Abstract: A system for carrying containers suspended from a track member which may be attached to a body encircling belt or attached to clothing which includes a pair of protruding tracks substantially parallel and from which the containers for holding articles are suspended by clips on the containers which are positionable lengthwise on the tracks and may slide thereon and enter and exit the track at tapered ends of the tracks and is particularly useful for police and military personnel in carrying weapons, ammunition and the like holstered articles.

Abstract: A portable data collection terminal including an arm mounting assembly is disclosed. The terminal includes a terminal housing having a docking base protruding from its bottom surface. The docking base is configured to snugly fit in a recess defined by a thin docking member. The docking member is secured to a sleeve overlying an operator's forearm by a flexible strap. The strength of attachment between the terminal housing and the docking member is small enough to permit the terminal housing to release from the docking member if a sufficient force is applied to the terminal housing.

Abstract: A semi-rigid, elastically resilient clip is releasably fastenable to the side of a handgun to provide support for the handgun upon a user's clothing or on a mounting bracket on a support structure. The clip may be attached by bolting to a handgun or, in the case of automatic weapons having a barrel slide movable relative to a gun body, it may be attached by engagement of a clip bracket between the gun body and barrel slide portions.

Abstract: A quick-releasing pivoting support for a line trimmer, which includes the use of a detachable interconnection such as a ball-and-socket to at least partially support the weight of a line trimmer while still allowing pivoting of the trimmer. In the case of an emergency, the trimmer may be simply lifted upwardly while still keeping both hands on the trimmer and quickly discarded by the operator.

Abstract: A fixing apparatus for a portable telephone includes an engaging device connected to the portable telephone, a socket for detachably receiving the engaging device, and a cramp connected to the socket for fixing itself and the socket on an objective body such as a belt. The engaging device is allowed to slide in the socket and may be manually made to turn substantially ninety-degrees in the socket thereby being located in place in the socket. When the engaging device is located in place in the socket, it may be manually made to turn ninety-degrees in the socket and may be manually pulled to slide out from the socket.

Abstract: An improved multi-purpose holster apparatus suitable for holding a variety of objects including flashlights, mobile telephones, tools, etc., wherein the apparatus comprises a rigid or semi-rigid frame defining a channel for receiving a belt, a female adapter protruding from the frame, an object support adapter which supports the object to be mounted to the frame and a male adapter extending from the object support adapter which mates with the female adapter for mounting the object and the object support adapter to the frame.

Abstract: A belt clip for securing a device such as a personal communications device, e.g. a paper or radio, to one's belt or clothing includes a tool having tool elements such as a screw driver, knife, bottle cap opener, file, letter opener, cork screw, scissors, etc. The tool itself may include means for securing it directly to the body of the personal communication device. The belt clip may also include a sheath to cover the tool. Alternatively, the sheath may include the means for securing the belt clip to the body of the personal communications device.

Abstract: A mounting clip is provided for removable mounting of a medication infusion pump of the type used to deliver a selected medication such as insulin to a patient. In the preferred form, the mounting clip comprises a belt clip with a pair of pivotally interconnected and spring-loaded legs adapted for mounting onto a belt or other item of clothing worn by a patient. One leg of the belt clip includes a dovetail key for slide-fit reception into a mating dovetail slot formed in the housing of a medication infusion pump. A detent button is carried on the belt clip at the distal end of a spring arm for snap-fit reception into a detent seat formed in the pump housing, to lock the pump onto the belt clip. The spring arm is manually accessible to permit fingertip retraction of the detent button from the seat, and thereby permit easy sliding removal of the pump housing from the belt clip.

Abstract: An assembly for operatively supporting a camera from an individual's body which includes a storage case having an adjustable body encircling belt and a tripod stand having a vertically adjustable camera engaging unit mounted thereto. The tripod stand includes locking elements at the base of each of its legs which are selectively engageable with cooperative locking elements mounted to the surface of the storage case whereby when the locking elements of the legs of the tripod stand and the storage case are engaged, the assembly is supported from the individuals body leaving the individual free to use their hands without having to support the camera.

Abstract: A multi-purpose fixing seat for belts including a body portion formed with a recess having a raised rack at both sides thereof, a plurality of protuberances between two portions of the raised rack, and a circular raised edge enclosing the protuberances, a resilient member fitted between the protuberances and the circular raised edge, a cover fixedly mounted on the body portion and pivotally connected with a clamping member, the clamping member provided on the top with a movable button which is connected with a rod member at the bottom of the clamping member, the cover having a lug adapted to receive the rod member, and a fixing plate having a toothed member formed with teeth at two opposite sides and a flat surface at the other two opposite sides, the toothed member being engaged with the resilient member, whereby the fixing seat can be conveniently used to carry the mobile telephone, camera, or the like.

Abstract: Multi-purpose holster apparatus is provided which is suitable for holding a variety of objects including portable tools, mobile telephones, flashlights, cameras, etc. The holster employs a rigid or semi-rigid frame which has a section which mates with a corresponding section on the object to be holstered. The frame is attachable to a belt or a waistband to allow a rapid drawing of the object that is holstered.

Abstract: A structure of the casing of a radio pager or similar miniature portable apparatus and a clip attachable to the casing. The casing has an elongate groove on the top and a cavity having a generally L-shaped section in a lower end portion of the back. A base plate is complementary in configuration to the back of the casing to be engageable with the latter. The base plate has an engaging portion at the upper end and a bent portion to be received in the cavity at the lower end. After the engaging portion has been engaged with the groove of the casing, the base plate is brought into abutment against the back of the casing. Then, the lower end portion of the base plate is fastened to the casing by a screw.

Abstract: A harness connector for securing a first tank to a second tank, for example for fastening an auxiliary air tank to a main air tank in scuba diving applications. The connector comprises a receiving member adapted to be secured to the first tank by a pair of tank clamps, and an attachment member adapted to be secured to the second tank by another pair of tank clamps. The receiving member and attachment member are formed so as to mate with one another, such as an attachment member with a T-shaped cross section mating with a receiving member with a U-shaped cross section. The harness connector further comprises locking means for selectively locking and unlocking the attachment member to and from the receiving member, such as a quick release type connector pin.

Abstract: A camera holder includes a support member which is removably mounted on a belt worn about a consumer's waist, and an attachment block removably connected to a support arm projecting from the support member. The attachment block has a rotatable threaded bolt projecting therefrom which may be threaded in a threaded aperture on the base of a camera to connect the camera to the attachment block. A pocket formed in the support arm removably and slidably receives the attachment block, and has a V-shaped slot formed in the forward wall. A generally V-shaped bearing projecting forwardly from the attachment block corresponds with the V-shaped slot in a wedging action to positively engage the attachment block within the pocket. An adjustable retention strap extends from the base of the support member around a camera mounted on the camera holder and is removably connected to the end of the support arm to securely retain a camera on the camera holder.

Abstract: A tool holder has a self-stabilizing swivel mount for selectively accommodating an air driven hand-held power tool. An article receptacle is rotatably displaceable upon weight transference from the tool and is adapted to assume an equilibrium rest position. A gravity actuated locking lug coacts with the receptacle for securing the tool within the receptacle. The locking lug is self releasing when the receptacle is re-oriented to a substantially vertical position for removal of the power tool.

Abstract: A frame structure for carrying a drum or other object in front of a person has a front support member engaging two substantially parallel side support members extending generally horizontally along the waist of a person, and is supported by the hips of a person. A back member, attached to the side support members, engages the back thoracic region of a wearer and provides a counteracting force to keep a drum or other carried article in a desired position. The back member includes a pair of telescoping lengthwise adjustable back support members terminating in a hinge point at a back plate. The back plate is provided with arcuate slots through which attaching bolts engage a flanged member of each of the back support members. This arrangement allows the angle between the two back support members to be adjusted in order to adjust the distance between the side members along the back of the person.

Abstract: A camera carrying device having a support plate with a slot in the plate with the slot having a closed end and an open end joined by an intermediate section, with the intermediate section of lesser width than the closed end, an angle plate having first and second arms, with one of the arms disposed at an angle to the other, a first camera engaging stud carried in the first arm, and a second slot engaging stud carried in the second arm, with the second stud having an end section and an intermediate section, with the second stud end section larger than the slot, with the second stud intermediate section slideable along the slot intermediate section, and with the second stud intermediate section non-circular in cross-section.

Abstract: An apparatus for releasably mounting an auxiliary compressed air tank to a breathing apparatus of the type having a main compressed air tank is provided. The apparatus includes a bracket having a pair of mounting legs connected in relatively closely spaced facing relation to one another defining a strap receiving area and means for clamping one of the mounting legs rigidly with the other mounting leg spaced outwardly therefrom. One of the mounting legs is selectively insertable and removable from a disposition between the main compressed air tank and a securing strap of a harness which supports the main compressed air tank on a user. The harness strap is received in the strap receiving area and the strap is tightened to hold the auxiliary tank relative to the main tank. To release the auxiliary tank, the strap is loosened and the mounting leg is moved to clear the strap.

Abstract: A storage container with a fastener assembly for detachably fixing the container to a vehicle seat. The fastener assembly is integral with, or is attachable to--by means--a frame member of the seat. The container has a back plate which, in use, lies adjacent to the front of the seat, with the container resting on the car floor. The fastener assembly includes spring biased clips which are engageable within wedge shaped grooves formed in the back plate of the container, whereby the container is detachably held in position against the front of the seat on the car floor.

Abstract: A connector for a string instrument and a harness having a fixing member fixed to the body of the string instrument and an engaging member fastened to an end of the harness which can be removably connected to the fixing member.The engaging member is provided with an engaging chamber and the fixing member is provided with a protrusion which can be fitted into the engaging chamber.The engaging member is provided with at least two engaging pieces which are always energized by a resetting spring to engage with the protrusion of the engaging member which stays inside the engaging chamber and a manually-operated knob for disengaging the engaging pieces from the protrusion as required.The manually-operated knob is adapted to retract the engaging pieces against the resetting spring by manually rotating the knob in the circumferential direction.

Abstract: A multi-compartment receptacle for packaging and storing a plurality of pairs of protective gloves to be carried by a single person whereby each pair of gloves may be distributed to one of several persons on a rescue team, hospital crew, or like persons, the receptacle comprising a web of foldable flexible material which in extended condition includes a closure flap, a series of hinge areas, a series of compartments, first and second securing members, and a carrying member.

Abstract: A portable ticket issuing system comprises a portable electric ticket issuing machine including a keyboard and electric power means for supplying power to the ticket issuing machine, in which the power means comprises a battery unit having a battery casing separate from the ticket issuing machine casing, and including a flexible cable means for electrically connecting the battery and ticket issuing machine, and including a belt support means for mounting the battery and its casing on an operator away from his front and without the operator holding it manually and further support means for mounting the ticket issuing machine on the operator away from his front in a non-operating position where it is located at the operator's side resting on his thigh and so that it allows the ticket issuing machine to be readily moved to an operating position in front of the operator without moving the battery unit and preferably without detaching it from the belt.

Abstract: A plate for holding a handgun of the type having a retention stud and clip, said plate comprising a keyhole slot for receiving the stud and a clip opening for receiving the clip. A groove on the front face of the plate guides the clip into the clip opening simultaneously with the reception of the stud by the keyhole slot, upon lateral movement of the handgun relative to the plate. The clip, and hence the handgun, is held firmly against the plate by a cantilever spring mounted on the back face of the plate. A shoulder, defined by the clip opening and groove, causes the clip to snap in place to prevent accidental removal of the handgun from the plate. The plate may be either free standing, hung like a picture frame, or may include a buckle and latch pin for mounting upon a belt to define a handgun holding belt buckle.

Abstract: An attachment device for enabling an article to releasably be secured on a person has a stud, a plate member and co-operating portions on the stud and the plate member. The stud includes a part circular flange with a flat portion along its periphery. The plate member includes a lead-in channel extending from an edge of the plate member towards an opposite edge of the plate member, a part-circular reception portion extending from the channel, and a tongued portion extending from the reception portion in the direction of the reception portion but spaced apart from the reception portion. The stud and the plate member are engageable and dis-engageable by a sliding action. The co-operating portions allow the stud and plate member to rotate and to be held together until they are subjected to a dis-engaging sliding action exceeding a predetermine value.

Abstract: A support mounting for support of a percussion instrument such as a drum or the like with respect to a carrier frame wherein the mounting structure includes inner and outer clamp elements which are engageable with a side wall portion of the instrument and an elongated, selectively releasable fastener secures the clamp elements with respect to the carrier frame. A rotary constraint precludes rotation of the instrument with respect to the support mounting and either the elongated fastener or the rotary constraint is effective to maintain the inner and outer clamp elements in clamping engagement with an instrument side wall portion therebetween.

Abstract: A guitar support strap attached in swiveling relation about a rotation axis held firmly and in perpendicular relation to the guitar body wall, despite the relative thinness and weak construction material of the wall. In a preferred form, a wood screw threadably engaged to the guitar body wall serves as the rotation axis and is held against movement as might tend to allow the screw to work loose or inadvertently disengage from the wall by a steadying force applied in encircling relation about the wood screw.

Abstract: A coupling for connecting one end of a strap to a musical instrument or other body consists of a post fixed to the instrument and a catch fixed to the strap and cooperable with the post. The post has an enlarged head which is movable laterally into and out of a cavity in the catch. When the post head is received in the catch cavity a spring biased plunger of the catch enters a central opening of the post to prevent the catch and post from moving laterally out of assembly, while nevertheless permitting the catch and the associated strap to pivot or swivel relative to the post. The plunger is movable by hand out of the path of the post head during connection and disconnection of the post and catch relative to one another. Further, the two coupling parts can be quickly and easily connected and disconnected relative to one another with one hand of the user and without requiring extremely precise movements.

Abstract: A guitar strap connector comprises a body member having a slot for connection of a guitar strap thereto; a generally keyhole-shaped opening in the body member, the keyhole-shaped opening comprising first and second holes having a passageway therebetween, the first hole being larger than the second hole; and a pair of resilient spring-like members integral with the body member and adjacent at least the passageway on respective opposite sides of the passageway, the spring-like members being bowed toward each other and each having a respective void space therebehind to permit the spring-like members to flex away from each other into the void spaces to permit a button connector of a guitar to be passed from the larger hole resiliently through the passageway and into the smaller hole wherein the button connector is engaged. Preferably, the body member is integrally formed of resilient plastic material such as polypropylene.

Abstract: Apparatus for mounting and locking a hand gun on a vehicle. The apparatus includes a mounting bracket which is fastenable to the vehicle, and a holster bracket having an attached hand gun holster. A pair of laterally spaced channels on opposed sides of the mounting bracket slidably receive laterally spaced flanges formed on associated sides of the holster bracket, for detachably mounting the holster bracket on the mounting bracket. With the holster bracket so mounted, a projection carried thereon is received within a slot formed in the mounting bracket. A cable lock threaded through the projection, with such received in the slot, and through the finger guard of a gun carried in the holster, prevents removal of the gun from the vehicle.

Abstract: A stringed musical instrument having a body and a neck extending outwardly therefrom and a support frame having at least one lateral or side arm secured to the body of the instrument with the arm being selectively adjustable and extensible such that when a shoulder strap is attached between the instrument and the selectively adjustable arm, the support of the strap may be selectively varied about the neck of the player and the balance of the instrument may be changed in correspondence with the change in the center of gravity effected by the variation in the extension of the arm.
