Abstract: An accessory mounting fixture for a vehicle is provided. The accessory mounting fixture includes a fixture body connectable to a vehicle surface and having a substantially U-shape defining a frontal opening and adapted to receive an accessory portion. The accessory mounting fixture also includes a locking assembly adapted to selectively secure the accessory portion within the frontal opening. The locking assembly has a first lock member pivotally connected to the fixture body on a first side of the frontal opening and a second lock member pivotally connected to the fixture body on the second side of the frontal opening. The first and second locking members are operable between a closed position for confining the accessory portion within the frontal opening, and an open configuration. Positioning the first and second lock members in the closed position secures the accessory portion within the frontal opening.

Abstract: The invention relates to a locking system for a carrying case, comprising a main body (1), which has a closure element (6) that can be pivoted into an open position and into a closed position and that has a receptacle (7) for a retaining frame (8), wherein in order to allow the carrying case to be attached to the retaining frame (8) using only one hand, a spring-loaded latch element (16) and a pulling lever (21) connected to the latch element (16) are provided. In the open position of the closure element (6), which is under the influence of a spring (11), the latch element (16) lies against the closure element, and in the closed position of the closure element (6), the latch element is locked with the closure element. The latch element (16) is disengaged from the closure element (6) by operating an unlocking unit (2).

Abstract: A pannier (10) comprises a container portion (11) accommodating items. A connection system (12) is connected to the container portion (11) and releasably secures the container portion (11) to a rod-like member (A). The connection system (12) comprises connectors (22) each having a hook portion (32) to hook onto the rod-like member (A) and a cam portion (34) positioned with respect to the hook portion (32). The cam portion (34) is displaceable between an opened position to allow the hook portion (32) to hook onto the rod-like member (A), and a locking position in which the cam portion (34) is adapted to press against the rod-like member (A) to lock the rod-like member (A) in the hook portion (32). A biasing member (35) biases the cam portion (34) to the locking position.

Abstract: A motorcycle restraint device is provided. The motorcycle restraint device comprises a base assembly, a catch assembly and a catch pin assembly. The base assembly comprises at least one base mounting box, at least one front ramp and at least one rear ramp. The catch assembly is mounted to a top portion of the base assembly comprising at least one catch arm, at least one catch arm keeper, at least one bolt traversing the base assembly, at least one front plate, at least one top plate located perpendicular to a front portion of the top plate, at least base side plates, at least two springs vertically mounted between at least one locking rod and at least one spring backup rod. The catch pin assembly is secured to a frame of a motorcycle.

Abstract: A hooking system for a motorcycle bag is described, comprising a framework, intended to be constrained to a fixed structure of a motorcycle, and a hooking plate, intended to be constrained to the bag. The hooking plate is provided with first fixed hook-shaped hooking means, suitable to hold a first portion of the framework, and second fixed support means, suitable to receive a second portion of the framework opposite to such a first portion. The system comprises moveable hooking means positioned at the second fixed support means and able to be rotatably actuated, by means of a lock mechanism, between a first operative position, to hold the second portion of the framework and keep such a framework hooked to the hooking plate, and a second non-operative position, to release the second portion of the framework and, thus, obtain the disengagement of the bag from the motorcycle.

Abstract: A pannier mounting system includes a pair of hooks that are positioned at generally opposite ends of a handle and secure a pannier to a bicycle. A latch and a stop cooperate with each hook to snuggly enclose a rail in a manner that is generally independent of the cross-sectional size/shape of the rail. The latch is connected to the hook by a pivot and extends outward generally under the hook. The stop is pivotably and slidably connected to the hook and cooperates with the hook to generally fix a position of the latch. Translation of the handle toward the hooks closes and locks the latch about a rail member and translation of the handle away from the hooks unlocks the latch so that the mounting system can be removed from a rail.

Abstract: A case assembly for motorcycles comprises a frame (11) for coupling to the motorcycle and a case (12) including means that allow its removable coupling to the frame. The means which allow the removable coupling include U-shaped elements (17) which move between a non-active position to accommodate therein a complementary element (13) of the frame and an active rotated position to secure therein said element (13) of the frame. Conveniently, between the case and the frame there are other passive coupling means (14, 15) at a distance of the U-shaped elements for positioning the case before the coupling movement of the U-shaped elements.

Abstract: A connection device for connecting a bag to a bicycle carriage rack includes a transverse bar connected to a back board of the bag and two hook units are connected to the transverse bar. Each hook unit includes a flexible plate and a stud extends from the flexible plate. The stud can be engaged with one of positioning holes defined in the transverse bar by pulling the flexible plate to position the hook unit to the transverse bar. The hook units hook to a side of the bicycle carriage rack. A lower part is connected to a lower portion of the back board and has a second groove with which a sliding member is slidably engaged. Each sliding member has an I-shaped member which has one end pivotably engaged therewith and the other end of the I-shaped member is engaged with a support leg of the carriage rack.

Abstract: A cycle bag with adjustable retention device for securement to a rack includes a cycle bag, at least one adjustable attachment device and at least two strap retainers. The cycle bag preferably includes a compartment for storing objects and a cover hinged to the compartment. Each adjustable attachment device includes a base, two hooks and two straps. Each adjustable attachment device is attached to a bottom of the cycle bag. The two hooks are slidable retained by the adjustable attachment device and a single strap is attached to each hook. Strap retainers are located inside the cycle bag. The cycle bag is placed on a rack. The at least two hooks are slipped over rails of the rack. One of the first or second straps is pulled, until the cycle bag is centered on the rack. The first and second straps are then secured in their respective strap retainers.

Abstract: A holder for securing a bicycle wheel to the frame of a bicycle for transport is described. The bracket includes a padded hook member for placement over the top tube of a bicycle frame. The holder also includes two J-clamps for securing it to the seat and down tubes. A cradle is provided for receiving the rim of the bicycle wheel. Additionally to firmly secure the wheel to the holder two clamps are provided that limit the horizontal movement of the wheel and collectively prevent the wheel from moving upwardly or downwardly. The various clamps are adjustable for fitment of the holder to frames and wheels of differing sizes.

Abstract: The present motorcycle luggage is comprised of a storage container attached on a rigid base plate. The base plate is arranged to be snapped on to a conventional motorcycle body in place of the removable rear seat. Latching members arranged on the bottom of the base plate are arranged to mate with the existing latching receptacles on the motorcycle. Different latching members may be provided for mating with the latching receptacles on different motorcycles. The present luggage is thus quickly installable by a rider without modifying the motorcycle. It is secure from theft. It will never come loose or fall off, and it will never become tangled in the rear wheel like many strapped-on storage devices improvised by riders.

Abstract: A carrier accessory which is releasably attachable to the support rack of an off-road or other recreational vehicle includes a frame having a plurality of substantially circular members, each sized to retain a cylindrical article such as a bucket or pail. The frame further includes releasable attachment members which allow the accessory to clamp onto an existing support rack, the circular members being cantilevered from the accessory frame.

Abstract: A surfboard rack, for allowing a surfboard to be carried with a bicycle, having a pair of hooks for engaging the frame of the bicycle near the front and rear, and an adjustable bar extending between the hooks. A pair of cradle assemblies are attached to the adjustable bar near the hooks. A pair of braces extend downward from the cradle assemblies to provide support against the bicycle frame. The adjustable bar may be varied in length to alter the distance between the front and rear hooks. Matched holes extend through the adjustable bar, which allow the distance between the hooks to be fixed and the adjustable bar locked, so that the surfboard rack can also function as a bicycle anti-theft device.

Abstract: A quick-release mount attached to a cycle pack, for example an under seat pack for a bicycle, is disclosed that includes a clip having first and second hangers positionable over first and second support, or frame, members of the bicycle. A resiliently movable catch is positioned adjacent to one leg of one of the hangers, thereby forming an entrapment for a support, or frame, member received thereat, the catch being movable by the support member when mounting the pack and movable by a user to allow release of the support member from the entrapment so that the pack may be removed from the bicycle. After movement, the catch returns to its original position adjacent to the leg of the hanger.
