Abstract: A system for providing safety to a hoist having a hook and a chain. The system includes a safety cable threaded through an opening of the hook or an object to be lifted. The system includes a connector connected to the safety cable and the chain such that when the hook and the chain of the hoist are disconnected, the object remains connected to the chain via the connector and safety cable. The connector includes a base portion having a chain opening configured to receive the chain, and a first cable opening configured to receive the safety cable. The connector includes a top portion configured to be coupled to the base portion and cover a portion of the chain opening such that the base portion and the top portion, when coupled together, remain at a substantially fixed position along the length of the chain.

Abstract: A tool holder for a tool belt may include a flexible carrier sheet and at least one belt hanger. The at least one belt hanger may include a belt interface which may be configured to be connected to a tool belt and a carrier sheet connection interface which may be configured to be connected to the carrier sheet. The flexible carrier sheet may include a tool suspension interface which may be configured to connect to a tool or a tool receiver, and a hanger connection interface which may be configured to connect to the carrier sheet connection interface of the belt hanger. The carrier sheet may be configured to connect to the belt hanger by bending the hanger connection interface.

The upper bracket curvingly extends from the main body. The lower bracket curvingly extends from the main body. The lower bracket is positioned proximate to the upper bracket. The lower bracket comprises an aperture. The first support section longitudinally extends from the main body. The second support section longitudinally extends from the main body opposite the first support section. The retaining portion extends from the main body opposite the upper bracket, is resiliently coupled to the main body. The retaining portion is also positioned proximate to the upper bracket opposite the lower bracket and configured to demountably couple the apparatus to a garment.

The storage system includes a mounting panel with a pouch attachment ladder system grid of webbing slots, a plurality of rigid stay protrusion slots and a plurality of mounting hardware holes. A modular lightweight load-carrying equipment holster that has a pouch attachment ladder system grid of webbing. The pouch attachment ladder system grid of webbing fits through the pouch attachment ladder system grid of webbing slots which is then held in place with a rigid stay. The rigid stay further comprises a protrusion in order to prevent the rigid stay from sliding out of the pouch attachment ladder system grid of webbing.

Abstract: A laundry collar having a strap and a fastener that releasably interconnects the opposing strap ends, and a locking clip attached to one end of the strap and having opposing jaws which each have a plurality of teeth. A means for locking the jaws closed around an article of clothing secures the article to the laundry collar.

Abstract: A jewelry clasp includes a lower arm and an upper arm that are hingedly joined to each other at one respective ends thereof. A locking pin is provided adjacent a second end of the upper arm and the locking pin extends toward the respective second end of the lower arm and locked inside a locking receptacle formed adjacent a second distal end of the lower arm. The locking receptacle contains two spring wires that extend transversely to the direction of the locking receptacle, the spring wires being spaced from each other at a distance slightly smaller than the diametrical size of a pin head of the locking pin. The clasp can be used as a general jewelry closure device.

Abstract: An improved tool belt hook is selectively deployable on a portable tool or device. The hook structure is deployable in selected directions or positions on the tool. A stowed position is also preferably included wherein the hook structure is substantially contained within confines of the tool body to be out of a user's way. A closely integrated pushbutton release may allow the hook to rotate between selected operative positions and automatically engage to such position. The button is easily operated while effectively remaining within confines of the tool body. The tool hook assembly is compact and low cost.

The round section has multiple pairs of indexing apertures, each positioned incrementally from a successive pair. A two piece rafter hook system includes: a first piece having a rafter hook band with a semi-circular band portion positioned in direct contact with the round section; and a second piece defining an “L” shaped rafter hook. The rafter hook includes: a first hook portion having first and second indexing bolts connected to the first hook portion; and a second hook portion oriented normal to the first portion. The first and second indexing bolts create detent connections when engaged with the indexing apertures. Connection of the first and second indexing bolts to any pair of indexing apertures releasably retains the rafter hook at selectable predefined orientations on the round section.

Abstract: A hook assembly that assists a person in engaging the handle of a pull cord from a gasoline engine. The hook assembly engages the handle with a hooked plate. The hooked plate has a curved section that forms a catch trough that directly engages and holds the handle of the pull cord. A cord slot is disposed within the curved section of the hooked plate. The cord slot extends into the catch trough. This divides the hooked plate into two curved fingers on either side of the cord slot. A wrist band is wrapped around the wrist of a user. The hooked plate is joined to the wrist band with a pivoting connection. The pivoting connection enables the hooked plate to be selectively positioned between a deployed position and a stored configuration.

The device may comprise a pulling hook formed from relatively thin material, a handle for grasping, and a strap connecting the handle to the pulling hook. The handle may be configured as a T-handle. The strap may bear adhesive to discourage the card from sliding along the length of the strap. The device may have a pushing hook opening in a direction opposite that of the pulling hook, such that the card may be inserted between and engage the pushing hook and the pulling hook and be entrapped therebetween. The hook may have sufficient overall length to project outside a pocket into which the card has been stored and in which the card is fully contained.

Abstract: A tool holding device is disclosed that securely but removeably holds tools such as cordless drills and nail guns to a tool user by means of a hook and or lanyard. The device is comprised of a belt mounted holder, a mechanical fastening device that is fastened to the handle of a tool, and a J-shaped hook that removeably attaches on one end to the handle mounted mechanical fastening device and on the other end to a belt mounted holder. This invention allows the tool user to securely hold their tools to themselves without endangering those working near by. The belt mounted holder provides a spring biased structure to secure itself to a belt or clothing as well as structure to securely receive one end of the J-shaped hook which can be removeably attached to the handle of a tool by the handle mounted mechanical fastening device attached to the other end.

Abstract: An apparatus that aids emergency personnel in transporting and carrying incapacitated people on stretchers or similar devices is herein disclosed. The apparatus comprises a belt worn by a user around the lower or middle back. The belt is designed to prevent back strain and injury by keeping the spine aligned and by forcing the user to maintain a proper posture when lifting a patient. The apparatus also comprises a harness to give additional support to the back and non-captive hook positioned on either the front or buckle area of the belt. The hook aids in supporting the stretcher or gurney when the user of the apparatus is an upright position. Its non-captive design allows for quick disconnection should the user stumble, fall or lose their balance.

An example of personal item carrier includes at least one elongated flexible strap, the elongated flexible strap having a first end, a second end, and a mid section, the first end and the second end each including a waist connector that is adapted for engaging the waist portion of the user's garment. A coat hook is attached to the elongated flexible strap at about the mid section of the elongated flexible strap so that the coat hook is positioned over the wearer's back when the elongated flexible strap is worn as disclosed. The coat hook or coat hooks are used to support personal items such as coats, purses, or other items that would otherwise have to be carried in the person's arms.

Abstract: An archery bow carrying apparatus includes a harness configured to be worn by an archer, the harness having a connection member. A loop member fixedly attaches to the bowstring of the bow at a location offset from the nock point. The connection member is configured to be removably engaged with the loop member. During the carrying of the archery bow, the loop member and the connection member bear at least a portion of the weight of the archery bow.

Abstract: The support for cooling a container is a portable holder for a container of chewing tobacco that can be releasably attached to a vehicle air conditioner vent. The support includes a substantially circular front wall having at least one front rib formed on an inner face thereof. A semi-cylindrical sidewall extends peripherally from the inner face of the front wall, and at least one side rib is formed on an inner face thereof. A rear strap or wall extends across the sidewall, forming a pocket for holding the container. The rear wall is adapted for releasable attachment to the vent. In use, the at least one front rib and the at least one side rib space the container apart from the respective inner faces of the front wall and the sidewall to permit cool air to circulate around the container.

The dispensing container also includes a cap shaped and dimensioned for selectively covering the open end of the dispensing body. The cap includes a first end shaped and dimensioned for frictionally engaging the open end of the dispensing body for secure and selective attachment thereto and a closed second end including a clasp extending therefrom. The clasp includes a first arm and a second arm.

Abstract: A holder for a flashlight with a sheath that is variably positionable during use. A variably positionable sheath formed with a cavity and having an axial post. At least one u-shaped flexible removable grasping member is formed in the cavity. The u-shaped member has bent arms that apply pressure to the flashlight bell when it is inserted into the cavity. A disk with a plurality of pegs is rotatably mounted on the sheath, with o-rings that wrap both around pegs on the disk and around the pegs on the sheath or disk base, allowing the sheath to be rotated by the user and causing it to return automatically to its original position. A clip is engaged for securing the sheath to the user. A method for manufacturing a holder for a flashlight with a sheath that is variably positionable during use.

Abstract: A coupling member for removably attaching an accessory to a carrier, wherein the coupling member includes an elongate portion of material having a first end portion, an intermediate portion, and a second end portion. At least one hook is formed from a portion of the first end portion, wherein the hook formed from the first end portion allows the first end portion of the coupling member to be removably secured to an accessory webbing or a carrier webbing when the coupling member has been interwoven between aligned carrier tunnel segments and accessory tunnel segments of an accessory and carrier. The coupling member may optionally include a hook formed from a portion of the second end portion.

Abstract: A carrying aid that transfers weight from a load supported by shoulder straps, such as a backpack or portable tree stand, to the user's hip area is disclosed. The carrying aid includes a weight supporting region and a fastener region. The weight supporting region forms a trough around a portion of the load that reduces the risk of the load from being dislodged from the weight supporting region. A fastener attaches the carrying aid to the user's belt. The carrying aid can be molded, shaped, or formed from a single piece of material such as a metal, plastic, or polycarbonate. The carrying aid is easy to attach and remove from the user's belt and the load is easily inserted and removed from the trough formed by the weight supporting region. The carrying aid is lightweight and easily stored when not in use. This carrying aid is particularly useful for deer hunters or nature enthusiasts carrying shoulder strap-supported portable tree stands.

Abstract: A rifle holder device for supporting a rifle in a position that is easy to grab for taking a shot is described. The holder device lets a hunter or shooting enthusiast carry a rifle with its weight supported on either his right or left hip. Rifles are rather heavy weapons. Should the hunter or shooting enthusiast carry one in his hands or arms for an extended period of time, his muscles can get fatigued. This makes it more difficult to get off an accurate shot in a timely manner. However, the present holder device puts most of the rifle's weight on the hunter's hip, thereby freeing his hands and arms from having to carry the rifle until it's time to take a shoot. Further, the present holder device is adjustable for carrying rifles of many different sizes.

Abstract: A releasable attachment apparatus has multiple components that allow for easy storage, deployment and detachment of small portable items carried on the apparatus. In one embodiment, the apparatus has a retractable unit having a housing inside of which are a reel, a spring coil biasing rotation of the reel, and a tensile member carried on the reel. The housing has a female opening that fittingly receives a connector so that there is minimal swivel action in the connector and thus minimal strain on the tensile member when the tensile member is fully retracted in drawing the connector to a stored configuration with the retractable unit. The apparatus also includes a fastener that is adapted to carry the small portable items and is removably attached to the connector. The apparatus also includes a locking switch which is movable between a neutral position that allows rotation of the reel and a locking position which locks the reel against rotation.

The retrieving components are secured at opposite ends of the central portion of flexible material and comprise first and second rigid, hook shaped components, each secured at opposite ends of the central portion of flexible material so that the first and second hooked shaped components are disposed in a plane through the central portion of the strip of flexible material. Each of the first and second hook shaped components are curved in opposite directions from the longitudinal axis so that a free end of the first hooked shaped component extends in an opposite direction from a free end of the second hooked shaped component.

Abstract: A retractable belt clip is disposed on an electronic hand-held tool, such as a stud finder, a laser level, or an electronic tape measure, and is moveable from a stowed position, in which the belt clip is disposed within or flush to a housing of the tool, to a deployed position, in which the belt clip may be attached to a belt or other member for carrying and storage.

Abstract: A stand-up surfboard carrier includes two upward facing hook members sized and shaped to fit around a surfboard side edge. The hook members have inner, terminating portions, lower curved portions, and outer extended shaft portions. The shaft portions of the hook members are angled away from a centerline located between them at a first predetermined angle and are joined to a horizontal handle member at an end of each shaft portion. A shoulder strap is looped about the handle member and is sized and shaped to allow the surfboard to rest in the first and second hook members and below an armpit of a user. The handle member is offset outwardly from the shaft portions by a distance sufficient to provide a space for fingers of the user between the handle member and the surfboard. The carrier can be formed in two joining portions which disassemble for transport and storage.

Abstract: A carrying device is disclosed. An illustrative embodiment of the carrying device includes a main strap unit having a first loop strap segment and a first shoulder strap segment extending from the first loop strap segment. An attachment strap unit having a second loop strap segment and a second shoulder strap segment extending from the second loop strap segment is detachably carried by the first shoulder strap segment of the main strap unit. An apparatus and a method of carrying a snowboard are also disclosed.

Abstract: An article carrying device is provided for balancing upon a single shoulder of a person. The device includes front and back extended end members having a plurality of clips provided along middle and distal portions of the ends members. The clips secure packages to the article carrying device such that when packages of equal weights are attached to both ends of the carrying device, the device balances upon the shoulder of the person and does not require human hand intervention to maintain its position. The article carrying device is interchangeable and can be employed on either shoulder of the person. A hinge mechanism can be provided at an apex of the device for permitting the collapse of said device for transport or storage when not is use.

Abstract: A musical instrument strap 100 has a neck band 101 worn on the back side of the neck of a musical instrument player, and also has a musical instrument connector 10 that is connected to both ends of the neck band 101 extending forward respectively from the left and right sides of the neck and connects the neck band 101 to a musical instrument. The musical instrument connector 10 has a flat plate 1 that prevents a right portion of the neck band 101 that extends forward from the right side of the neck, and a left portion of the neck band 101 that extends forward from the left side of the neck, from approaching each other, thereby maintaining the distance between the right portion and the left portion; and a hook 5 capable of engaging with the musical instrument. The flat plate I has a hole where the right end of the neck band 101 is connected and a hole where the left end of the neck band 101 is connected, and the left and right holes are spaced from each other by a predetermined distance.

Abstract: A plastic clip attaches to a gun sling, and assists in the carrying of a gun over the shoulder. The gun sling is an ordinary strap that attaches to the gun and loops over the shoulder. The clip attaches to the strap, and hooks into the waist belt. The clip allows the waist belt to support much of the weight of the gun, and keeps the gun from flopping around. The gun is further stabilized by a bungee cord that connects the clip to a belt loop.

The support apparatus further includes an audible signaling device attached to the shock cord and a mechanism for adjustably attaching the apparatus about a user neck during operating conditions.
