Abstract: A dispenser is configured for use with a chain of rupturably connected elastic bands, each of the bands having an aperture. The dispenser includes a fixed convex surface and a stop element. The chain of bands is configured to be drawn over the fixed convex surface in a direction from a first side to a second side of the surface. The stop element is positioned proximate the second side of the surface and is configured for insertion into the aperture of one of the elastic bands. In another aspect, an assembly is configured for use with a chain of rupturably connected elastic bands. The chain is provided on a spool, and each of the bands has an aperture therethrough. The assembly includes a dispenser and a shaft configured to support the spool. A method is described for dispensing elastic bands from a chain of rupturably connected elastic bands.

Abstract: A dispensing roll lock device comprises at least one rod and end caps designed to attach to ends of the rods. The rod is sized to be inserted through end locks on sides of a dispensing box and through the roll in the box. The end caps secure the rod in the box so that the roll of the dispensing box is secured in the box when dispensing material from the roll.

Abstract: A tool for use with wrapping paper comprises a unitary, plastic stick and a length of at least 18 inches. The stick extends linearly and has serrations defined in the plastic stick on a first side and has a non-serrated second side, opposite the first side, separated by a width. The serrations are adjacent a bracing surface and are parallel to the wrapping paper when the bracing surface is disposed on top of the wrapping paper. In particular embodiments, a non-skid feature can be added to the bracing surface, as well as a lip to self-orient the tool relative to the edge of wrapping paper. The tool can be provided within the hollow central core of a roll of wrapping paper, and enclosed therein by a clear plastic wrap. A product resulting from a 3D printing process is also described.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tape holder for supporting a tape roll and cutting tape from the tape roll. The tape holder includes a first holder body and a second holder body. The first holder body has an overall ‘E’ shape and includes a cutting part which is provided on a first end of the first holder body and on which a cutter is formed to cut the tape; a support part which is provided on a second end of the first holder body to support the tape holder on a support surface; and a coupling part provided on a medial portion of the first holder body to support the tape roll. The second holder body has the same shape as that of the first holder body. The coupling parts of the first and second holder bodies are coupled to each other in a center hole of the tape roll.

Abstract: An angled core slot dispenser includes an inclined platform sized and shaped to fit beneath a roll of film bags wound on a hollow central core. A core pin has first and second ends, is sized and shaped to fit slidably within the central core and has at least one notch that extends across one of the ends. First and second guide slots are sized, shaped and located to fit slidably about the ends of the core pin. At least one guide rail is located between outer edges of at least one of the guide slots and is sized and shaped to slidably engage the at least one notch. A bag stream guide, side constraints and a snagging hook are attached to the bag dispenser. The dispenser may be attached to an adapter for a bin mounted to a vertical surface formerly used to hold a single wide bag roll.

Abstract: A sheet product dispenser includes a housing to partially enclose a roll of sheet product, at least one end-opening at a longitudinal end of the housing to load said roll within the housing, and a longitudinal slit along a length of the housing to allow a leading edge of said sheet product to be unrolled therethrough defined by an upper and lower lip of the housing. The upper lip can flex to contact the lower lip to hold the sheet product in place during a cutting operation. The dispenser may further include a deforming projection disposed on a portion of the lower lip to deform the sheet product during a cutting operation to prevent roll-back of the sheet product.

Abstract: A dispensing aid is disclosed for attachment to an annular roll of tape that has an inside radial surface and an outer radial tape surface, such as a roll of masking tape for example. A pair of side risers each have at a lower end thereof an opposing, inwardly-projecting tab that is configured for sliding along the inside radial surface of the roll of tape. A top platform laterally spans the outer radial tape surface width and is fixed with an upper end of each riser. The distance between each riser may be adjustable to accommodate different tape roll widths. A cutting blade projects away from the top platform at a forward end of the platform. One of the risers may include a central slot wherein the riser is slidably engaged within the slot. The riser may include a pivot mechanism such that the riser may pivot from a vertical closed position to a horizontal open position, thereby facilitating the attachment and removal of the aid with the tape roll.

The tear-assist comprising a driving portion that drives the line of material along the path, a sensing unit that detects pulling of the line of material in a first direction along the path away from the driving portion, and a cutting member for cutting the line of material. The sensing unit can be associated with the driving portion such that upon detecting movement of the line in the first direction, the sensing unit causes the driving portion to drive the line of material in a second direction along the path for drawing the line of material against the cutting member to cut the line of material. In another configuration, when the sensing unit detects the movement in the first direction, the sensing unit can cause the driving portion to, drive the line of material in the second direction sufficiently for severing the portion of the line of material.

At least one flexible wrapper encases the food products forming a cylindrical mass having a low coefficient of friction with respect to the elastomeric net. The wrapper is preferably provided with at least one perforation adapted to be circumferentially disposed near the midpoint of the food products within the elastomeric net. The wrapping sheets are formed in a continuous roll containing a longitudinal perforation. The roll may be disposed within a dispensing device having a cutting tool to allow for the detachment of any number of sheets of a predetermined length.

Abstract: A paper roll holder and dispenser having the ability to lock the roll in a non-rotating condition to allow the tear-off of individual sheets is described. The dispenser utilizes a tear bar coupled to a locking mechanism within the roll support to frictionally prevent rotation of the roll from the interior. An alternative dispenser utilizes a container with an inclined surface for retaining a paper roll at a feed opening during use. A pivotable tear bar positioned proximate the feed opening alternately allows dispensing of the paper from the feed opening and blocks dispensing from the feed opening when a tearing motion is applied to the tear bar.

The lid has a film presentation member that is positioned to contact and hold a portion of the film when the lid is in the closed position and to present said portion of film within the dispensing opening for grasping when the lid is moved to the open position.

Abstract: A tape dispenser dispenses rolled adhesive tape spirally wound on a hub. The dispenser has first and second side members, and a cutter member. Each of the side members has a first major side portion which overlies a roll of adhesive tape within the tape dispenser. A cylindrical axle portion is formed centrally on the inside surface of the first major side portion of each of the side members, and the cylindrical axle portions are telescopically received one in the other. At least the first side member is flexible in the region of the first major side portion, so that when it is flexed towards the second side member, the telescopic axle becomes shorter, and an interference of the hub and/or the tape with the side members occurs. Thus, a braking effect is imparted to the roll of adhesive tape, so as to preclude unwanted unreeling of the spirally wound adhesive tape from the hub.

Abstract: A tape dispenser having a frame, a cutter blade and a non-rotatable pressure pad is disclosed. The dispenser holds a roll of adhesive tape therein. The cutter blade and pressure pad are secured together and are snap-fitted into the frame so that the blade extends a short distance beyond the front edge of the frame. The pressure pad applies pressure to the adhesive tape as it is being dispensed from the tape dispenser. The frame has side walls that each have a tab formed thereon. The tabs are positioned a short distance to the rear of the pressure pad and they do not extend below the lower edge of the side walls of the dispenser. The tabs are positioned and shaped in such a manner that tape from the roll is supported on the top surface of the tabs. The tape is biased into contact with the pressure pad by the tabs so that the tape is ready to be dispensed from the roll and is prevented from curling back onto the roll when cut.

Abstract: A trash disposal device and method is provided that can be used to dispose litter and cigarette litter in particular. The device includes sheets of material forming a rectangular box casing that has a slot. Heat resistant material sheets are positioned within the casing such that the sheets may be pulled out of the casing through the slot. A sheet can be pulled out from the device and shaped into an ashtray-like shape that can be used to collect for instance cigarette litter. The ashtray-like shape with the litter can be folded up into a small package and then be placed in a storage area that could be part of the device. The trash disposal device could be assembled with foldable material to form the casing with a slot.

Abstract: A tape dispenser has a housing with a cutting end to which a blade is connected. The blade has a cutting edge extending outwardly beyond the cutting end of the housing. A shield is positioned adjacent the cutting edge of the blade to reduce the exposure of the cutting edge to reduce the risk or extent of potential injury.

Abstract: An adhesive tape dispenser having an improved mechanism for gripping the device while dispensing tape. The dispenser has spaced apart side walls and an upper wall connected thereto. The upper wall has a leading edge that is provided with a blade for cutting the adhesive tape. The upper wall is also provided with a shallow recess for placement of the index finger of the user. The recess may include a plurality of corrugations. The position of the recess allows the user to have both an improved grip on the dispenser and to apply directed pressure to the upper wall thereby allowing the tape to be cut more easily. The upper wall of the dispenser is also provided with wings that offer increased protection to the palm of the user's hand so that the rotating roll of tape does not cause injury to the user.

The transfer mechanism includes a transfer roller with a slot to receive a free end of sheet material from the second source. The transfer roller also includes a plurality of raised portions, the raised portions are free to rotate through a dispensing roller when there is an absence of sheet material from the first source. This rotation introduces the free end of sheet material from the second source to the dispensing roller, and allows dispensing from the second source. Afterwards, the transfer roller is set to receive sheet material from a new source of sheet material.
