  • Patent number: 5163591
Abstract: A holster to be used by a painter or to suspend a container from his waist has an oblong panel which is suspended from its midsection to the outer face of the belt by a hook-and-ring assembly so that the upper end of the panel is engaged between the belt and the waist of the wearer. The opposite end of the panel has a strap assembly which adjustably surrounds and supports the container. A pair of looping straps secured to the upper and lower edges of the belt at opposite sides of the panel attachment points are use to slidingly engage the arcuate handle of the container. Due to the swinging attachment of the panel to the belt, the holster can be used to carry the container on either the right or left side. During bending or stooping movements the panel automatically adjusts to maintain a vertical position for the container, the friction of the upper end of the panel against the inner face of the belt and the waist of the wearer limits and dampens the oscillation of the container and panel.

  • Patent number: 5020711
Abstract: A holder for reusable hot/cold packs used topically for the thermo treatment of muscle injuries, aches, inflammations and the like. Each holder is capable of accepting and retaining a corresponding thermo pack. The holder/thermo pack may be used singularly or combined with one or more like holder/thermo packs using a number of corresponding hook and loop strips for treating larger injury areas. One or more elastic bands, affixed at one end to the holder, wrap around the portion of the body being treated, and attach again to the holder by means of a hook and loop fastener system. If the attached elastic bands are not of sufficient length to completely wrap around the treatment area, additional elastic bands of greater length, with hook and loop fasteners on each end, are used and attached to either the holder or an elastic band.

  • Patent number: 5007569
Abstract: A hand-portable storage container with two headrest cushions designed for use by one or two children in the backseat of an automobile or other vehicle. The preferred overall configuration of the apparatus resembles a child's play house with a two-sided inclined roof structure, to which is attached two large pillows, one on each side. The left and right sections of the roof structure are preferably hinged. This gives the children access to internal storage compartments underneath the left and right sections of the roof structure, where the children may place toys, books, crayons or other supplies to keep them occupied on longer trips in the car. The storage compartments preferably include removable dividers with pockets or pouches for storing pencils or other small objects. The pillows are headrest cushions upon which the children may comfortably nap simultaneously, even while each is safely restrained by a seat belt in the backseat of a vehicle.
