Abstract: A novel securing device includes a frame having an anchor, a tether coupled to the anchor, and an attachment device coupled to the frame. The attachment device is configured to facilitate selective attachment to a planar surface. In a particular embodiment, the attachment device is a magnetic attachment device. Optionally, the magnetic attachment device is encased between the frame and a cover that prevents scratching of the planar surface to which the device is secured. In another particular embodiment, the attachment device is a suction cup. The magnetic attachment device and the suction cup may be interchangeable.

Abstract: The invention is a system for positioning and removably securing an intermodal container to an intermodal pallet. The system permits the container's longitudinal centerline to be offset from the longitudinal centerline of the pallet, while still providing sufficient support to the container. The invention is a removable system of adapters for positioning and securing a container to the surface of the pallet, and when the adapters are in place, define longitudinal and lateral boundaries for engagement with an intermodal container. A plurality of strap brace assemblies positioned on one side of the pallet to provide an offset anchor position for a plurality of flexible straps, which secure the container when it is positioned on the pallet.

Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful for stable hanging of objects with relatively wide hanging surfaces. In some embodiments, hangers are described herein with a platform hanging portion that provides a user with a wide hanging surface that can be used to support the relatively wide hanging surfaces. The platform portion can further restrict movement of the object, such as laterally and/or forwardly/rearwardly.

Abstract: A door rack carrier is a compact, adjustable, easily mountable and removable, temporary system that can be added to the passenger side of most passenger motor vehicles. The door rack carrier allows the user to transport long oversized items for short distances. The door rack carrier is designed to hang on the vehicles doors (front and back) and is adjustable and lockable as required to accommodate different door thicknesses. Each Vehicle Side Carrier (VSC) has tie down cords or straps that will support and hold material to the vertical support column, making it secure. The forward carrier is elevated relative to the rear carrier to provide clearance of the transported items from contact with the turning front wheels of the vehicle.

Abstract: A retention system for a pallet can include retention elements that pivot around pivoting assemblies at one or more edges of the pallet. A retention rail can adopt a stowed position against or within the pallet, can lock in an upright position at a side of the pallet, or an open position extending away from the pallet, providing clear access for loading or unloading in the open position. Further retention features can be combined with the retention rails, including integrated retention straps and strap receiving elements.

Abstract: A storage unit includes an anchoring system. The storage unit includes a back wall and transversely spaced apart side walls providing peripheral walls of an interior compartment for storing articles. At least one retaining member is attached to an interior surface of the storage unit and the back wall includes at least one passage therethrough. The anchoring system including at least one anchoring strap member having a proximal end configured to be securely attached to a supporting wall or member adjacent the back wall of the storage unit. The anchoring strap member(s) extend through corresponding passage(s) and each includes a distal end configured for adjustable attachment to a respective retaining member.

Abstract: This invention provides a purse holder that has a base that sits and grips a car console, a pair of base straps that encircle the console to secure the base to the console, and a circular strap attached to the base that surrounds the purse and holds it to the base. The circular strap has a buckle attached at each end to open/close the circular strap for insertion/removal of the purse. An adjustable elastic strap allows the user to loosen/tighten the buckle to accommodate purses of different sizes. The circular strap is attached to the base via side straps that encircle the circular strap, fold over, and adhere to themselves. Plastic boning is sewn onto the side straps to provide stability and enable the side straps to stand upright to encase the purse. In one embodiment, the circular strap and the side straps have a removable fabric covering.

Abstract: In an object holding device, it is possible to prevent loosening of a cord-like body for holding an object without requiring any user's special operation. The object holding device includes a fixing belt (3) wound on a plastic tank (2), a male buckle (9) provided at a fixing belt, a reel (4) having the fixing belt wound around and urged to rotate in a winding direction of the fixing belt and a reel housing (11) connecting with a male buckle. When the male buckle is connected to the reel housing, a rotation of the reel is restricted at least in a counter-winding direction of the fixing belt.

Abstract: Helmet mount apparatus provides a secure helmet holder for mounting a fireman helmet in a fire truck or other emergency vehicle. Three brim brackets, one of which is slidable on a base plate against a spring bias force, clamp the brim of the helmet between the brim brackets. The helmet can be mounted by positioning the brim into the slidable brim bracket and sliding the brim bracket far enough to allow inserting the brim also into the other two brim brackets, and then releasing the helmet to allow the spring bias to clamp the helmet onto the mount apparatus.

Abstract: A smoke ejector hanger is disclosed herein. The hanger includes a flexible pad. Hook and loop fastening means are affixed to the flexible pad for selectively retaining the flexible pad in the form of a tube. A pair of straps is affixed at the midpoints thereof to the flexible pad such that each of the straps has a pair of free ends extending outwardly from the flexible pad. One of a number of releasable fasteners is affixed to each of the free ends. Each of the releasable fasteners has a snap catch.

Abstract: A walker for assisting physically challenged persons to move around. The walker comprises a frame with wheels mounted on it for traveling over a surface. Oxygen tank supports are mounted on the seat and are adapted to receive oxygen bottles therein. A counterbalance is mounted on the frame to counteract the weight of any oxygen bottles received in the tank supports and thereby maintain the stability and balance of the walker.

Abstract: A cradle or hold-down for a vehicle-mounted equipment carrier, such as a bicycle carrier, includes a resilient support member interconnected with a rigid shell, in combination with a flexible retainer strap that is secured to a retainer base associated with the rigid shell. The support member defines a passage within which a support arm of the carrier is received, and the shell includes aligned openings through which the support arm extends. The support member includes engagement structure, such as a trough, which is configured to receive and engage the equipment supported by the carrier, e.g. the frame of a bicycle. The retainer base is formed integrally with the shell, and extends laterally from the shell so as to be offset from the engagement area of the support member. The retainer strap is fixed to the retainer base, such as by an interlocking T-slot arrangement interposed between the retainer base and the retainer strap.

Abstract: A walker for providing a patient having a breathing disorder the ability to carry an oxygen bottle safely upon the walker. The walker has a pair of side frames having front vertical bars that are connected by a pair of cross members. Wheels are attached to the front bars of the frame for propelling the walker. An open top canvas bag containing the oxygen bottle is suspended from the top cross member so that the center of gravity of the bottle lies in a common vertical plane with the wheel axis and is centered between the frames. Stabilizers are provided to prevent the bottle from moving side to side or out of the frame.

Abstract: A device for removably securing an article having an elongate section to a portable frame used for transporting the article on a vehicle. The device includes an elongate structure with a floor and sidewalls extending above the floor to form an open channel with the sidewalls including at least one slot parallel to the longitudinal axis of the floor. Part of the device is a conformable strap, having a first side opposite a second side, an insertable end and an enlarged end separated from the insertable end by a length of flexible material, the conformable strap having a plurality of binding elements on the first side and a plurality of contact elements disposed on the second side of the strap at the insertable end.

Abstract: A golf bag and accessory support apparatus for safely and securely transporting golf bags with golf clubs. The golf bag and accessory support apparatus includes a frame having a plurality of cross members and upright members; and also includes a plurality of arm members being spaced apart and extending outwardly from the frame; and further includes a plurality of padded members securely mounted about portions of the frame and the arm members to protect the golf bags with golf clubs; and also includes strap members securely attached to the frame for supporting and securing the golf bags with golf clubs; and further includes clamping members securely attached to the frame and being fastenable about a structure inside the vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention is referred to a packing frame and a system for packing and handling glass sheets. The structure being formed for at least two supporting sections, each supporting section including at least two structural profiles which are connected in the upper part and are separated in the lower part. In lower part of each profile is attached a support profile, in a horizontal position, which is connected to the lower part of the structural profiles, forming a base for each one of the supporting sections. The horizontal profile having a first supporting section and a second supporting section, both supporting section being of a major extent, on each side of the supporting section in order to support a series of glass sheet packages. Each one of the supporting sections being placed in a relation one in front to the other, which are joined by crossing members forming the assembly of the supporting frame.
