A corner on an outside surface of the first panel is provided with a nearby perforation or line of weakness to discourage peeling of the corner.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide cartons that they are designed and shaped to hold product, such as ice cream, that are made from a single, one-piece blank. The one-piece blank can be folded by the food product manufacturer on-site to create a container or carton, without having to be shipped in a pre-glued configuration. The cartons generally do not require polyethylene in order to maintain their shape. Some embodiments are designed so as to have a slight outward taper of the left and right side walls and the back wall, which provides a pleasing shape to consumers, potentially increasing marketing opportunities and sales.

Abstract: A reusable plastic container is provided. The container includes a plastic container body having opposing side panels and opposing end panels. The container body also includes top side panel flaps attached to a top portion of each side panel, and bottom side panel flaps attached to a bottom portion of each side panel. The container body has top end panel flaps attached to a top portion of each end panel, and bottom end panel flaps attached to a bottom portion of each end panel. The top and bottom side panel flaps are each defined with respect to the side panels by a fold line. The fold lines including at least one scored portion and at least one welded portion.

Abstract: There is herein described a disposable clamshell food service package which includes a novel flex-hinge panel between the lid and bottom of the package. This construction permits the package to open easily when the lid is pushed upwardly resulting in a flat tray like configuration devoid of the typical upstanding wall or divider and which may be used as a serving plate by the consumer. The container may be easily snapped closed and locked to allow later consumption of any uneaten food products.

Abstract: A lunch box includes a main body having a bottom portion, two side portions, a front portion and a back portion to define a receiving space, and a cover that covers upper portion of the main body extending from the back portion. Two side portions extend from bottom part of the junction of the front portion and back portion to form first shaping lines, and a retracting portion is formed between two side portions and two first shaping lines, and an expanding portion is formed at the junction of first shaping lines and the front portion. When the cover is bended down to cover the main body, the front portion is restored when the retracting portion rebounds, and the expanding portion is outwardly against the junction of the front cover and side covers to form a restricting position, so the box can be closed securely without external securing components.

Abstract: A blank of sheet material for forming a container is provided. The blank includes a tray panel assembly, a cover panel assembly, a fold line connecting the tray panel assembly and the cover panel assembly, and an anti-buckling mechanism interrupting the fold line. The anti-buckling mechanism includes a series of cuts positioned at least partially below the fold line in the tray panel assembly. The series of cuts extends more than half a length of the fold line. Each cut of the series of cuts is substantially straight. The anti-buckling mechanism further includes an upper cut line defined in the cover panel assembly.

Abstract: A hermetically-sealed paperboard container is disclosed that may be produced using a conventional converting machine but at a converting temperature of at least 93° C. lower than a conventional converting temperature. The formation of pin holes or rupture on the barrier structure during the converting process can be significantly reduced, resulting in the hermetically-sealed paperboard container with enhanced barrier performances.

Abstract: A collapsible cardboard box including, in an erected state, a back wall, an opposing front wall, a first side wall and an opposing second side wall. In its collapsed state, the box includes a first through hole in the front portion and a second through hole in the back portion. In the collapsed state, the box has been unfolded in such a way that the first and second through holes are in line with each other forming a handle for allowing a person to carry the collapsed box by use of the first and second through holes.

Abstract: A food carton includes a substantially triangular bottom panel with a first, second and third edge. A first, second, and third sidewall connect to the first, second, and third edge, respectively, of the bottom panel. A cover is connected to a top edge of the third sidewall. The bottom panel; first, second, and third sidewalls; and the cover define a substantially closed space therein in a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, a first side edge and a second side edge of the third sidewall extend beyond a rear edge of the first sidewall and a rear edge of the second sidewall, respectively, so that the rear edge of the first sidewall and the rear edge of the second sidewall are in frictional contact with an inner surface of the third sidewall.

Abstract: There is herein described a disposable clamshell food service package which includes a novel flex-hinge panel between the lid and bottom of the package. This construction permits the package to open easily when the lid is pushed upwardly resulting in a flat tray like configuration devoid of the typical upstanding wall or divider and which may be used as a serving plate by the consumer. The tray component comprises a bottom panel (21) and at least two opposed outer side panels (22, 23). The hood component (30) is placed within the tray component (20), comprises a top panel (31) and at least two inner side panels (32, 33), wherein said two inner side panels placed respectively in face to face relation with said two outer side panels of said tray component. When no load is applied on the top panel, a gap (G) separates the products from the top panel, and when a load of 1.50 N/cm2 is applied uniformly on the top panel (31), the inner side panels (32, 33) bend inwardly towards the products (40), so that the inner side panels come in contact with the products without the top panel coming in contact with the products.

Abstract: A combined box and resealable bag includes a paperboard box having a front wall, a rear wall, a pair of opposed side walls and a plurality of flaps capable of forming a bottom wall. The box walls have upper ends and lower ends, inside surfaces and outside surfaces. The upper end of each of the box walls is folded outwardly and downwardly so that the inside surface of each of the upper ends forms a strip that faces outwardly. The inside surfaces of the box walls, including the outwardly facing strips, have a thermal plastic coating thereon. The combination also includes a bag made of flexible plastic material having a zippered top and downwardly extending front and rear bag walls. While the box is still in its flat blank condition, the lower edge portion of the bag walls are heat sealed to the outwardly facing strips on the box blank. Thereafter. the front, rear and side walls of the box blank are expanded to form a box.

Abstract: A bulk container for storing, shipping and dispensing liquid and semi-liquid fluids comprises a bin having a sidewall, a closed bottom, and an open top. The sidewall comprises a plurality of interconnected sidewall panels extending at an angle with respect to one another. A lid is covering the open top of the bin and having a discharge opening therethrough adjacent one side edge thereof. A fluid-containing bag is supported in the bin and a discharge valve is on an upper end of the bag where the discharge valve is positioned to extend through the discharge opening.

Abstract: An ultrasonic sealing device for a top fin of a gable-topped carton includes two jaws consisting of a jaw (2) with a planar active face and constituting the outer end portion of an ultrasonic horn (A1) and a jaw (6) constituting an anvil and having an active surface (10) which is planar except for upper and lower linear ribs (12) and (14) each extending the length of the surface (10). The lower rib (14) is linear and horizontal except for an upwardly bowed middle portion (16). The two jaws (2) and (6) serve to render gas-and-liquid tight a top fin of a conventional, plastics-coated paperboard, gable-top carton. The ribs (12) and (14) produce, in the outer surface of one of the outer sealing panels of the fin, corresponding furrows which extend over the whole length of the fin at levels where the inner sealing panels are sandwiched between the outer sealing panels, so as to seal the top fin in a gas- and liquid-tight manner along its whole length.

Abstract: A package for shipping and displaying bottles of beverage vertically upright. A rectangular box is provided for receiving and holding a bottle therein. The box is formed from a top and bottom panels connecting to side panels and front and back support members at the top and bottom of the box. An additional longitudinal member extending along the top at the rear of the box supports the bottle neck with a moveable bar or rod extending across the body of the bottle through a hole in the side panel abutting and engaging a slot or depression formed in the opposing side panel. A retaining means such as a peg or lock secures the rod from moving.

Elements such as catches (122) associated with the slide card cooperatively engage elements such as catches (240) associated with the outer sleeve (200). The cooperative engagement of the respective catches provides a child-resistant feature and a spill-resistant feature. A release button (224) disengages the child-resistant feature. The horizontal orientation of the injectables provides easy access for a user who has limited dexterity as well as sufficient area to apply graphics.

Abstract: A container suitable for storage of food and drink items is disclosed that allows for a quick visual check of whether the container has been properly and completely packed. The container also can be easily and inexpensively constructed from a single sheet of fiberboard. The container includes a base, wall sections, and a lid that is hingedly connected to one of the wall sections. The lid can include a handle and an aperture that allows the top of a drink bottle to extend out of the container. This provides a way to quickly verify the contents of the container.

Abstract: A box sealing belt includes two sealing bands, a gap band and two fastening ears. The two sealing bands are substantially in parallel with each other. The gap band is interconnected between the two sealing bands to form two opposing concave slots therebetween. Abstract: A collapsible container for holding popcorn that is comprised of a front panel, a rear panel, and gusseted side panels. The front and rear panels have pockets mounted at the base of the container. The container also includes carrying handles incorporated into the top of the front and rear panels. The container also contains a releasably sealable opening that maybe sealed by a number of different methods and mechanisms. When the container is open, the user may add a topping, and then seal and shake the container in order to distribute the flavoring agent. Additionally, the user may seal the container, thereby trapping heat so as to maintain an elevated temperature for the popcorn. The resealable opening will also prevent accidental spillage of the popcorn. A fill line is located on the interior of the container in order to allow the user to know how much popcorn to put into the container such that it can still be easily closed.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method of preparing a web of flexible material for production of receptacles for packaging. The method comprises the steps of feeding a web of flexible material past a succession of stations in which operations are carried out on the web including defining blanks for receptacles having walls and tabs by creating fold lines in the web, and then laminating a film of heat-sealable plastics materials to a face of the web of the flexible material. The film of heat-sealable plastics provides a heat-sealable surface on the web for bonding tabs of each blank together to form seams between adjacent walls whereby the blanks, when severed from the web, can be erected to form receptacles having openings to receive items to be packaged.

Abstract: A versatile packaging box for products, which can be folded into a book cover or an envelope for the contained book, is disclosed. On its front, rear, left and right vertical panels a folding line whose position is adapted to the thickness of the contained book is respectively provided. The front, rear, left and right vertical panels are provided with foldable end panels. The height of the part of the left and right vertical panels above the fold line and below the end panel and the length of end panel add up to the length of the front cover of said book. When the end panel is folded onto the inner side of the rear and front vertical panels, the height of the part of the rear and front vertical panel above the fold line and below the end panel is equal to the width of the front cover of said book. The packaging box has the advantages as follows: making full use of the used packaging box, beautifying and protecting the contained book, and reducing waste.

Abstract: A cigarette box has a V-shaped notch (6) cut in an edge of a top wall thereof, a push-pull wall (8) forming one side wall thereof, and a fin-shaped knob (10) provided on the outer surface of the push-pull wall (8). Abstract: A folded food carton is formed from a matable, lay flat blank for retaining, transporting and serving hot food such as pizza. The blank includes an arrangement of end panels, side panels and cover panels foldable relative to a bottom panel such that, in the erected carton, the cover panels overlap and are interlocked with the side panels by means of offset locking tabs. The end panels slant upwardly and inwardly from the bottom panel to add rigidity and save material for the carton. The side panels flare upwardly and outwardly from the bottom panel and extend above the cover panels to enhance stackability and prevent shifting of stacked cartons one on top of the other. Several methods of packaging pizza in the folded carton are disclosed.

Abstract: A container for safely storing potentially injurious implements such as scalpel blades, hypodermic needles, etc., comprises a plurality of wall panels forming an enclosure. The container includes a top closure panel hingedly attached to one wall panel of the container, the top closure panel extending angularly inwardly into the container toward the opposite wall panel and forming a trough-like receiving chamber with the opposite container wall for initially receiving implements to be stored therein. Stop means are formed on the container for limiting upward angular rotation of the top closure panel to maintain the closure panel at a pre-determined angle. Once received in the trough-like chamber, the implements will drop into the interior of the container by pushing downwardly on the top closure panel.

Abstract: A container for and medical implements comprises a plurality of wall panels to form an enclosure. The container includes a top closure hingedly joined along a top edge of a wall panel. The top closure includes a distal edge projecting into the hollow interior of the enclosure. The width of the top closure is greater than the width of the corresponding enclosure opening to form a trough-like receiving chamber for initially receiving implements to be stored in. The implements can simply be released into the trough-like receiving chamber and thence cause to drop into the hollow interior by pushing down the top closure.
