  • Patent number: 8328055
Abstract: A holder for a handheld device such as a smartphone or personal digital assistant (PDA) worn securely on a wrist, that allows the device to selectively rotate to a plurality of desired positions while remaining on the wrist. The holder has a protective shell case rotatably connected to a wrist strap by a pair of interlocking assemblies. In a first embodiment, a spring assembly with a pair of tabs on the wrist strap connects to a socket assembly attached to the shell case. In a further embodiment, the socket assembly on the strap connects to the spring assembly on the case. The shell case holds the device, allowing a user to directly access and use the device single-handedly when worn on the wrist. The device rotates between portrait and landscape positions by grasping the shell case and twisting, and detaches quickly by squeezing the tabs, disengaging the interlocking assemblies.

Abstract: A reversible attachment device comprises a reversible hanger having a piece of hook material on a first side and a piece of loop material on a second side and may optionally be assembled with either side facing an accessory holder. Embodiments of a reversible attachment stabilize and distribute loads from objects in accessory holders. By selecting which side of the reversible hanger faces the accessory adapter, an accessory holder may be suspended from a load-carrying structure having either loop material or hook material. In some embodiments, the hook material and loop material are formed into a sleeve which fits slidably around the reversible hanger. Alternative assembly configurations for an embodiment provide for a range of height adjustment between an accessory holder and a load-carrying structure. Some embodiments include an accessory holder with a reversible attachment device. Other embodiments include a duty belt or other load-carrying structure.

The receptacle has an open article-receiving end and a partially open other end for retaining the nested stack of articles in the receptacle. Attachment means are provided on an exterior surface of the receptacle for pivotally suspending the receptacle from a waste container for rotation relative to the waste container about a pivot point. In use, the receptacle is held on the waste container with the open article-receiving end positioned above the partially open other end. Upon rotation of the receptacle about the pivot point so that the article-receiving end is positioned below the partially open other end, the nested stack of articles are removable under gravity from the receptacle through the open article-receiving end.

  • Patent number: RE45179
Abstract: A case for a portable electronic device such as cell phones, cameras, MP3 players and PDAs wherein said case includes material at the corners to provide protection to the electronic device. To reduce bulk at the corners and allow the material forming the case to conform with the contours of the device, the protection at the corners includes strips of material defining apertures there between. The apertures provide reduction in bulk and allow the case to conform to the corners of the device therein. Alternately, the protection at the corners can be provided by other structures co-molded into the corners of the cases. Such structures include material that is of a reduced thickness than other material used in the case, or structures that are formed to conform to the corners of the case. Such structures can be joined to the material forming the panels of the case by co-molding.
