Abstract: An electronic storage box device that can be mounted on top of a dashboard of a vehicle, and can be opened quickly by a driver of the vehicle or a person standing outside the vehicle through a window of the vehicle. The electronic storage box device has a compartment for storing at least documents related to the vehicle including a driving license. Such documents can be retrieved by the driver while the hands remain visible to an officer or can be retrieved by the officer himself. The electronic storage box device also includes an audio playback feature, a video camera-based intrusion prevention feature, GPS, Wireless capabilities and a UV radiation feature for sterilizing items in the compartment. The device supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth® capabilities. The device can be retrofitted or installed at the time of manufacturing.

Abstract: The present invention is a secure document compartment that can hold important vehicle documents, and is conveniently placed proximate to a user, so that the user may retrieve the documents in a fast and secure fashion. According to the present invention, the user may actuate opening of the secure document compartment manually with the help of an access panel or by voice activation. Further, the present invention may be visible and attached to an upper dashboard of the vehicle, right behind the steering wheel for easy retrieval of documents, or, may be installed inside, as an invisible compartment inside the dashboard. Furthermore, the present invention may comprise a camera, a microphone, and necessary circuitry that enables the secure document compartment to have multiple smart functionalities, such as audio/video recording and play back, remote wireless operations etc.

Abstract: A vehicle safety and mobility alert system is contemplated. The system may be configured to facilitate wirelessly exchanging basic safety messages (BSMs) and the like with a connected vehicle network operable to communicate with vehicles, signage and other devices connected thereto. An onboard unit (OBU) of the vehicle may be configured to process the BSMs and correspondingly generate safety notifications for one or more occupants of the vehicle. An advanced driver assisted system (ADAS) may be configured to communicate information associated with the safety notifications through sensory alerts generated with one or more indicators positioned relative to a mirror or an A-frame of the vehicle.

Abstract: A system including a first hybrid power and fiber optic cable including a first plurality of power lines and a first plurality of pairs of fiber optic cable routed from a control center in a first location to a hybrid power and fiber optic distribution panel within a second location, wherein the first plurality of power lines are secured to a main lug connection within the hybrid power and fiber optic distribution panel, wherein the first plurality of pairs of fiber optic cable are secured to a fiber patch panel within the hybrid power and fiber optic distribution panel, and a second and third hybrid power and fiber optic cable including a plurality of power lines and a plurality of pairs of fiber optic cable are routed from the hybrid power and fiber optic cable distribution panel to a first and second junction boxes located within the second location.

Abstract: A grip pad holds items, such as a mobile device or cell phone, to a support surface, such as a dashboard of a vehicle. The grip pad has a tacky bottom surface to releasably cling to the dashboard, and a tacky top surface to releasably cling to the cell phone. In addition, the grip pad can conform to a contour of the dashboard. The grip pad can have a bottom layer that is flexible to bend to an arcuate shape to match the dashboard.

Abstract: A pack for carrying personal effects and protecting such effects from damage caused by contact with moisture is provided. First, a flexible and rugged water-resistant outer container having a resealable opening defines a cavity sized to receive a waterproof pouch along with various other items. Next, the waterproof pouch may have an opening to receive various items. A first means and a second means for sealing the waterproof pouch are successively spaced away from the opening of the pouch. Then, once sealed, a portion of the pouch may be successively folded over the first and second means for sealing the pouch to further reduce any risk that moisture enters the pouch through the sealed opening. Finally, means may be provided for securing the folded portion of the pouch in place to provide nested and redundantly sealed compartments.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting cellular telephones and similar portable devices to vehicle mounts is provided in which the portable devices may be manipulated to different angular orientations relative to the vehicle without altering the connection of the vehicle mount thereto, and wherein the support is easily laterally adjustable to accommodate portable devices of different size.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to technology for positioning a display for interaction and/or virtualization of tangible interface objects. According to an example embodiment, a display positioning system includes a display stand including a positioning portion having a recess, supports connected to the positioning portion, and an insert. The supports are configured to cooperatively support the positioning portion when situated on a support surface. The insert may include an elongated body configured to slidably insert into the recess, the recess may be configured to receive and removably retain the insert, the insert and recess being correspondingly shaped. The elongated body may include an upwardly facing surface having a concavity shaped to receive and removably retain at least an edge portion of a computing device display when the insert is inserted into the recess of the display stand and equipped with the computing device display.

Abstract: An identifier for a conduit includes a substrate having a pair of apertures. The substrate further contains a frangible portion encompassing one of the apertures and having a shape that corresponds to an opening left in the substrate after removal of the frangible portion. The identifier enables the shape of the frangible portion to be correlated with the shape of the opening left in the substrate after the frangible portion is separated from the substrate.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for the safe, secure and reliable display of a municipal meter parking ticket, or similar item, from the interior of an automobile or motor vehicle. The device includes a base with a rotating lid. The rotating lid locks or engages over the municipal meter parking ticket which is on the base. Additionally, a chamber may be formed with a slot through which the municipal meter parking ticket is inserted.

Abstract: A frictional pad has a pair of inclined slots in a pair of sidewalls to hold a handheld electronic device at an incline with respect to the pad. The pad can also have a squat dome.

Abstract: A seat divider for an automobile configured to create a barrier between children seated in the back seat of an automobile also allows visual contact and communications between them through a two-way viewing window and a top divider panel that can be raised and lowered when needed. The seat divider holds recessed desk top tables that can be extended and supported through their legs or by the armrests on the back seat for use by the children to read, write, watch DVD's, or play with toys. The seat divider also has storage space and trays to hold toys, books and other material as well as pen and pencil holders. The seat divider has specially configured seat belt and shoulder strap hooks that allow the middle seat belt and shoulder strap to be inserted through them to firmly secure the seat divider to the back seat of the vehicle.

Abstract: A flexible plastic strip to cover a handle such as, for example, that common to a conventional shopping cart to prevent a shopper's hands from coming into direct contact with the handle. According to a preferred embodiment, a pair of strip holders are detachably connected in surrounding engagement to the handle. The strip holders are spaced from one another and slidable along the handle. Each of the pair of strip holders has a hook projecting therefrom. The ends of the flexible strip are attached to the pair of strip holders at respective ones of the hooks thereof. The flexible strip can be removed from the strip holders and discarded in order to avoid the spread of germs, viruses and other disease-causing micro-organisms which lie on the handle.

Abstract: A tissue box holder mountable on the console box of a vehicle, comprised of a frame and an elastic band, is capable of holding a standard square tissue box securely on the top of a vehicle console box with the use of an elastic band. The console box will open and close freely. People in both front and back seats can easily access the tissue box. To replace the empty tissue box, one can simply slide out the used tissue box and slide in a new standard tissue box into the frame. No refill is required.

Abstract: A tissue holder and dispenser includes a cuboid shaped housing having a front panel, two planer side panels and a planer rear panel as well as a planer bottom panel and an open top. The front planer panel includes a horizontal slot through which individual tissues are dispensed while one side wall includes a rectangular opening through which an empty tissue box can be ejected by pushing it out of the housing with a finger inserted through a circular opening on the opposite side wall that is aligned with the rectangular opening in the first side wall. The housing is constructed and dimensioned to hold from one to four tissue boxes with the top of each box facing a front surface of the rectangular front planer panel so that a slit in the top of the tissue box on the bottom of the housing will come into register with a slot in the lower portion of the rectangular front planer panel.

Abstract: A scoreboard structure for golf carts includes a base disposed at the middle of a handlebar of a golf cart and having a chamber; and a scoreboard pivotally mounted onto the base and having a latch member and an elastic clamp disposed on an external side of the scoreboard. A writing board is installed on an internal side of the scoreboard. An upper end of the writing board is coupled to the scoreboard, and a lower end of the writing board has a latch member and an elastic plate. The latch member is provided for latching a magnet disposed on the internal side of the scoreboard, and the elastic plate is provided for pressing a piece of paper and writing a score on the paper.

Abstract: A system and method for populating a map database for a vehicle navigation system with the location and type of wireless access points that can be used to update or service wireless systems on the vehicle. The map database can be initially populated with the known wireless access points at the time of manufacture of the vehicle, and then the vehicle communications system can detect new wireless access points as the vehicle travels, which can be stored on the map database. By storing the location and type of the access points in the map database, the vehicle will know the direction of the access point relative to the vehicle, and can compensate for the Doppler shift as a result of the relative movement of the vehicle to the access point.

Abstract: The invention is an automobile license plate mounting apparatus adapted to be coupled to or incorporated into a vehicle visor. A substantially rectangular, planar member is provided with securing means extending upwardly from the bottom and side edges of the front surface of said planar member. The securing member includes a contiguous flange extending from the edges of said planar member and a clamping panel disposed perpendicular to said contiguous flange and parallel to the front surface of said planar member to maintain the license plate adjacent the front surface of the planar panel. First and second securing members are affixed to the rear surface of the rectangular panel to secure the license plate holder to a vehicle visor. The securing members are obliquely positioned with respect to each other to horizontally position the license plate holder.

Further including a method of monitoring coupon redemptions to correspond to an entity that is paid a fee for each coupon redeemed originating from said shopping cart mounted coupon dispensing system.

The toll calculator itself then rests with a relatively small area on the dashboard of the motor vehicle with the intermediate connection of a preferably elastomer supporting element which is preferably coated with adhesive on two sides.

Abstract: An ETC tag holder for motorcycles is provided. A securing case comprises a back panel with a bottom surface extending outwardly at a substantially right angle. A receptacle wall extending upwardly from the outer edges of the bottom surface, and along its length, connect with the back panel to form a hollow receptacle for removably receiving an ETC tag. The case is mounted onto a motorcycle by an engaging portion that securedly engages the back panel and a clamping portion for clamping onto a cylindrical part of a motorcycle.

The foldable map stand apparatus can be folded into a more collapsed form so that it may be stored in a more convenient location within the automobile when the map holder is not in use.

Abstract: The pocket system provides easy attachment to a variety of support surfaces, such as crutches, walkers, backpacks, etc. The system has at least one pocket having an open end to receive articles. At least one pocket securing member is attached to the back of the pocket proximate the open end to affix the pocket to a horizontal portion of the support surface. A stabilizing strap, or straps, is affixed to the back of the pocket proximate the closed end, adding stability by affixing the pocket to a vertical portion of the support surface. Preferably the stabilizing straps extend from opposite sides of the pocket for maximum security. One end of the securing members(s) and strap(s) can be permanently secured to the pocket, with the other end removably affixed through various means known in the art. Alternatively all of the methods of attachment of the pocket securing member(s) and stabilizing strap(s) can be removable.

The inner pouch liner forms a watertight compartment when closed for keeping the personal objects dry.
