Publication number: 20100193545Abstract: The device is a mechanism for dispensing the contents of a collapsible tube. The invention contains a narrow slot inside a body for inserting the end of a tube. A knob is located to the side, which when turned causes the tube to wrap around the body, expelling contents of the tube. A rod is attached to the body on each side of the tube with two loops. The loops allow the rod to remain still while the main body is turned. Once the desired quantity is dispensed, this rod prevents to the tube from unwinding. A disc-shaped plate is fixedly mounted on one end of said inner cylinder in coaxial relation thereto. The disc-shaped plate has a projection-and-groove portion formed at its outer periphery. The projection-and-groove portion has alternate projections and grooves arranged radially. A lock lever is supported at one end on an outer periphery of the outer cylinder. The lock lever is engageable at the other end thereof with the projection-and-groove portion.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1990Date of Patent: April 7, 1992Assignee: Nihon Kohden CorporationInventors: Hiromi Yanagisawa, Seishi Yahata

Patent number: 5064095Abstract: An apparatus including an elongate, cylindrical elastomeric magazine body secured to a forward rigid, cylindrical shaft member, wherein the shaft member includes a forwardly threaded end threadedly mounted to an internally threaded conical valve, wherein the conical valve includes a forward nozzle aperture formed therewithin. The rearward end of the elastomeric body is knotted and the body is fastened to the forward cylindrical portion, wherein the conical forward end is received within a securement sleeve which in turn is mounted to a connector to mount the connector to a source of water to effect filling of the magazine housing to permit selective discharge thereof.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Inventor: Michael J. Patent number: 5058771Abstract: A windup holder mountable to a collapsible container for progressively ejecting stored contents from a spout and storing the spent container. A key member having a slotted body and a winged end mount in rotatively supported relation to a slotted, C-shaped support bracket. In an alternative embodiment, the key is rotatable in a single direction via annular geared portions of the body which mate with projections from the winged end of the key.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1989Date of Patent: October 22, 1991Inventor: William Curtis

Patent number: 5014879Abstract: A device for winding up collapsible tubes, having open and closed ends, to allow full expression of contents from the open end and to prevent the wound tube from unwinding. The device includes an elongated slot shaped opening in one member or mandrel for receiving the closed end of a tube, such as a toothpaste tube. After the tube has been inserted into that slot and some amount of tube contents has been expressed, a handle, pivotally attached to one end of the member containing the slot, is pivoted to an open position not overlying the slot and substantially normal to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel and is used to wind the tube. After winding, the handle will be pivoted back to its closed position where it is horizontally offset from and overlies at least a part of the mandrel and will rest against the wound layer or layers of tubing therebetween. Because of the cooperative relationship of the handle and the mandrel, the tube is prevented from unwinding.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 1986Date of Patent: May 14, 1991Inventor: Robert Hill

Patent number: 4997107Abstract: A grease tube defined by a deformable body, including a forward tube nozzle and a key member to effect a winding and pressurizing of the body, with a dispensing nozzle selectively and securably mounted in a threaded inter-relationship to a forward nozzle of the tube body. Modifications of the invention include a matrix of roughened projections, or alternatively a matrix of suction cups integrally cast to the tube body to enhance frictional engagement of the tube during pressurizing thereof.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 1990Date of Patent: March 5, 1991Inventors: Walter F.
