Abstract: A wheeled backpack includes a bottom frame member, a fabric bag portion, a pair of laterally spaced wheels, a pair of side frame members, and a telescoping handle that can move between a retracted position and an extended position where the handle can be grasped by a user to roll the backpack on the wheels. The handle is located so that there is little or no fore and aft offset of the center of mass/gravity of the backpack, which minimizes torquing on the handle and associated pivoting of the backpack in a user's hand when the backpack is lifted by the handle with the handle in the retracted position.

Abstract: Embodiments of bag having a self-adjustable carrying strap system and methods to manufacture such a bag are generally described herein. Other embodiments that may be described and claimed include a golf bag having a self-adjustable carrying strap system.

Abstract: A board sport equipment carrier and method of use as a safety device wherein the equipment carrier can be configured in a carrier/backpack configuration for conveniently carrying the equipment of a board sport, or the carrier can be configured in a stowable configuration for storage between uses, or easy transportation, and finally in a folded wearable configuration where the device can be worn to protect the upper and middle spine, or the lower spine and coccyx of the wearer during board sport participation.

Abstract: Wearable camera lens bags and methods of constructing wearable camera lens bags are provided. Embodiments of the lens bags include neoprene panels that define at least one pocket for receiving a camera lens. The panels are stretchable for receiving the camera lens and snugly holding the camera lens within the pocket. The bag also includes a detachable flap that may be interchanged with flaps having other designs to a allow a user to reflect his or her sense of style. When properly worn, the bag ergonomically wraps around the body of the wearer for distributing the weight around the waist. A neoprene laptop sleeve is also provided that protects the laptop with minimal bulk. The sleeve is easily transformed into a shoulder bag via a shoulder strap that may be attached and then detached to return the bag to function as a sleeve. A removable flap may also be attached to the sleeve to allow a user to reflect his or her mood or style via the design of the flap.

In one illustrative embodiment, a backpack system in accordance with the present invention includes a back portion with shoulder straps. A swing-around portion is formed as a storage compartment that is secured to the back portion in a carrying position. An articulated frame is secured to the back portion and the swing-around portion and allows a user wearing the backpack to pivot the swing around portion around the user's side and access the contents therein. A securing latch is used to secure the articulating frame to retain the swing-around portion in the carrying position. The entire storage compartment of the pack may be a swing-around portion, or the pack may include multiple storage compartments that are either fixed to the back portion or function as swing-around portions.

Abstract: A backpack and a method of forming a backpack with an integral gun scabbard has been devised whereby the user has a convenient place for the storage and carriage of a rifle, shotgun, or other long gun type of firearm, and simultaneously can store and carry a variety of other sundry cargo while moving about. The backpack is devised in such a way as to permit easy and rapid access to and retrieval of said firearm from the storage. It is equipped with dual padded shoulder straps. In an ideal embodiment, a waist belt is included to facilitate the stabilization of the scabbard when the firearm is being withdrawn, as well as to contribute to the load bearing functions of the backpack.

Abstract: Backpacks for carrying one or more items therein and related methods are provided. The backpack can include an outer shell forming a bottom and a top and front, back and side walls with the outer shell defining an interior space. The backpack also can include a divider extendable between the front wall and the back wall of the outer shell to form a shelf between the top and bottom of the outer shell. When the divider is extended between the front wall and the back wall, a first storage compartment is formed between the bottom of the outer shell and the shelf and a second compartment is formed between the shelf and the top of the outer shell. The divider can be detachably secured between the front wall and the back wall so that one or more books are supportable by the shelf formed by the divider.

Abstract: Articles disclosed herein include a bag that provides various improvement mechanisms over existing backpacks. The bag provides a transport mechanism for carrying various items, such as ski boots or snowboard boots, gloves, helmets, hats, goggles, and other snow equipment common to skiing, snowboarding or other outdoor snow sports. The bag can include a pair of side compartments that carry boots in an approximately triangular compartment. Each side compartment includes a boot void compartment positioned above where a boot toe would be, and in front of a boot shin portion, thereby maximizing storage space an increasing organization convenience. Other features include quick-release shoulder straps for quick access to the bag member while still being supported on a shoulder. The bag can include a front compartment and central compartment, with an interior of the front compartment easily viewable.

A gear carrier is provided on the front operation side of the magazine holder for carrying a gear thereon. Quick accessing fasteners facilitate securing magazines in magazine slots. Means for adjusting the depth of the magazine slots are provided.

The invention allows the users to carry everything they need for a fishing expedition in a convenient all-in-one pack that is also easily transportable in a truck or cab of a car.

Abstract: A user-borne athletic pack having an easy to access water/liquid bladder through a rear entry back-flap is presented. A construction of the athletic pack allows for a separate rear compartment containing the bladder to be accessed by unfastening of a back-flap. The rear compartment is separated from the front compartment via material integrally connected on the inside of the athletic pack. The rear access back-flap and rear compartment allows for unhindered access, storage and control of the water bladder in either its full or empty state.

Such a backpack system can be scalable in different configurations in order to perform different tasks. This can include breaking down from one pack to form two or more independent backpacks, each with their own shoulder straps and waist belt systems. In a reverse form of component assembly, a number of backpacks of the invention can be combined to form a single backpack, thus consolidating or transferring the load from two people onto one person, or from 3 people onto two or one person.

Abstract: A portable carrier for a hair dryer comprises a receptacle adapted to receive the hair dryer and one or more straps facilitating carrying of the portable carrier by a user. The portable carrier contains ventilation netting on a portion intended to cover air intake vents of the hair dryer. Openings are provided in the carrier to accommodate hair dryer cords and plugs. The hair dryer is preferably of a turtle shell shape and is powered by rechargeable batteries and remote controlled.

Abstract: A backpack system is provided including an external frame, a pack bag and a sling configured for extending between the frame and pack bag providing a space between the frame and pack bag for accommodating heavy or bulky cargo therebetween. The sling can be extended or retracted in order to selectively adjust the distance between the pack bag and frame. The backpack system may also include a pouch for supporting a lower end of relatively long object therein, which may be carried in the space between the pack bag and frame. The laptop compartment flap also includes a stop means preventing the laptop compartment flap from extending past the open position. With the laptop stored in the laptop compartment of the enclosure, the user may support the backpack in front of the user by the shoulders using shoulder straps, open the laptop compartment flap, remove the laptop and supported the laptop on an inside surface of the laptop compartment flap, with the weight of the laptop being supported by the flap and the stop means.

Abstract: A backpack for carrying a load comprises a shoulder strap assembly, an exterior shell and a pouch for storing the load. The exterior shell has an opening and is attached to the shoulder strap. The pouch is located inside the shell and attached to it and comprises a stretchable portion. This stretchable portion is made of a material having an elastic modulus allowing it to stretch and retract when the load is placed inside the pouch so that the pouch moves down and up relative to the shell with a gait of a wearer of the backpack.

Abstract: This invention provides a combination note pad and credential holder having a neck cord or lanyard that passes through a loop in the notepad to allow the item to be worn about the neck at a desired level, typically at chest height. The notepad can include a back cover that supports a writing pad and a hinged front cover, joined to the back cover and selectively opened to access the writing pad. A small pen can be removably attached to a loop between the covers along a side of the writing pad. The bottom edge of the notepad includes a fastener assembly for removably attaching a credential sleeve with a clear window for displaying the user's credential document(s). The sleeve has an open side that allows the documents to be slid thereinto. The fastener assembly can comprise one or more sets of interengaging snaps, look-and-loop members or a zipper-like structure. When not needed, the sleeve can be removed or flipped into a position behind the back cover, out of view.

Abstract: Emergency responders, such as ski patrollers and search and rescue emergency medical technicians, need to be able to carry all gear for immediate medical response for injured skiers, people injured on cliffs, etc. This backpack invention will allow the emergency responders to comfortably carry oxygen tank, bandages, drugs, water, blanket, cell phone, radio, gloves, and additional paraphernalia for quick access, and then to work out of the backpack either when the backpack is opened up and lying flat on the ground or when it is held upright. The heavy weight of an oxygen tank in the loaded backpack will be carried in this pack close against the responder's body, towards the middle (best for balance), with the medical gear and various other needed items quickly accessible in an unstable personal situation.

The base area and changing area pivot away from each other at a second hinge point to lay on a surface. The storage area pivots away from the changing area at a hinge point and rests on the base area to expose a clean changing surface. After changing, the storage area pivots back to lay flat across the changing area and contain soiled surfaces within the changing area. By lifting the clean carry apparatus, the base area and changing area pivot together, containing soiled surfaces in contact with the surface. An embodiment provides a privacy shield for changing. Another embodiment provides a foldable mat with a clean area.

The connectors for connecting a cover extending from the soft enclosure and the hard casing are installed with a plurality of buckles. The cover is installed with a first insertion portion at a front surface of the bag and a second insertion portion at two sides of the bag. A band passes through the first insertion portion and second insertion portion. The band out of the first insertion portion and second insertion portion is tightened by the retaining ring. Two ends of the band are buckled to selective two buckled of the plurality of buckles. The band is capable of being buckled to the buckles of different levels so that the tightness of the cover securing to the hard casing is adjusted according to the objects in the bag.

Abstract: A sportsmen's utility bucket cover is provided for use in combination with a standard utility bucket. The cover includes a cylindrical wall that surrounds the outside cylindrical surface of the bucket. The cover also includes a bottom wall that is configured to correspond to the closed end of the utility bucket. A foam pad may be inserted between the bottom wall of the cover and the closed end of the bucket for seat cushioning purposes. The cover still further comprises a plurality of pockets and a beverage holder formed on the outside of the utility bucket cover to hold any desired item. Each pocket includes a closure facing toward the closed end of the bucket so that when the bucket is used as a seat, the pocket openings face upward, allowing the sportsman to access the pockets yet prevent the contents from spilling onto the ground.
