow spout having a distal end and a proximate end, with the proximate end configured to align with the fill opening of the container. The child-resistant spout closure comprises a lip formed on the distal end of the spout defining a spout opening in fluid communication with the interior of the spout, with the lip having a closure recess extending through the lip to a spout wall; and, a cap configured to fill the spout opening. The cap has a lock nub configured to engage the lip and seal the spout opening and selectively pass through the closure recess when the lock nub and the closure recess are aligned. When the lock nub and the closure recess are aligned, the cap is removable from the spout.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2000Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Western Industries, Inc.Inventor: Ronald K. Patent number: 5628962Abstract: An analyzing apparatus has a movable container holding table on which a plurality of liquid containers are arranged. Each liquid container includes a container body accommodating a liquid such as a reagent, an opening portion, and a cap hinged to the container body. The analyzing apparatus further has a cap manipulator device including a hook for manipulating the cap so as to open and close the opening portion of the liquid container. The liquid in the liquid container whose opening portion is opened is aspirated through the opening portion and delivered to a liquid receiving container.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1995Date of Patent: May 13, 1997Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Boehringer Mannheim GmbHInventors: Katsuhiro Kanbara, Hiroyasu Uchida

Patent number: 4823995Abstract: A one piece, resilient, integrally molded container cap consisting of a rotor member, fixed member and a frangible connecting tab. The rotor member has a closed portion and an opening portion, and the fixed member has a closed portion and a sifting and pouring opening. As manufactured, the rotor member is attached to the fixed member by a frangible connecting tab. When desired to attach the container cap to a container, the rotor member is pivoted along the frangible connecting tab to be axially displaced from the fixed member. The rotor member is then pushed down on the fixed member, the members engaging each other by complementary locking surfaces. This action insures that the closed portions of the rotor and fixed members are aligned to prevent the contents of the container from undesired escape and also effects a tight, secure fit of the rotor member to the fixed member.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 1988Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Assignee: Continental Plastics, Inc.Inventor: Duane H.
