Abstract: A top closure arrangement for a container having opposed pairs of major and minor side wall panels forming a tubular structure and including opposed pairs of inner and outer closure flaps joined to upper end edges of the side wall panels with the inner closure flaps each having foldably joined to opposite sides thereof support tabs formed from material cut from adjacent portions of said outer closure flaps and folded downwardly for engagement with adjacent surfaces of related side wall panels to help support the inner closure flaps when they are in a closed position.

Abstract: A carton for packaging ice cream and the like is disclosed comprising a receptacle, including front, bottom, rear, and cover panels hingely connected in series. The cover panel includes a closure flap having means for securing to the front panel. The panels include left and right end flaps hingely connected to the respective panels. The end flaps are dimensioned to form a substantially sealed right and left ends of the carton. Hinge line shoulders formed inwardly are provided for lateral support to the bottom panel end flaps in the folded position and prevent the end flaps from folding in further into the carton from a substantially perpendicular position with the bottom panel. The front and rear edges of the bottom panel end flaps are tapered such that they engage with the hingeline shoulders in the erected position and prevents bowing to the front and rear panels of the carton.

Abstract: A divided cell container and blank for making it, the container formed from paperboard, particularly corrugated paperboard. The specific improvement of this invention relates to the addition of alignment panels to the divider panel. These added alignment panels insure that when the container blank is folded in forming the container, the divider panel will be aligned with respect to the edges of the remainder of the blank and thus will be properly positioned in the erected container. The container may be closed or may be open at its upper end.
