The lock is designed so that the key which operates it can only be removed when the lock is in the locked position. The lock keeper is spring biased and cam operate so that it will become automaticlly latched with the battery carrier when the battery carrier is put in place in the battery box.

  • Patent number: 6079600
Abstract: An improved basket assembly includes a supporting bracket for mounting on a motorcaddy used by golfers to transport their clubs around a golf course and a basket releasably secured to the bracket. The bracket has a pair of arms extending from its upper end whose ends are provided with axially aligned openings for receiving a threaded fastener for attachment to the motorcaddy. The basket has a handle with portions which serve to secure the basket to the bracket. These portions have a particular angular relationship which accommodates parts of the motorcaddy which tend to project directly above the basket itself.

  • Patent number: 6029874
Abstract: An article carrying device for attachment to handlebars of a bicycle has a generally elongate main center section supported by attachment legs which attach to opposite ends of handlebars to position the main center section generally parallel to and spaced from the major lineal extent of the handlebars. Fastening devices such as clips and hooks are attached to the main center section and adapted to support one or more articles of differing geometry such as a baseball bat and glove, with a baseball bat removably engageable in spring-biased clips generally vertically oriented relative to the main center section, and a baseball glove supported upon a hook or clip depending from the main center section between the clips. The main center section and attachment legs can be made length adjustable to fit handlebars of different sizes and configurations.

  • Patent number: 5845830
Abstract: A bicycle attachable seat assembly includes a seat having a back portion, a bottom portion and a pair of opposite side portions for receiving an object therein. A pair of spaced apart vertical slits are formed in the back portion of the seat. An elongated strap passes through the vertical slits and extends behind a rear side of the back portion of the seat and has opposite first and second ends disposed in front of a front side of the back portion of the seat. The opposite ends of the strap are used to wrap around an object and thereby retain the object in the seat. An object gripping member is disposed through a centrally spaced vertical slot formed in the back portion of the seat and includes a substantially C-shaped member when viewed from a top thereof disposed over the bottom portion of the seat for making gripping contact with the object.

  • Patent number: 5607087
Abstract: A pressurized fluid dispensing device for storing and dispensing pressurized fluid, such as water, to individuals during the performance of their particular activity, particularly activities such as cycling, wind surfing, rock climbing, in line skating, auto racing, jogging, and within handicapped populations where hand dexterity is limited. The pressurized fluid dispensing device may be mounted to such mountables as a bicycle frame, wheel chair frame, car dash, and may even be worn on the body by mounting the device to what is commonly known as a water bottle or fanny pack located on the waist of the individual. The device includes a fluid vessel, support cage (optional), male coupling member, a vessel cap with a female coupling member with a check valve incorporated within, tubing, actuateable valve, and a pressure adapter with a check valve. The fluid vessel is pressurized by slidingly inserting the pressure adapter and charging the system with a common air pressurizing system.
