Abstract: A convertible shoulder bag and backpack includes: (a) a bag body defining front, back, top, bottom, first side, and second side panels; and (b) a strap defining first and second portions thereof extending between first and second pairs of connection points for connecting the first and second portions to the bag body, respectively. An interconnecting portion slidably extends between a pair of diagonally opposing connection points such that slidably increasing the length of the first portion decreases the length of the second portion and vice versa, the strap being configured to enable the convertible shoulder bag and backpack to be converted between a shoulder-bag configuration and a backpack configuration without disconnecting or reconnecting the strap. The strap may include a retractable hip belt and/or securing strap. Additionally, a tote handle may be coupled to the first and/or second portion by a length-multiplying interconnecting portion.

Abstract: Dual-strap carrying assemblies and devices including such assemblies are provided herein. The carrying devices may be embodied in dual carrying strap golf bags that allow the bearer to more easily don and remove the bag. The secondary strap of the dual strap assembly is connected to the primary strap by a movable engagement assembly, such as an assembly that rotates to allow the secondary strap to more easily become within the reach of the bearer of the bag. In some embodiments, the movable engagement assembly may include a movement limiting device that prevents the secondary strap from moving too far out of the bearer's reach. The strap assemblies may be used in combination with a flexible base stand to make a self-standing carrying device that is easy to don and doff.

Abstract: A bag, such as a backpack, having self-adjusting straps comprising a stretchable elastomeric strip and a reinforcing webbing strip. The self adjusting straps are coupled to the back panel only at the bottom of the panel such that the top portion of the straps, which engages a user's shoulders, is free from a fixed attachment to the back panel. Accordingly, the straps of the bag are configured to adjust according to the weight of the cargo placed within the bag, as well as to the size of the user, automatically and without the need for manual loosening or lengthening of a the shoulder strap.

The foam element may include protrusions located opposite the indentations.

Abstract: An infant seat sling apparatus for carrying of an infant seat having an infant seated or resting thereon. The sling apparatus comprises a receptacle sized and configured to receive said infant seat and an over-the shoulder strap whereby said receptacle may be suspended from the shoulder of an adult human being. The apparatus is preferably of compactable or flexible construction so as to be alternately changeable between a) an open (i.e., operative) configuration and b) a collapsed (i.e., stowable) configuration. A storage pouch may be provided for holding the apparatus when in its collapsed configuration. The apparatus is useable in conjunction with various commercially available infant seats and effectively distributes the weight of the infant and seat across the adult's back thereby significantly reducing fatigue and freeing one or both of the adult's arms for other activities.

In one embodiment, the strap assembly includes a first strap which is attached to the golf bag and interfaces with the golf bag at first and second longitudinally displaced locations. Abstract: A single strap-support neck harness for suspending a scanner or other electronic device from a user's neck includes a housing for receiving a scanner to be suspended, a rigid brace arrangement, and an elongated flaccid neck strap. The rigid brace arrangement comprises two rigid V-shaped angular support members, with each support member attaching to opposite sides of the housing and having converging portions projecting upwardly from the housing. Ends of the strap attach to the separate ends of the projecting converging portions of the support members and, when worn about the neck, the strap suspends the brace arrangement and housing oriented with one end of the housing engaging the user's torso to extend the scanner to face the user at an upward incline from the user's torso for easy viewability of the scanner.
