Abstract: A modular storage system for a vehicle is disclosed. The modular storage system includes an adjustable frame having a plurality of first posts, a plurality of second posts, a first beam connecting one of the plurality of first posts to another of the plurality of first posts, and a second beam connecting one of the plurality of second posts to another of the plurality of second posts. The first posts and second posts are each secured to a curved member. The modular storage system is attached to a rail on an interior of a vehicle. Various off-the-shelf storage components can be used with the system.

Abstract: An auxiliary rack for an ATV is disclosed which comprises a pair of longitudinal bar members, a pair of cross members connected to the longitudinal bar members, a bottom panel member, a first foldable side hingedly connected to the bottom panel member, a second foldable side hingedly connected to the bottom panel member, a first detachable end panel, a second detachable end panel, and a pair of clamp members connected to the pair of longitudinal bar members.

Abstract: Various enhancements to the capabilities of vehicles in general, and particularly light-duty utility Vehicles, which can advantageously enhance the cargo-carrying capabilities of such vehicles. The present invention provides a cargo bed insert, as well as an insert system, for removable attachment to a vehicle's existing cargo box. Improvement to a light-duty utility vehicle, where the improvement is in the form of a cargo box for the vehicle which includes one or more features of the described cargo bed insert and/or system is disclosed. The invention contemplates methods for enhancing the cargo-carrying capability of a light-duty utility vehicle. In particular, methods for enhancing the cargo-carrying capacity of such a vehicle beyond a manufacturers specified cargo weight capacity are provided. Lastly, the invention includes a mounting assembly for a removable attachment to a vehicle's frame.

Abstract: A ski pole holder for attachment to a chairlift is disclosed. A lower body portion includes a slot slightly wider than a ski pole shaft. An upper body portion includes a floor with a slot corresponding to the lower body slot, a peripheral wall with an opening in front, and an attachment to a bar of the chairlift.

Abstract: A gun mounting apparatus for utility terrain vehicles comprising: a first inverted L-shaped tubular member comprising a first attacher, a second inverted L-shaped tubular member comprising a second attacher, an obliquely oriented tubular member having a first tubular member end and a second tubular member end with a gun grip attached to each tubular member end and a first elastic cord and a second elastic cord. The first and the second inverted L-shaped tubular member may be partially inserted into receiving holes in side walls of a bed-box of a utility terrain vehicle and may be additionally secured to the vehicle via the first and second elastic cord which are attached to the first and second attacher. The gun mounting apparatus for utility terrain vehicles is suitable for transporting at least one weapon securely fastened to the gun grips which are attached to the obliquely oriented tubular member.

Abstract: A loading and unloading station, comprising: a frame, on top of which a cassette intended for the carrying and storage of loads can be placed; at least two supporting arms connected to the frame in a pivotable manner so that the supporting arms can pivot around substantially horizontal pivot axes to a substantially horizontal position, in which the supporting arms are placed under the cassette, and to a substantially vertical position, in which the supporting arms extend through the cassette; at least one supporting beam, on top of which the load can be placed and to which said at least two supporting arms are connected in a movable manner; and said supporting arms are fitted both to lift the supporting beam from below the cassette through the cassette above the cassette, and to lower the supporting beam back under the cassette; and said supporting arms are further fitted to keep the supporting beam substantially horizontal.

Abstract: A garment secure transport bar for supporting garment hangers on a garment transport cart. A rotating outer bar with a parallel securing bar rotates about an inner support bar. The inner support bar is fixed between two mounting brackets that attach to the top of a garment transport cart. Hangers can be hung on the bar and the securing bar rotated to secure the hangers in place and prevent them from bouncing off the cart. In an alternate embodiment, the transport bar is adjustable in length, so as to be capable of supporting garments on a variety of different size transport carts.

Abstract: A storage bag system for a wagon includes a collapsible storage bag that is movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The storage bag system also includes a connector for attaching the collapsible storage bag to a sidewall of the wagon. As a result, the invention provides additional hauling and storage capacity for a wagon via a collapsible storage bag that may be moved to a collapsed configuration.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for retaining accessories to a vehicle.

Abstract: A sling leather seat, seven inches wide, and approximately 29-30 inches long, having first and second end pieces and a center segment upon which a turret gunner can be seated, has a first ring between the first end piece and the middle segment, and a second ring between the second end piece and the middle segment. A leather waist belt is connected to the sling seat by a pair of elongated tethers connected between the first and second rings and the waist belt, respectively, including chains, cables and/or straps as the tethers which are of a length to allow the gunner to stand up, off the sling seat, but which will prevent the gunner from being ejected from the gun turret in the event of a vehicle rollover. The first and second end pieces of the sling seat are connected to a pair of rings, respectively, on the interior of the gun turret. The body belt in the preferred embodiment is tethered to the sling seat.

Abstract: The easily accessible, vehicle mounted firearm case of the invention includes an elongate body having a length and width sufficient to accommodate a long gun style firearm. The elongate body has an exterior and an interior which is defined by a pair of parallel side panels separated by a back panel. The case has a fixed elongated front opening, located opposite the back panel which allows insertion and removal of a firearm without requiring unlatching of the front opening. The interior of the case body is lined with a resilient engagement material which holds the firearm in place during transport of the case. The gun case can be mounted on an exterior location on the ATV. The case is mounted in a forwardly slanted position whereby the firearm is partly retained in the case interior by gravity.

Abstract: A system for determining the quantity of a liquid agricultural product available for spraying on a field from a tank in an airplane comprising a payload storage tank for holding the agricultural product, an elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube located vertically in the aircraft payload storage tank, a probe float slidably coupled to move up or down on the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube, and a permanent magnet coupled to the probe float. The position of the magnet is sensed by the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube which generates a signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank, and converter means converts the generated signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank to a quantity of liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank which is displayed to the pilot.

Abstract: A tablet mount assembly for mounting an electronic device (e.g., an Apple® iPad®) in the cockpit of an aircraft, and more specifically on the steering control of the aircraft. The tablet mount includes a receiving piece and a pivot mount assembly that includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is rotatable with respect to the lower portion. The upper portion includes a slot for connecting to the receiving piece, and the lower portion includes a securing mechanism and a positioning flange. The upper portion of the assembly is rotatable with respect to the lower portion, thereby allowing the electronic device to be mounted to be rotated from a portrait to a landscape orientation without removing the same from the mount. An indexing position system may be integrated between the lower and upper portions of the mount assembly and provides predetermined rotation increments for the device.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for receiving a curtain rail for a curtain for partitioning at least two regions in a cabin of a vehicle, with a bottom facing the floor of the cabin, and a top facing the ceiling of the cabin, wherein the bottom is essentially planar and is designed to receive the curtain rail, and wherein the top is designed to cover the space between a curtain held in the curtain rail and the ceiling of the cabin of the vehicle. The arrangement according to the invention is characterised in that the bottom comprises means for the variable-position holding of attachment points to which the curtain rail can be fastened.

Abstract: A receiver rack includes a main framework piece that is attached to a mounting surface of the personal recreational vehicle. The main framework may be flat and may be fashioned generally in the image of a cargo rack. The main framework may have mounting flanges for facilitating its connection to the recreational vehicle. The main framework includes at least one coupler mounted thereon. The coupler enables the main framework to be joined to one or more auxiliary frame pieces that contain at least one coupling member that mates with the coupler of the main framework. The coupler may also be used for joining a variety of seating and cargo units to the main framework.

Abstract: A pivot mount assembly for mounting an electronic device (e.g., an Electronic Flight Bag—EFB) in the cockpit of an aircraft, and more specifically on the steering control (i.e., yoke) of the aircraft. The pivot mount assembly preferably includes an upper portion, an intermediate portion and a lower portion, where the upper portion is rotatable with respect to the intermediate portion, and the intermediate portion is slidable with respect to the lower portion. The upper portion includes a receiving slot for receiving a device to be mounted, and the lower portion includes a securing mechanism and a positioning flange. A receiving mount within the yoke receives the positioning flange to position the pivot mount assembly within the same, and the securing mechanism operates in conjunction with the receiving mount to secure the lower portion to the same, and thereby the entire pivot mount assembly within the receiving mount.

Abstract: A carrier rack for a vehicle is provided that includes a tubular frame member and a plurality of strapping members. The tubular frame member includes at least four corner portions and defines an outer perimeter of the carrier rack and also defines a carrier plane. Each of the strapping members is secured to a respective one of the corner portions, and is spaced apart from the carrier plane and positioned entirely interior of the outer perimeter of the carrier rack. The carrier plane is generally horizontally oriented, and each of the strapping members is below the carrier plane, when the carrier rack is attached to a vehicle and oriented to carry objects.

Abstract: A rack assembly for transportation of pressurized gas bottles in a vehicle has a first rack on one side and a second rack on the other side each supporting five upright bottles in a row, together with a rigid transverse brace structure connecting between an upper part of the first rack and an upper part of the second rack to hold the first and second rack members in braced position at said first and second sides. Each of the racks is formed by an inner and an outer plate member each having five part circular cut outs in the adjacent surfaces surrounded by a resilient strip for clamping the bottles side by side by an over-center latch which tightens the members together.

Abstract: A universal, adaptable hanger mounted cargo carrier for removable mounting over and around a trailer frame without requiring modification of either I-beam or box beam trailer rails. The carrier comprises a generally rectangular box with steel mesh floor and opposed inverted corner J-hook mounts for slidable mounting of the carrier over the trailer frame rail extending deep enough below the bottom of the rail to enable a locking mechanism to at least partially close the opening of the inverted J-hook below the frame. Inverted “U” shaped spacers reduce the size of the J-hook opening, thereby adapting the carrier for flush mounting on a range of different sized rails. A steel mesh floor and holes in the walls of the carrier for insertion of hook ends of bungee cords allow for retention and transport of objects of varying size and shape.

Abstract: A storage compartment for trailers. The storage compartment is mounted on the tongue of the trailer with a bottom tray, cover support members and a flexible cover. The bottom tray includes raised ribs with a circular indentation for securing propane tanks. The tray is mounted to the trailer tongue by the use of C channel members and U bolts. The bottom tray is covered by a flexible cover that is easily removed and seals into a waterproof engagement with the bottom tray.

Abstract: A wheelchair luggage towing device to securely attach a luggage to the back of a wheelchair and pull the luggage along with the wheelchair. The device can be used with wheeled, as well as unwheeled luggage using a wheeled luggage carrier. The device comprises of a single or multiplicity of bars. A single bar is used with wheelchairs which have long vertical bars on their back. Two bars are used with wheelchairs which have a horizontal bar at their upper back. And three bars are used with wheelchairs which have two short vertical bars and no horizontal bar. In this case, a first bar is connected horizontally to the vertical bars of the wheelchair. A second bar is connected vertically to the first bar. And a third bar is connected horizontally to the lower end of the second bar. In all cases, the luggage is secured on the horizontal bar located close to the ground.

Abstract: A cushioned holder device for holding articles includes an attachment base, configured to be attached to a support structure and a holding member configured to receive and hold an article therein. The holding member is coupled to the attachment base and includes two generally upright arms which collectively define a containment area therebetween. A cushion is associated with the holder at a lower portion of the containment area to provide a cushioned interface between the article and the holder. The cushion includes an upper contact surface and an opposing lower contact surface, with an intermediate riser extending therebetween.

Abstract: A device for tying and transporting wood and elongate objects in improved positional relation to available aft or rearward portions of a forklift vehicle having a fuel tank, other structures or free surfacing available in such portions is disclosed. The device in one aspect of the invention is provided with at least one rack support member, and preferably two such rack support members, each for attachment to a vertical portion of a support column of the overhead guard of the vehicle. At least one of such rack support members is provided with a spool mounting bracket and axle subassembly for installment of a movable and rotating dispenser containing flexible and severable, tying or securing material.

Abstract: A method of carrying equipment on one side of an ATV having a front top rack, a rear top rack and a foot rest on the one side comprising the following steps: a) attaching a utility box carrying bracket to an outer side portion of the front top rack, the foot rest, and the rear top rack; and, b) mounting a utility box on each of the box carrying brackets. Then equipment may be conveniently carried in and removed from the mounted box. In a preferred aspect of this invention the utility box is generally rectangular in plan view and further comprises a utility box lid hinged to one long top side portion of the box and latched to the other opposite long side portion of the box so that equipment carried in the box is protected from the elements. A lateral side of the mounted box is dimensioned to generally follow the longitudinal shape of the fenders and running board so that the box generally fills the void above the running board and a central portion of the fenders.

The tool pouch is formed from a back panel (20) made of durable fabric that has a plurality of pockets (30) of varying sizes secured to the back panel (20). The tool pouch has a plurality of metal grommets (120) along the top edge (112) of the panel (20) that permit the fully loaded tool pouch to be mounted in the enclosed trailer by hanging the grommets (120) on preinstalled hooks or nails on the interior wall or door(s) of the trailer. This embodiment, fully loaded with tools and other objects, may be easily carried by two handle straps (110) secured at the top edge (112) of the panel (20).

Abstract: An ATV mounted rack includes a pair of rotatable U-shaped uprights biased toward a first position. Upon manual pivotal movement of a handle interconnected with the uprights through linkages, the handle will cause the U-shaped uprights to rotate toward a second position for receiving or releasing a hunting bow, rifle, shotgun or other equipment. Release of the handle will cause the U-shaped uprights to rotate toward the first position until further rotation is halted by engagement of the arms of the U-shaped uprights with a received hunting bow, rifle, shotgun or other equipment.

Abstract: Mountain Mike's Reproductions ATV Gun Rack/Pop-up Shooting Rest is a rack to be mounted on an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle). This rack will hold a gun or rifle securely for travel and double as a shooting rest when stopped. Its appearance is similar to many ATV gun mounted rack. The difference is its ability to be released on one end and with the use of gas spring pop-up and double as a shooting rest. It will be mounted to pop-up to the left for left handed shooters or turned around to pop-up to the right for right handed shooters. The one side of the rack which comes up is levered to maintain a vertical position and rotates 360 degrees to work as a shooting rest. It can be used from a stationary ATV in the riding position or by off-mounted riders around the ATV. While traveling, the rack is securely held down in the locked position with the use a cam clamp. Abstract: A tow-bar adapter for towing a loaded trailer behind a combat vehicle permits opening of a rear ramp door on the vehicle and supporting the open door on the adapter as the vehicle proceeds forward. Longitudinal legs each have first ends provided with a lateral bore axially aligned with each other. Pins extend through each lateral bore and through bosses mounted on the vehicle, allowing rotational movement of the legs about the pins. Cross members extend between and are connected to the legs and a caster assembly is connected to the cross members to provide vertical support for the tow-bar adapter and any carried load. A towing pintle on a cross member connects to a trailer, and the caster assembly rotates about a vertical axis to allow the tow-bar adapter to slew and follow along behind the vehicle as it turns.

Abstract: A holder for attaching a firearm, such as a Taser™ gun, to a Remote Mobile Investigator (RMI) robot equipped with a firing interface is disclosed. The holder comprises a housing portion defining a cavity portion for receiving the firearm, the housing portion having a first opening aligned with the barrel of the firearm, thereby allowing the firearm to be fired when housed in the holder and attached to the robot. The housing portion also includes a second opening for establishing an operable connection between the firearm and the firing interface of the robot. A plate member is hingedly attached to the housing portion, the plate member having an open position providing access to the cavity portion, and a closed position sealing the cavity portion. First and second locking devices are provided for releaseably securing the plate member in the closed position and for locking the holder on to the robot.

Abstract: An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) with an elongated wheelbase has a rear-mounted receptacle for receiving one of a plurality of interchangeable modular components, such as a passenger seat, a cargo container, a cargo rack, a flatbed or a workbench. The modular component has an electrical connection and a mechanical connector on an underside thereof which has hooks and posts for engaging, respectively, a transverse rod and sockets. A latching mechanism locks the modular component to the rear of the vehicle. Accordingly, the modular component is selectively releasable to easily and quickly interchange one modular component with another.

Abstract: A cargo holding assembly for use with All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) includes a mounting bracket with a receiver coupled to the mounting bracket. The receiver has an inlet and an opposing outlet. The assembly includes a cargo rack having a tongue that is insertable through the inlet of the receiver and extendable out of the outlet of the receiver. A securable pin is removably securable within the receiver to contact the tongue at a point intermediate the inlet and the outlet. The pin applies a load to the tongue such that the tongue is pressed against a portion of each of the inlet and the outlet to create at least three points of contact that apply loads on the tongue to restrict movement of the tongue within the receiver.

Abstract: An article holder for individual attachment of an article to an ATV comprises an attachment base, attachable to a support structure associated with the ATV and a holding member, configured to receive and hold the article therein. The holding member extends from the attachment base and includes at least three containment arms which collectively define a containment area for containing the article. The at least three containment arms are each biased toward to a neutral position such that the arms apply a securing force to the article as the containment arms are displaced by the article from the neutral position.
