The coupling unit includes a drive surface that moves in a plane or about an axis between the wall hanging and the wall.
Abstract: A nail-driving device includes a body having a nail ejection portion, a nail-striking member, an activation switch, a trigger mechanism, a force-transmitting member, and a safety mechanism. The force-transmitting member is connected pivotally to the safety mechanism. When the safety mechanism is limited in a first position, and when the trigger mechanism is actuated, the force-transmitting member activates the activation switch to thereby move the nail-striking member relative to the body. When movement of the safety mechanism relative to the body is allowed, and when the trigger mechanism is actuated, the force-transmitting member moves the safety mechanism from the first position to a second position such that a contact portion of the activation switch serves as a fulcrum.
Abstract: A washer holding device for temporarily retaining nonmagnetic washers being applied to a building material surface with a fastener gun comprises an arm for affixing the washer holding device to a fastener gun and a washer receptacle joined to the arm. The washer receptacle includes a contacting end, a washer receiving cavity, and a central aperture, with the contacting end defining a distal end of the washer holding device and the cavity sized to receive a nonmagnetic washer such that the washer is temporarily retained within the cavity via a friction fit. An embodiment may include a shoulder, such as an annular flange, recessed from the contacting end, with the shoulder adapted to contact the surface of a deformable building material to limit the depression of the washer receptacle into the building material. The arm may be of various configurations for use with different style fastener guns.
Abstract: A connection filament inserting apparatus of the present invention is for inserting a T-shape portion of a connection filament through an article safety and speedy, and comprises a hollow body formed by plastic working, said hollow body having a conical formed front end and an opening formed at a front end, where a length of the opening is longer than a prior art. It can be prevent that the accidents happen, such as a T-shape portion of a connection filament is pushed in or caught in a cavity of a front end of a conical portion.
Abstract: A self-contained button attachment assembly. In a preferred embodiment, the assembly comprises a fastener dispensing tool. The tool includes a hollow, open-ended, unitary housing having a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion and the bottom portion are generally cylindrical in shape, the top portion having a substantially greater cross-sectional diameter than the bottom portion. Four hollow, slotted needles are fixedly mounted in the housing and extend out through the bottom thereof. Four ejector rods are slidably mounted within the four needles, the four ejector rods being fixedly mounted at their respective top ends on a plate that is slidably mounted within the top portion of the housing and is accessible through the open top end thereof. The assembly also comprises a conventional garment button of the type having four transverse openings.
Abstract: A fastener driving tool capable of locating a preformed hole in a first workpiece, aligning the drive track of the tool with the hole, and thereafter driving a fastener, such as a nail, through the hole and into a second workpiece to attach the first workpiece to the second workpiece. The tool has a magazine comprising an outer portion affixed to the tool and its drive track containing guide body, and an inner portion containing a strip of nails and pivoted at its rearward end to the rearward end of the outer magazine portion. The inner magazine portion is pivotable within the outer magazine portion between a first position wherein the forwardmost nail of the strip extends well beyond the nose of the guide body serving as a probe to locate and enter the workpiece hole, and a second position wherein the forwardmost nail of the strip is still engaged in the workpiece hole and is properly aligned in the drive track to be driven by the tool driver through the first workpiece hole and into the second workpiece.
Abstract: A picture hanging apparatus is provided, which facilitate the hanging of a picture on a wall. The apparatus includes a tool with a frame having a forward or inner part that lies in front of a picture to be hung and which holds a hook device, and an outer part which includes a base extending rearwardly from the top of the inner part and a handle extending downwardly from the rear of the base. A driving mechanism which is movably mounted on the frame, has a drive end lying at the inner part of the frame and movable along a driveline to drive a fastener into the wall, the mechanism also including an actuator end lying at the frame outer part and being operable to forcefully move the drive end along the driveline. One drive mechanism includes a strike member slidably mounted on the frame to move parallel to the driveline, with the strike member having an outer end forming the actuator and designed to be operated by hitting it with a hammer.
Abstract: In a powered fastener-driving tool including a nosepiece arranged to guide a fastener driven by the tool and an actuator movable between an extended position and a retracted position and biased toward the extended position for disabling the tool unless the actuator is moved toward the retracted position, an improved mechanism is disclosed for positioning the tool relative to an opening in a workpiece to be fastened to a substrate. The mechanism comprises a probe having a tapered end adapted to extend into the opening of the workpiece for aligning the nosepiece with respect to the opening of the workpiece so that a fastener can be precisely driven through the opening of the workpiece. The mechanism further comprises a pivot pin for mounting the probe pivotally to the actuator via an arm mounted fixedly to the actuator and a bracket mounted fixedly to the arm.
Abstract: A connector (10) for positioning fasteners (16) in a preformed opening (24) in a wall (12). Tabs (18) formed on the front surface (13) of the wall (12) guide the nail gun (22) and trip a trigger mechanism to cause the fastener (16) to be driven through the wall (12) and into an abutting structural member. The system further includes a nail gun (59) having a follower plate (94) pivotally mounted in channels (89) formed on each side of a foot (79). Each follower plate (94) is guided into contact with a tab (116) that pivots the follower plate (94) into contact with a mounting plate (75) attached to a linking arm (68) that enables activation of a pneumatic nail driving device (62) and the ejection of a nail through a predetermined position on the connector (118).
