Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for consumer goods. The container comprises a lid pivotable, about a hinge line extending across a back wall of the container, between a closed position and an open position. The container also comprises a box (102), having an opening, comprising at least one slit (108), the or each slit located at respective edges of a front wall of the box, extending from the opening. The lid (104) is mounted on the box (102) such that it coincides with the opening of the box whereby, in a closed position of the lid, the lid engages with the at least one slit (108) of the box to retain the lid in a closed position. The invention also extends to providing a single laminar blank for forming the aforementioned container.

The plurality of panels at least a first side panel and a second side panel. At least one end flap is connected to the first side panel. The end flap is for folding relative to the first el to at least partially close an end of the carton. At least one locking flap is connected to the at least one end flap. A locking aperture is in the second side r receiving at least a portion of the locking flap when the end flap at least forms the closed end of the carton.

Abstract: A collapsible carton which is formed from a single cardboard blank which when formed from the blank is capable of being folded between a folded flat condition and an erect condition whereby when in the erect condition the carton has a floor (11) and four side panels (12, 13, 14 and 15) to define a generally rectangular prismatic shaped space, wherein the floor panel is formed of a single panel and the junction between the floor and each of the side panels is defined by a closed fold line therebetween, a pair of opposed first side panels (12 and 13) having a pair of diagonal fold lines (21 and 22), extending from the junction between the sides of the floor and the sides of the respective first side panel and converging to terminate at a transverse central axis of the first side panel said diagonals being substantially perpendicular to each other.

In this case, since the flap portions (31) are welded to the specified panel portions (27a), and the end-surface portion is thus made substantially flat, a sufficiently large flat area can be secured on the end-surface portion.

Abstract: A single corrugated cardboard blank which when folded forms a hollow elongated prism. The carrying case includes side panels connected at side fold lines to opposing sides of a central panel, and upper and lower panels are connected by fold lines to opposing ends of the central panel and the side panels. The upper and lower panels form a substantially flat base when the blank is in the folded position. A side flap is further connected by a side fold line to one of the side panels. The side flap includes projecting tabs which communicate with slits in the central panel when the blank is folded. Also, the side flap is substantially a same shape as the side panels and the central panel, but may also be slightly wider than the side panels.

Abstract: In a container such as a cardboard container for packaging milk which comprises sidewalls, a bottom flap and a top flap as well as an ear to be folded down around a folding edge for forming a pouring spout the problem is encountered that, for opening the container, an outer portion of the ear has to be cut away and, after opening the container, no reclosure is possible, but the pouring spout remains open and may be a source of pollution.In order to obviate this problem the ear of the inventive container comprises a socket member projecting from the ear at the surface thereof adjacent to the folding edge and facing a sidewall of the container, and there is an aperture provided in the facing sidewall for receiving the socket member. In this manner, the socket member forms a reclosable pouring spout of the container.

Abstract: A corrugated, lightweight, foldably collapsible container for storing infectious waste in first and second storage positions is disclosed. The container comprises a collapsible receptacle having a foldably sealed bottom portion and a plurality of side panels forming an upwardly opening receptacle for receiving and containing waste therein. The container further has a top portion integrally formed with the receptacle, the top portion being operable to foldably form a spout portion for receiving waste therethrough, and also operable to quickly and foldably close into a first storage position for temporary storage of its contents, and to foldably close into a second storage position to facilitate more permanent storage of the waste contained therein, and further to facilitate safe movement of the container. In a preferred embodiment the container also incorporates a leak-proof removable plastic bag acting as a liner to further provide additional protection against leaks of the contents of the container.

Abstract: A container blank particularly suitable for carrying liquids formed from a paperboard web fed in from a roll, the upper and lower edges of which are provided with short cut lines along the score lines forming the side panels. The method for obtaining such as blank consists of a set of rectilinear cut lines spaced apart from each other in correspondence of said upper and lower edges executed at the same time as said short cut lines or during a following stage, the lips defined by short cut lines and by score lines parallel to the edges being folded over and brought into contact with the corresponding panels simultaneously with the carrying out of short cut lines or later after the side seaming of the blank; in this way the container can selectively exhibit different types of top and bottom end closures.

Abstract: A package made out of a sheet material like paper, cardboard, etc., and with a welded-seam closure in the upper surface, especially a parallelepipedal package for liquid, made out of a material that is a composite of paper and plastic and having folded triangular flaps that can be folded down against the walls. In order to provide a package that is even easier to open and that in particular will be cheaper to manufacture with respect to the costs of materials, at least one side of the welded-seam closure has a thickening that facilitates ripping into it or ripping it out.

Abstract: A self-erecting end-loading top-dispensing container which is convertible from a substantially flattened configuration for shipping the empty container into an erected box-like configuration for loading product into the container and for shipping loaded containers. By removing a tear-away portion of the top panel, the container is convertible into a tray having an open top for dispensing product. Connecting webs join the end closures of the container to the front and rear side walls, preserving the structural integrity of the container when the removable top is torn away.

Abstract: A disposable cat litter box comprising a single sheet of stiff paperboard which is folded and perforated for assembly into an open top, generally rectangular cat litter box is disclosed. The box is prepackaged with cat litter and may be assembled to form a cat litter box. The box preferably includes a horizontally extending bottom attached to upwardly extending side and end walls. The side and end walls having foldable portions which may be folded over and sealed to define a substantially rectangular closed box. For use, the upper portions of the side and end walls are unfolded and positioned substantially perpendicular to the bottom portion. End flaps on the side and end walls may be folded inwardly forming a rigid perimeter defining an open, generally rectangular box. After use, the side and end walls may be collapsed and folded over to enclose the cat litter for disposal.
