  • Patent number: 6481528
Abstract: A dual belt system having a load-bearing or “utility” belt as well as a climbing harness waist band. An inner belt is a waistband for a climbing harness, the other outer belt being any typical load bearing belt, such as a military gear belt. The inner harness waistband and the load bearing belt are connected together by a series of releasable loops upon the waistband that may be opened to allow the load bearing belt to be separated from the harness. The loops may be closed and secured, as by fasteners, around a load bearing belt to temporarily connect together the harness waistband and the load bearing belt, so that they functional as an integral unit. Also provided are leg loops, permanently attached to the waistband of the harness, with which a true pelvis-girdling climbing harness may be assembled. The leg loops are stowed in a special pouch on the waistband until such time as they are deployed for use.

  • Patent number: 6478205
Abstract: A portable telephone set holder is comprised of a portable telephone set housing, a holding section extending from the housing, and a suspending section provided on a rear surface of the housing. The housing has an insertion port, into which a portable telephone set is inserted to be housed. The holding section extends from the insertion port and is provided at a location adjacent to the insertion port, which housing is folded toward a front surface of the housing, and engaged with the housing in a disengageable manner. The suspending section forms a supporter insertion block on the rear surface of the housing in a disengageable manner. A supporter such as a belt is inserted into the supporter insertion block, to thereby suspend the portable telephone set holder. The opening surface of the insertion port of the housing is inclined in one orientation. Further, the supporter insertion block is inclined in the same orientation as the inclined orientation of the opening surface.

  • Publication number: 20020084299
Abstract: A tool-carrying assembly to be secured by a waist-encircking belt, and, additionally, by straps encircling the legs of a workman using the belt assembly. The assembly is thus stabilized, and enhanced weight distribution is achieved. Elements of the belt assembly include a waist-encircling band supporting a pair of laterally spaced, depending panels each carrying tool-accepting pockets. The pockets preferably carry visual markings and coding as well as other indicia identifying clearly the specific tools to be “housed” or carried in and to be returned to each pocket after use. Inventory control of the tools is thereby significantly enhanced. Pivotal flaps depending from the band-carried panels serve to cover the tools when not in use, and to prevent the tools from scratching or otherwise marring any article, or fixture, or “workpiece” requiring the workman's attention.

  • Patent number: 6412674
Abstract: An adjustable pocket comprising a pocket chamber and a strap assembly comprising a strap member, a first fastener, and a second fastener. The pocket chamber is adapted to contain equipment such as portable communications devices. The pocket chamber is defined by a front wall, a rear wall having at least one hole formed therein, a bottom wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The strap member has first and second ends. The first fastener fastens the strap member first end to the front wall. The second fastener fastens the strap member second end to the rear wall. The strap member extends through the hole in the rear wall such that the second fastener fastens the strap member second end to an outer surface of the rear wall. The second fastener is preferably a hook and loop fastener that allows infinite fine adjustment of the form factor defined by the adjustable pocket.

  • Patent number: 6308876
Abstract: A tubular receptacle for storing, transporting and carrying a variety of turkey game calls including the box call, push button yelper and the slate/glass call, either independently or in combination. The tube is made of sturdy plastic or other rigid material and has a permanent bottom end and slip on end cap to provide a means of closure. The tube is lined with a cushioned material which holds the game call in place, preventing movement of the game call while inserted inside the tube. The rigidity of the tube helps to prevent damage to the game call from external blows such as being dropped or being sat on. The material used for the tube and end cap is waterproof and protects the game call from the effects of inclimate weather. When inserted in the tube, a game call is protected while in storage in a closet or gun chest, during transportation to and from hunts and during use in the field.
