Abstract: Described is a mechanical device designed to dispense tissue paper or cloth web by gravity-actuated release gear system. The release gear system is activated by pressing a lever that is connected to the unidirectional gear release system. The gear mechanism is supported on the inside of the dispenser and has the lever extending through a side opening of the cover of the cabinet. The gear train, connected to this lever, is also connected to the axle of the towel roll through a square butt end.

Abstract: A device for dispensing tape in desired lengths from a supply reel which is rotatably supported in a housing and fed out by means of a manually actuable drive wheel which also has, in the housing, a knife which is manually actuable in the direction of the tape to cut the tape. The device makes it easy to single-handedly separate from the supply reel a desired length of tape.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for controllably dispensing paper tissue from a spirally wound roll on a hollow core. The apparatus is comprised of holding means having a vertically oriented front panel, a floor and two side retaining members. The paper roll is supported on the floor such that the core is disposed horizontally and perpendicularly to the side members. A paper engaging means, supported by the holding means, and adapted for reciprocal motion in a linear path, advances the paper through an opening when moved in one direction, and does not move the paper when moved in the reverse direction.

Abstract: A mailing machine including a postage meter for printing postage impressions on tape, a removable tape dispensing module, and a device for receiving the removable tape dispensing module. The removable tape dispensing module includes a support housing, a shaft translatably mounted in the housing, an advance roller slidably mounted on the inner end of and rotatably with the shaft, a paddle pivotably mounted on the housing and biased downwardly onto the advance roller to thereby clamp the tape, a cam fixedly mounted on the interior portion of the shaft, the cam being engagable with the paddle to lift the paddle away from the advance roller, a rotatable knob mounted on the outer end of the shaft and capable of rotating the advance roller, and a device for effecting translation of the cam in the direction of the axis of the shaft.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a low cost throwaway medicament dispensing device characterized by structural integrity for dispensing a medicament to a user in a time controlled manner so as to discourage the taking of an overdose of the medicament by the user without interfering with the dispensing of a prescribed amount of the medicament.

Abstract: A vending machine for vending goods or services of the type requiring the insertion of coins or tokens of a certain value in order to obtain the goods or services. A ticket dispensing apparatus is associated with the machine whereby a ticket will be dispensed by the machine in addition to the vending of the goods or services. The ticket will be redeemable by the user of the machine for something of value in addition to the goods or services received. Feeding means are employed for dispensing the tickets at a ticket delivery position, the feeding means being operable by the actuating means of the machine. These actuating means are operable only upon the insertion of coins or tokens of sufficient value and, therefore, the tickets are dispensed only upon insertion of sufficient coins or tokens.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing from a roll of tape or labels in a predetermined length, which dispenser includes an inner shell carrying a roll of tape or labels to be dispensed through an outlet opening, an outer housing rotatable for a limited distance with respect to the inner shell with an outlet opening for the tape or labels and an interposed friction lock for advancing the tape or labels for dispensing.

Abstract: A tape container and dispensing apparatus formed of plastic material including means for advancing the tape to dispense a strip of any desired length and integrally formed shearing means to provide scissors-like shearing action to sever the tape strip.

Abstract: A supply web of relatively smooth paper toweling is mounted on a dispenser and is directed between rotatable dispensing rolls which have interengaging generally triangular teeth. The dispensing rolls are resiliently urged together with the paper toweling web therebetween and during roll rotation, the teeth compressively abut and foldably deform the relatively smooth paper web into a crimped paper web without appreciable permanent thickness deformation. During the crimping of the paper web by the dispensing rolls and without regard to roll rotation, the paper web is at all times securely retained by the rolls so that after the dispensing of a desired length of the crimped paper web, the web may be cut along a dispenser cutting bar during such roll retention.

Abstract: A housing having its interior divided into a supply chamber for a folded row of connected tickets and a dispensing chamber, and providing a discharge opening at one end for delivery of tickets. A feeding element in the dispensing chamber is operated by an actuator to feed the row of tickets toward the discharge opening. The actuator is movable between spaced feeding and holding positions and has an edge portion that holds the row of coupons or tickets against discharge movements when the actuator is in its holding position. A retarding arrangement applies frictional effort against the row of tickets to prevent free movement of the tickets during a portion of the feeding movement of the feeding element, and lessens the frictional effort or drag on the tickets when the actuator is moved to its holding position.
