The plurality of panels comprises a first end panel, a first side panel, a second end panel, and a second side panel. At least one end flap is respectively foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels. The at least one end flap at least partially forms a closed end of the carton. An opener is positionable between a closed position substantially preventing removal of the product from the interior of the carton through a dispenser opening in one of the first end panel and the second end panel, and an open position allowing removal of the product from the interior of the carton through the dispenser opening.

Abstract: Disclosed is a container comprising a lid and a base. The lid has a top surface and a side wall all about the perimeter of the top surface. The side wall has a lip which may be formed from a rolled edge. The base has a bottom surface and a side wall. The side wall further includes a plurality of tapered sections, a plurality of retention bumps, and a plurality of pivot bumps. The lid is adapted to fit over the base such that the rolled edge abuts underneath the retention bumps and pivot bumps securing the lid in place when the container is closed. The rolled edge of the lid pivots about and slides along the pivot bumps when the container is in an open position to create an opening for accessing contents of the container.

Abstract: A box with a sliding opening has an integral liner to keep pourable contents fresh and dry. The box has a slide that is moveable by a user's thumb across the opening to open and close the box and the liner during the same operation. The user in one motion can either open the box and the liner to pour out the contents or close the box and the liner so the contents do not spill out. Advantageously, the box is formed from a single blank piece of paper or cardboard stock, and a single planar sheet of moisture impervious material liner is placed onto the blank and folded in a particular sequence such that the slide ends up inside the box for easy assembly with a resulting sealed liner bag inside.

Abstract: A box for easy dispensing of solid pourable product has a slide with a portion fixed, preferably by adhesive, to the top, but otherwise detachable from the box, preferably along a perforation. One of the sides of the box has an opening near the top of the box, covered by the slide. Upon lifting the top of the box and thereby detaching the slide, the opening is uncovered enabling the contents to flow from inside the box. The easy-dispensing box is constructed by starting from a single sheet of blank stock, and folding the sides, preferably into a tube box with sealed ends. Advantageously, the slide and the stops end up inside the box and properly located, and both ends of the box may be sealed.

Abstract: A reclosable pack according to the invention has a container with a covering film or foil as a closure part which covers a removal opening, which closure part is at least partially connected to the container, by a permanent adhesive, via an edge region adjoining the removal opening, and is made from a flexible material. Advantageously it is therefore possible to detach the closure part in order to release the removal opening by pulling in the pulling direction of the container and to place it back on the container in the opposite direction in order to reclose the removal opening. The container is surrounded by an outer pack which can be displaced in relation to the container in the pulling direction and in the opposite direction, and the closure part is fastened to the outer pack such that the release and reclosing of the removal opening can be controlled by displacing the outer pack in the pulling direction or in the opposite direction.

Abstract: A slide and shell container for consumer goods includes an outer shell and an inner slide. The inner slide includes a box and a lid, which is hingedly connected to the box at a hinge. The inner slide is slidable within the outer shell between a closed position in which the lid is closed and an open position in which the lid is open. The lid includes a lid flap which is arranged between the inner slide and the outer shell such that an engagement of the lid flap and the outer shell is capable of opening the lid. The lid flap is capable of engaging with the outer shell during movement of the inner slide from the closed position to the open position. The lid also includes a top wall, a back wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. The first side wall is connected through a fold line to the back wall and is connected through a fold line to the top wall.

Abstract: The present invention provides a container having a carton and a cover sized to fit over and enclose an interior space of the container. Carton and cover each are adapted to permit controlled flow of air in to and out of the interior space of the container. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, cover sidewalls are adapted to move between an open position and a closed position, wherein air is permitted to flow in to and out of the interior space of the container when the sidewalls are in an open position, but inhibited from flowing in to and out of the container when the sidewalls are in a closed position.

Abstract: Broadly defined, the present invention is an improved packaging system for products that can be poured. Most commonly, those products will be solid pourable products, such as cereals, candies, rice, detergents, and a multitude of other products. However, in a broad sense, the packaging system can be used with liquids and other pourable products. One aspect of the present invention is a box with an opening and a mechanism to open and close the opening. The system includes a liner. The liner may have a removable portion, defined by one or more lines of weakness or by other means such as a removable sticker. The removable portion of the liner is aligned with the box opening. The system can optionally include a cartridge, into which the liner is affixed, for insertion into the box. The cartridge serves to maintain the liner in the proper position within the box. As another option, the system can include a sound module. As the box is opened, the sound module is activated.
