Abstract: In an embodiment a storage device includes a base carrier extending along a main surface having a surface structuring, a carrier foil including a first main surface and a second main surface, wherein the first main surface is fixable to or arrangeable on the main surface of the base carrier, and wherein the components are fixable to the second main surface and a fixing frame fixing the carrier foil, which is fixed or positioned to the main surface of the base carrier, to the base carrier and acting as a releasable clamp so that the carrier foil is clampable and securable in or to the base carrier.

Abstract: A rope dispensing system for dispensing a continuous rope from a compressed rope cartridge. The device has a canister for storage of the rope cartridge, a resealable lid with a grommet for passing the rope through the lid, and a replaceable cutting mechanism for cutting the rope. Preferably the rope cartridge is shrink-wrapped to fit within case and keep rope from unraveling.

Abstract: In a system for facilitating the wrapping and taping of articles with wrapping materials, two or more apparatuses adapted to be secured in adjacent spaced relation on a planar surface are provided so as to support a roll of wrapping material therebetween. Each apparatus has an upper frame member which supports an end of the roll thereon and which includes a cavity for dispensing desired lengths of tape therefrom, and a clamp member adapted to be actuated by a user to removably attach its corresponding apparatus to a ledge of the planar surface so that the supported roll is parallel to and above the planar surface.

Abstract: Floss dispensers are described. In one embodiment, a floss dispenser includes a housing and a feeder coupled to the housing. The feeder may be configured to feed a length of floss from a spool of floss. The floss dispenser also includes a spout formed in the housing. The spout may have a cutter entry and a cutter exit. The floss dispenser also includes a cutter coupled to the housing. The cutter may be coupled to the housing between the cutter entry and the cutter exit. The spout may be configured to guide the length of floss to the cutter.

Abstract: A portable adhesive tape cutting device includes a main body, a cutting unit fixedly on the main body, a handle pivotally connected to two side walls of the main body, and a cover pivotally connected to the handle. The present invention can be used quickly and conveniently for cutting a desired length of adhesive tape. The portable adhesive tape cutting device is provided with the handle for the user to change the position of the portable adhesive tape cutting device conveniently.

Abstract: A paper towel dispenser includes a housing for holding a stack of interfolded towels. The housing includes a front wall, a rear wall, two outer side walls, an upper wall and a support surface for the stack of towels, the stack of towels being located adjacent and parallel to at least the front wall. The front wall extends a predetermined distance below the support surface. A dispensing opening is located between the front wall and the support surface, and at least one guide element is arranged to support a leading panel of a first towel adjacent the front wall and a leading edge of the leading panel parallel to the lower edge of the front wall.

Abstract: A tape dispenser is adapted to dispense lengths of adhesive tape from a roll of adhesive tape wound upon a cylindrical tape core. The tape dispenser comprises a first sidewall and a second sidewall generally parallel to the first sidewall. Each sidewall has a hub structure, a tape retaining tab, and a foot portion located between the hub structure and the tab. The tape core is rotatably supported on the hub structures of the first and second sidewalls. A tape guide portion interconnects the first and second sidewalls. A cutter is located at a forward end of the tape guide portion. A roller is rotatably supported between the sidewall front portions. The roller is beneath the tape guide portion and adjacent the cutter. The tape dispenser is configured to allow a user to only use one hand to hold the tape dispenser and dispense a length of tape on an associated substrate.

Abstract: A tape gun is provided having a pistol-grip type handle supporting a tape dispensing roller upon which a roll of tape is mounted for rotatable dispensing. A tape pressure plate guides the dispensed tape onto a package, with a guide roller mounted in the tape path between the dispensing roller and the pressure plate. The roller is made of or incorporates a magnetic material, such as a neodymium magnet or equivalent. The packaging tape itself incorporates a magnetically attractive material, such as iron dust or wires or other magnetic metal within or on the tape backing in a manner that comes in contact with the magnetic guide roller.

Abstract: A hand held tape dispenser for applying adhesive tape to a surface. The dispenser includes a housing for holding and dispensing a roll of tape and has a tape dispensing opening therein. A plurality of rollers are within the housing, the outer surfaces of which coact with each other and the tape to retain, guide and feed the tape through the opening. The outer surface of at least one of the rollers protrudes through the opening on one side thereof enabling frictional contact of the roller with the surface to be taped. When the tape dispenser passes over the surface in one direction the outer surface of the roller engages the surface and the tape causing it to roll and to coact and drive the other rollers. This causes the rollers to grip the surfaces of the tape and feed the tape through the opening enabling the tape to adhesively contact the surface and adhere thereto. The tape is cut off at the opening.

Abstract: A tape dispenser for applying adhesive tape to a substrate surface. The dispenser includes an exterior application surface with an opening therein. A plurality of rotatable cylindrical rollers are mounted within the housing, wherein the surfaces of the rollers coact with each other and the tape surfaces to retain, guide and feed the tape through the tape dispensing opening to the exterior application surface. At least two of the plurality of rollers are opposed rollers that engage the tape surfaces therebetween. The outer surface of at least one of the plurality of rollers protrudes through the opening enabling frictional contact of the roller surface with the substrate surface. When the dispenser is drawn over the surface, the outer surface of the this roller engages and rolls over the substrate surface. It also coacts with the outer surfaces of the other rollers, causing them to grip the tape and feed it through the opening, enabling the adhesive tape to be applied to the substrate surface.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable handheld article dispenser comprised of an ergonomically snug grip body for use without the need for permanent attachement of the device to any structure or support surface. The interior of the portable handheld article dispenser comprises a cavity adapted to hold a roll of articles such as plastic bags. The upper section of one axial wall comprises a recessed portion to enable users to rest their thumb for an ergonomic firm grip and a slanted raised edge that provides a frictional surface to prevent the thumb from sliding. The middle portion of the same axial wall enabes the palmar muscles of the thumb to securely rest thereon, and its lower portion curves and comprises of a plurality of parallel grooves (striates) along the length of this edge for a more secure grip when users curl their hand to grip the dispenser.

Abstract: A roll dispenser is comprised of a tubular housing with a first end cap and a second end cap. Each end cap is comprised of a plate with an integral lip which is parallel to the sides of the housing for a slide fit. The first end cap is removable from the housing. A longitudinal slot is arranged along the housing. Slots in respective lips of the end caps are aligned with the slot in the housing. A rod has a second end attached to the inside of the second end cap in a coaxial position inside the housing. A ring attached to the inside of the first end cap is arranged to support a first end of the rod. A mounting block is attached to a side of the housing. A mounting bracket is detachably mated with the mounting block for mounting the dispenser on a wall.

Abstract: A tape dispenser having a frame, a cutter blade and at least one pair of projections disposed on the opposed interior surfaces of the side walls is disclosed. The distance between the projections is less than the distance between the interior surfaces of the side walls and is also less than the width of the tape held in the dispenser. The tape dispenser may also include a pair of tabs either associated with the projections or positioned between the projections and the tape mount. The dispenser is adapted to hold a roll of adhesive tape therein and because of the decreased distance between the projections, the tape assumes a convex shape when viewed from the front end of the dispenser. The shape of the tape and position of the tabs and projections causes the tape to be biased into contact with the interior of the front end of the dispenser. This helps to keep the free end of the tape out of contact with the roll in the dispenser.

Abstract: A tape dispenser for receiving a roll of tape and dispensing tape including a frame having a back end and a front end, a spool carried by the frame intermediate the back end and the front end, a retaining arm coupled to the back end of the frame and biased toward the spool for restraining the roll of tape. A flat feed is carried by the frame at the front end for receiving the tape and dispensing the tape in a flat configuration, and a corner feed is carried by the frame at the front end adjacent the flat feed, for receiving the tape and dispensing the tape in a folded configuration.

Abstract: A hand-held adhesive tape dispenser is in the form of a partial shell which has a support face and a peripheral wall to form an open face housing. A spool of adhesive tape is mounted to the support face through the use of mounting structure on the shell which rotatably and detachably mounts the core of the spool to the shell. The mounting structure includes spring fingers which snap over the core. An applicating end of the shell has a passage in its peripheral wall located near a fixed guide and a cutter at the applicating end so that tape removed from the core would pass through the passage around the guide to be applied to a substrate and then to be cut by the cutter.

Abstract: A dispenser is described for dispensing plastic bags which are wound on a hollow cylindrical core. The dispenser is an integral molded plastic device having a bottom panel and upstanding sidewalls which are biased toward each other and which include stub axles adapted to receive the opposite ends of the core on which the roll is wound. The sidewalls apply a braking force to the ends of the core. The core fits tightly onto the stub axles to provide an additional braking force in order to prevent free wheeling of the roll as the individual bags are dispensed.

Abstract: A dental flosser 10 includes a handle 12 having a hollow interior 14 adapted to hold a supply of dental floss 26. The handle 12 has an open end providing access to the hollow interior 14, and a cap has one end is connected to this open end of the handle 12. Another end of the cap includes a pair of fingers which are spaced apart. Each finger has a opening therein near a distal end thereof. The end of the cap connected to the handle 12 has a guideway which permits floss 26 to pass from the hollow interior 14 and be threaded through the openings in the fingers. A post 42 is attached to the cap member 16 between the fingers elements and the one end of the cap member 16. This post 42 includes a guideway 40 for the floss 26 and a blade 50 for cutting the floss. The post 42 has an underside which intersects the cap member 16 at an acute angle to provide notch structures 54 and 56.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for serially dispensing plastic bags from a wound roll of continuous flexible plastic bags joined along perforated severance lines. A container is provided which is adapted to receive the wound roll of plastic bags. The container has a bottom, a pair of opposed sides having an inwardly facing flange extending therefrom, and a separating tongue projecting outward from the bottom. The flanges define a self-threading slide for threading the plastic bags from the wound roll along a predetermined path onto the separating tongue. The separating tongue separates the plastic bags from the wound roll as the plastic bags engage the separation tongue along a predetermined path of travel.

Abstract: An adapter for enabling a single sheet towel dispenser to dispense towels from a roll. The single sheet towel dispenser has a housing with an access opening and a towel support tray within the housing, the tray having a dispenser slot for movement of a towel resting on the tray downward through the slot and outward to the access opening. The adapter has a first member and a second member, each having a lower section and an upper section, with the members joined together at the lower sections to define a towel passage therebetween, with the towel passage of a size to slide downward through the dispenser slot of the tray, and with the upper sections of the members curving away from each other and each terminating in a support section for resting on the tray.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for serially dispensing plastic bags from a wound roll of continuous flexible plastic bags joined along perforated severance lines. A box like container is provided which is adapted to receive the wound roll of plastic bags. The container has a bottom panel, a top panel, a rear panel, a front panel, and a pair of opposed side panels. The front panel defines a guide slot for guiding the plastic bags from the wound roll along a predetermined path and further defining a threading slide for threading the plastic bags from the wound roll into the guide slot. A separation tongue is located on the front panel for separating the plastic bags from the wound roll as the plastic bags engage the separation tongue along a predetermined path of travel.

Abstract: A combined dry sanitary tissue and prewetted personal hygiene wipes dispenser including a rear housing and a front housing, the front housing being movable from an open position to a closed position with the rear housing, the front and rear housings forming a first compartment for a roll of dry sanitary tissue, the compartment having an opening through which the roll of dry sanitary tissue is dispensed. A second compartment is provided inside the first compartment from which a roll of prewetted personal hygiene wipes is dispensed. The second compartment includes a lid having a dispensing port therethrough. There is an orifice through the front housing allowing access to the dispensing port in the lid when the front housing section is in the closed position. The lid is not removable from the second compartment when the front housing is in the closed position. A lock is included for locking the front housing in the closed position.

Abstract: A plastic bag dispenser holds a continuous roll of bags, connected by perforated separation lines. The dispenser is provided with a tongue, which the bags are dispensed over, that engages the separation line between the bag at the end of the roll and the next bag. This begins the separation of the separation line, as well as holds the next bag behind the tongue. A finger is provided on the upstream side of the tongue, with a gap between the finger and tongue. As a bag is separated, a portion of the front edge of the next bag is held in the gap, holding the bag in position for the next user. The roll of bags rests in angled grooves in the dispenser that cause the roll to abut and frictionally engage an interior surface of the dispenser, preventing free-wheeling of the roll.

Abstract: A roll of plastic bags is wound on an axle which is adapted to be retained within a dispensing device. The bags may be of any configuration but, preferably, are of the type known as a star seal with individual bags separated by perforated separation lines. The bags are wound around a core which can be retained on the axle so that the roll can rotate with respect to the axle when the axle is fixed within the dispensing device. A slot is provided in each separation line between adjacent bags, the slot adapted to engage a complementary tongue in the dispensing device for separating the individual bags. The width of the roll is such relative to the tongue that when an individual bag has been separated from the roll, portions of the next bag on the roll extend forwardly of the tongue where they are in a position to be grasped by a user and subsequently severed from the roll. The roller may include a feature for retarding rotation of the roll of bags relative to the axle.

Abstract: A dispenser is used for dispensing plastic film from a roll. The dispenser has a housing that may be mounted under a shelf or cupboard or on a wall. The housing consists of a cover unit that is installed in the place of use and a releasable base unit that fits into the bottom of the cover unit and is held in place with resiliently biased locking tabs. The base unit carries the roll of film, so that the roll is readily installed on the base unit when separated from the cover. The loaded base unit is easily lifted into place. The film is dispensed through a dispensing slot at the back of the base unit. Lengths of film are severed using a cutter at the front of the base unit. The length of film between the dispensing opening and the cutter is prevented from clinging to the underside of the base unit by using a non-planar, roughened surface on the under side of the base plate.

Abstract: An adhesive tape holder comprising a base cylinder constituted by two cylinders releasably connected together end by end. Each of the cylinders has an extension and the ends of the extensions are connected together by a knife seat with a saw-like knife mounted thereon. One of the extensions is constituted by two parts hinged together so that the cylinder associated therewith can be released and open to have a roll of adhesive tape disposed on the base cylinder. The saw-like knife is covered by a slidable safety lid to prevent the knife from hurting the user when not in use. Attached on one of the extensions is a tape tip retaining post which is rotatable in one direction so as to prevent the tape tip from losing contact with the post.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding, containing, and dispensing sterile, hygienic cordage, such as dental floss and suture materials. The apparatus comprises: a housing; and cutting and retaining means. The housing has a depression formed therein across which the cordage is placed. The apparatus allows a user to grasp the cordage, withdraw a desired length of cordage, and sever a trailing end thereof without manually touching the apparatus. This reduces the threat of cross-contamination between successive uses and/or users of the apparatus.

Abstract: A plastic bag dispenser holds a continuous roll of bags, connected by perforated separation lines. The dispenser is provided with a tongue, which the bags are dispensed over, that engages the separation line between the bag at the end of the roll and the next bag. This begins the separation of the separation line, as well as holds the next bag behind the tongue. A finger is provided on the upstream side of the tongue, with a gap between the finger and tongue. As a bag is separated, a portion of the front edge of the next bag is held in the gap, holding the bag in position for the next user.

Abstract: A container (10, 10A) for a long object (50) has an opening (18) which is formed in the container wall (12) at a position adjacent to an open end edge (14) of the container and which allows the long object to be extracted therethrough. A first notch (22) is formed in the open end edge spaced from the opening (18) so as to extend in the direction of length of the container. The first notch is capable of receiving a portion of the long object extracted through the opening. A second notch (3) spaced apart from the first notch is formed in the open end edge of the container so as to extend in the direction of the length of the container. The second notch (30) is provided with a cutter (40) in the bottom thereof. The arrangement is such that the portion of the long object which has been extracted past the first notch is forced into the second notch so as to be cut by the cutter.

Abstract: A wall mounted toilet tissue dispenser for two very large rolls of toilet tissue. The rolls are rotatably supported side by side in the dispenser with the axis of each roll perpendicular to the mounting wall of the dispenser. Paper is dispensed through a dispensing opening located at the bottom of the dispenser. Tail guide members are provided in the dispenser for limiting the location in the dispensing opening of the tail of each roll of tissue and for guaranteeing that the paper is at an angle to the vertical when the paper is severed so that after the paper is cut the tail will project below the dispensing opening when the paper falls to a vertical position.

Abstract: A one handed sheet holder for enabling a user to tear off the desired amount of sheets from a roll single handedly. The sheet holder is conformed to be attached to a standard sheet dispensing means, such as a toilet paper dispenser, a paper towel dispenser, and the like. The sheet holder has one or more retaining slots cut into the top of the holder which are wider at the opening and narrower at the ending of the slot. As a result, sheets drawn into the slot are forced to the narrow ending, bunch, and tear leaving the end of the roll of the paper captured in the slot and the desired amount of paper for use in the user's hands. As a result, handicapped and other individuals can easily secure the desired amount of rolled sections of tissue single handedly. Further, the end of the roll is captured and displayed so that it can be simply and easily retained when further sections of paper are desired.

Abstract: An improved tape dispenser comprises a body in the form of a rectangular block with a recess at one end to contain a wheel with a tape reel thereon, a tape stand with a zigzag cutter blade at the other end, a first adhesion face behind the cutter blade, a side post with a guide roller in the middle of the body to depress the tape passing beneath it, and another tape stand with a second adhesion face so that the tape extending from the tape reel is bent in a plurality of positions to maintain stability of the body, prevent the wheel from being pulled out of the body and prevent dislocation of the uncut end of the tape from the first adhesion face by reaction of the reel after cutting.

Abstract: The roll dispenser has as a box for receiving a roll of continuous sheet material, having a bottom, a pair of sides oriented longitudinal with respect to the roll, a pair of sides axial with respect to the roll. One of the longitudinal sides is adapted for receiving a cutting element, at least one tongue element is mounted on at least one of the sides of the box in space relation with the longitudinal side receiving the cutting element. The tongue prevents the recoil of the free end of sheet material onto the roll. In one embodiment, the roll dispenser further comprises a longitudinal side defining the top of the box, at least a portion of its longitudinal sides hingedly mounted to define a gap near the cutting and tongue elements. Also disclosed is a blank for constructing the box.

Abstract: A dispenser for tapes packaged in a roll and having an adhesive on one side thereof has a pair of spaced parallel sidewalls upstanding from the base and a mounting disk is rotatably positioned upon a shaft extending between the centers of the sidewalls. A roll of tape is mounted on the mounting disk. There is a cutter edge at an upper corner of the housing between the sidewalls and there is a rotatable roller positioned below and inwardly of the cutter edge but above a radius extending from the center shaft to the cutter edge. The roller has a helical thread thereon so as to provide a moving point contact for the adhesive surface of the tape moving thereover. As the adhesive side of the tape passes over the roller and below the cutter edge, the tape can be pulled out to a desired length and then cut along its non-adhesive surface by being moved upwardly against the cutter edge.

Abstract: A roll dispenser carbon for dispensing sheet material, e.g., food wrap type sheet material. A unique cutting edge structure on the carton permits tearing off a length of the sheet material after that length has been withdrawn from the roll inside the carton. In the case of certain type sheet materials, the cutting edge structure retains the remaining free edge of the sheet material on the cutting edge after the desired sheet length has been torn from the roll. The cutting edge structure is comprised of a series of punched buds, each bud having at least two petals, that are formed in a metal sheet by punching that sheet with a piercing punch.

Abstract: A roll dispenser carton for dispensing sheet material, e.g., food wrap type sheet material. A unique cutting edge structure on the carton permits tearing off a length of the sheet material after that length has been withdrawn from the roll inside the carton. In the case of certain type sheet materials, the cutting edge structure retains the remaining free edge of the sheet material on the cutting edge after the desired sheet length has been torn from the roll. The cutting edge structure is comprised of a series of punched buds, each bud having at least two petals, that are formed in a metal sheet by punching that sheet with a piercing punch. The points of each bud's petals are turned inwardly toward the bud's axis, thereby minimizing the cutting edge's ability to scrape or scratch a user's hands or the like.

Abstract: A device for separating from a continuous strip having score lines defining individual sheets or bags wherein a plate and a pressure bar justapositioned to the plate and spaced apart therefrom to permit the strip to pass therebetween is provided. A bearing or prong projects outwardly from the center portion of the plate in order to facilitate separation sections of the strip along the score lines and display the next succeeding section for easy grasp by an operator.

Abstract: A bridge structure that facilitates drawing and cutting of wrapping stock is formed from a panel embodying the package structure. The bridge is erected in a substantially upright position on the panel and is maintained in its position by a pair of legs in either of its ends that have foot portions engaging the panel through punch-out openings in the panel.

Abstract: A dispenser for one or more rolls of pressure sensitive adhesive coated tape. The dispenser includes a core support having an arcuate surface adapted to support the rolls of tape for rotation about the surface. The core support is fixed at one end to a radially projecting member slidably mounted on a base for the dispenser to afford manual movement of the core support between a dispense position at which a roll of tape is retained around the core support by walls of the dispenser adjacent the side surfaces of the roll of tape as tape is pulled from the roll; and a load position at which empty cores can be removed and full rolls of tape applied over an unrestricted end of the core support.
