Abstract: A securement apparatus for a portable electronic device including a body having a panel and a plurality of elastomeric retainers secured to and extending from the panel. Each retainer forming a loop defining an opening, the openings adapted to receive therein a corner of a handheld electronic device. A tether is connected to and extending from the body. A strap is secured to the tether. An attachment device is operably connected to the strap to secure the apparatus to a member.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for supporting an arm of a user that includes a harness configured to be worn by the user, and an arm support coupled to the harness and including an arm rest to support an arm of the user. The arm support is configured to accommodate and follow movement of the arm without substantially interfering in such movement. The arm support may at least partially offset a gravitational force acting on the arm as the user moves and the arm support follows the movement of the user's arm. For example, the arm support may transfer at least a portion of the weight of the user's arm to the torso or other region of the user's body and/or may apply an opposing force to at least partially offset the gravitational force acting on the arm.

Abstract: The backpack frame device includes back frames mutually spaced apart and connected, shoulder frames which include one ends coupled with the back frames and the other ends extending over shoulders of a user toward a rear of the waist of the user, supporting pads which are hinge-coupled with bottom ends of the back frames and include top ends opposite to the bottom ends and which are configured to support parts of the shoulder frames, shoulder mounted pads which are coupled with the shoulder frames and elastically pressurize both shoulders of the user, and a lumbar support which is coupled with the bottom ends of the shoulder frames and supports the rear of the waist of the user.
Abstract: A device for lifting, supporting, transporting and unloading a kayak, comprising, engagement means for releasably and securely engaging the coaming of the kayak support means for stably supporting the engagement means and engaged kayak on an individual's shoulders and rotation means in engagement with the support means and the engagement means adapted to rotate the engagement means relative to the support means.

Abstract: A backpack that includes an umbrella support assembly and an umbrella. The umbrella is storable within an umbrella storage compartment provided along an entire side edge of the backpack. The collapsible rain canopy is sized to shield the back pack and the user from rain when deployed.
Abstract: A carrier device for umbrellas has a shoulder engaging hook and stabilizer affixed in spaced relation on the lower end of the umbrella shaft. The shoulder hook is concave to conform to the shoulder of the wearer and its free end is angled toward the middle of the back for more secure gripping. The stabilizer is disposed below the shoulder hook and is vertically curved to conform to the upper torso of the wearer and has a concavely curved upper edge to accommodate the arm of the user for stabilizing the umbrella. In addition, the stabilizer includes an opening to provide a handle portion whereby the umbrella may be hand held when not fitted onto the torso.
Abstract: An exoskeletal carriage for articles to be carried by a person. It includes a belt for supporting the carriage. A front and rear blade-like columnar member is attached to the belt. The columnar members include a channel shape along at least a part of their vertical dimension to give columnar support with minimal bending. Articles to be carried can be attached to the columnar members.
