  • Patent number: 6851591
Abstract: A hang tag to be suspended from a chain below the neck or attached to the shirt pocket of a wearer so as to enable the wearer to reliably carry a pair of glasses, or the like, at times when the glasses are not in use such as, for example, while exercising, bathing, enjoying the beach or, in the case of sunglasses, in cloudy conditions. The hang tag includes an elongated body having a longitudinally extending track formed therethrough. A thumb operated adjustable push pad is located in and slidable along the track. One arm of the pair of glasses to be carried is moved through the track and folded over the bottom edge thereof. A pushing force is then applied to the adjustable push pad to cause the push pad to slide axially along the track and into engagement with the hinge that connects the folded arm to the frame of the glasses. Accordingly, the push pad exerts a clamping force on the hinge to prevent the unintended removal of the eyeglasses from the hang tag.

The garment carrier can also be made from rigid material with a hinge mechanism to allow the handle portion to fold during use or for more convenient storage. An optional gap in the handle allows the handle to be suspended from a closet clothing rack. Alternate embodiments allow written information such as advertising messages to be displayed on the central hook attachment, folding handle grips which provide more comfortable handling, and specialized handles which can also be used to suspend the garments in a closets. The device may be fabricated as a disposable or reusable unit.

Abstract: A gravity responsive apparatus for the carriage of paint and paint application related tools suspended upon the hip of a painter which consists of a hip-supported, belt-attached base member which is flexibly attached by means of a separable ball and socket joint to a freely swinging sealable paint container and fitted tool carrier. Use of the device allows a painter to easily and safely scale ladders and scaffolds without danger of paint spillage and upon arrival at the place of application of paint to simply flip open and fold back the hinged, gasketed cover for access to the paint supply. A variety of painters preparation and application tools may be carried in the integral tool rack which is a part of the apparatus. The freely swinging construction allows the painter to assume almost any position without the probability of paint spillage or tool droppage and being fabricated of a smooth, seamless material, is readily cleanable and requires little care or maintenance.

Abstract: A wrist watch wallet is disclosed having a main band with a watch attached to the outer surface thereof. The main band is designed to conveniently store in a concealed manner such items as currency, keys, and event tickets. The main band is made of thin, flexible, fashionable material and has sufficient length so that it may be wrapped in an overlapping manner around the user's wrist. Attached to the opposite ends of the main band are complimentary primary hook and loop connector pads which are interconnected to hold the main band in place around the user's wrist. During manufacturing, a longitudinally aligned full length opening is formed on the rear surface of the main band which allows access to the full length, longitudinally aligned main pocket formed therein. One end of the main band is closed while the opposite end is opened thereby providing a transversely aligned opening into the main pocket.

  • Patent number: 5301857
Abstract: A truncated cone shaped holder with a serrated top opening receives and grips any size bottle around the neck with opposing support tabs. The broad cone surface imprinted with a logo covers a substantial portion of the bottle. A bracket with a protruding hook connects to the base of the cone with a living hinge. A pin may connect the cone to the bracket to maintain the bracket in a vertical orientation. The holder hooks onto a belt, waistband, bicycle cable, vehicle window, desk handle or other element. The bottle is released by squeezing in two opposing sides of the base of the cone to widen the top opening and release the support tabs from the bottle neck. Alternately pull tabs on the support tabs release the bottle. The holder may be formed in one piece by molding flexible plastic. The hook bracket lays flat for stacking the units for shipping and storing.
