  • Patent number: 6006964
Abstract: A garment hanger comprises a smooth rod shaped into a substantially horizontal arm coupled to a central, vertical hook. The horizontal arm is substantially the length necessary to span the garment being displayed. Coupled to one end of the arm is a shoulder portion looping back to near the middle of the arm, where the hook extends vertically upward and rearward from the shoulder and arm. The hook is angled such that it settles slightly to one side when loaded and hanging, encouraging garments to overlap when disposed along a hanger bar, but leaving a substantial portion of each garment exposed to frontal view.

  • Patent number: 6006963
Abstract: A tie storage system for convenient storage and retrieval of neck ties, and similar articles, is constructed with a center sheet of flexible plastic having a plurality of tongues on its left and right edges. Front and rear pocket sheets of flexible, clear plastic are attached to opposite sides of the center sheets at a plurality of seams defining a plurality of front and rear pockets created by the clear sheet material between the seams. The pockets are open at both ends and each pocket is aligned with a tongue. A neck tie is stored in a pocket by folding it about one end of the tie board and inserting the tie and board into a pocket with the inserted edge of the board being the edge about which the tie is folded. The tie is retrieved by pushing the board from one end to get it partially out of the pocket at the other end by extracting the board and tie from the pocket by grasping and pulling them.

  • Patent number: 5809470
Abstract: An electronic sound generating message emitting circuitry with message storing on a programmable computer chip mounted to a garment hanger. The sound emitting circuitry comprising an electronic circuit which includes a sound synthesizer, sound producing means and a power supply coupled together for emitting pre-stored messages from a programmed synthesizer chip. A radio signal receiver and transmitter coupled together for transmitting stored messages from the programmable computer chip to a main computer upon receiving an activation signal. Information such as delivery date, price, etc. can be transmitted making receiving of goods and inventory faster and less expensive. The message emitted can be used as a form of direct advertisement emitting sales messages upon pressing of a button or upon vibrations produced by movement of the hanger. The garment hanger can be reused since the computer chip is programmable and the synthesizer chip in the sound producing means is replaceable.

  • Patent number: 5806727
Abstract: An improved unitary garment hangers is provided wherein an angular leg extension of a central hanger support structure, such as a hook, cooperates with, and connects to, the apex connection between upper ends of hanger shoulder supports. The perimeter distance along one shoulder support from the outer end thereof to the angular leg extension is substantially greater than the corresponding distance for the other shoulder support. This shoulder length differential is achieved either by the support angular leg extension or by a combination of this extension with a terminally adjacent upper portion of one shoulder support. Such a garment hanger permits both rapid and easy inserting or removing of the hanger through a garment neck region without stretching or tearing of the garment, and inserting or removing the hanger from underneath the garment.
