Abstract: A construct for holding at least one article. The construct comprises a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the construct. The plurality of panels can at least partially form a corner of the construct. The construct further comprises locking features for at least partially interlocking the construct with a separate construct. The locking features can comprise at least a locking tab and an engagement aperture, and the locking tab can be proximate the engagement aperture at the corner of the construct.

Abstract: A one-piece container includes a single sheet of corrugated material, including: four walls, a bottom, and a lid, the lid being hingedly and integrally connected to one of the four walls. The bottom and the four walls define a storage area for housing articles therein. The lid is configured to transition between an open position, an intermediate position, and a closed position. The one-piece container includes a mechanism for maintaining the lid in a closed position. In some embodiments, the mechanism biases the lid toward a closed position when in the closed position, an open position when in the open position, and an intermediate position when in the intermediate position. In other embodiments, the mechanism includes tabs and slots for retaining the lid in the closed position. Other embodiments include a combination of these features. The container may be a cardboard box.

Abstract: A confectionery container (10) has a main body (12) defining an inner volume in which articles can be held. A closure member or lid (14) is pivotably attached to the main body for movement between an open position in which articles within the inner volume can be dispensed and a closed position in which the articles are retained within the container. To assist the user in opening and closing the container, an over-center mechanism (34) is provided which is configured to bias the lid (14) towards the open and closed positions. The container (10) is preferably formed from a unitary blank of foldable material (48) and the over-center mechanism may comprise two co-operating panels (36, 40) connected between the main body (12) and the lid (14). A blank (48) for forming the container and a method of dispensing articles from the container are also disclosed.

Abstract: An octagonal shaped foldable box having a flap locking system. The foldable box includes: eight sidewall sections; a pair of opposing locking flaps extending from two of the eight sidewall sections, each opposing locking flap having a generally trapezoidal shaped tab cut therein for locking a first opposed locking flap with a second opposed locking flap; and a pair of opposing interior flaps, wherein each opposing interior flap extends from three of the eight sidewall sections, and wherein each opposing interior flap includes a first and a second flap edge, and each flap edge includes a fold-over region for forming a sealed corner with two sidewall sections.

Abstract: An embellishment setting device capable of setting a variety of types and sizes of embellishments. The embellishment setting device may include a first lever, a second lever and at least one adjustable segment with a plurality of impact surfaces. The embellishment setting device may also include first and second adjustable segments, where both adjustable segments have a plurality of impact surfaces and wherein the compression of the proximal ends of the first and second levers causes one of the plurality of impact surfaces of the first adjustable segment to bear against one of the plurality of impact surfaces of the second adjustable segment. The embellishment setting device may also include one or more depth gauges and associated extendable hole punches.

Abstract: A display tray formed from corrugated or solid fiber paper is useful for packaging, shipping, displaying and transportation of various goods. The tray includes a planar bottom which has a central and two extreme sections formed by a pair of parallel score lines. Opposing ends and sides are joined to the bottom and each side includes a pair of vertical and angular score lines which intersect proximate the bottom score lines for folding purposes. The tray can be easily changed from an open to either a partially or fully closed tray by manually bending along the sides at the described score lines to rotate the end assemblies.

Abstract: A tray-like, shallow carton (9) has angled corners and struts (34, 40) that reinforce the load bearing capacity of the carton. End closure flaps (20, 22, 24/25, 26/27) which become end walls of the carton have a pair of closure tabs (42) and sealing tabs (44) that cover and seal the angled corners of the carton (9). The carton (9) may be formed from a rectilinear blank (8) that contains all of the elements of the carton within the rectilinear perimeter of the blank (8). In another embodiment, a blank (208) and carton (209) have a corner structure which includes a tucking tab (248) lying between closure (242) and sealing (244) tabs. In the erected carton (209) the tucking tab (248) and closure tab (242) are pushed into the recess of each respective corner.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reclosable cuboid pack made from plastic foil, especially for receiving paper handkerchiefs, with a front wall, rear wall, narrow side walls, top wall and bottom wall, the top wall adjoining the rear wall in one piece and being foldable in the direction of the front wall in order to close the pack, and the top wall being connected to the side walls by means of respective inwardly foldable side tabs. According to the invention, provision is made for the side tabs (18) each to have at least one predetermined or prefolded folding line (23, 25, 27) starting from a respective corner point (20) between the rear wall, top wall (16) and side wall.

Abstract: A one-piece, collapsible, tray type, paperboard container with one or more truncated corners, each of which includes a pair of vertical side walls, with adjacent ends spaced from each other and interconnected by a three-piece gusset. The gusset includes first and second sections, foldably joined to each of the side walls, and a corner section, foldably joined to each side section. The corner section is folded in face-to-face relation with one of the side sections and positioned against an inner surface of one of side walls in interlocking engagement therewith.

Abstract: A kitty litter box is made of cardboard, plastic or other disposable material and can be folded outwardly to an open position for use as a tray to hold kitty litter or other absorbent material for use by cats, and folded inwardly to a closed box after being used and ready for disposal at which time both the box and its contents are discarded. The two opposite side walls of the box each include a diagonal slit at about the midsection of each side wall with a plurality of score lines or fold lines positioned in relation to each diagonal slit which enable a portion of the midsection of each side wall to flex and fold inwardly when the two outer portions are folded along a pair of spaced apart lateral score lines or fold lines in the bottom wall. The two outer portions are folded or pivoted in an arcuate path toward each other whereby one of the outer portions of the box is received within the opposite outer portion. The box is thus folded or pivoted from its open position to a closed position.

Abstract: A container including a one-piece folded body. The container includes a central portion divided into a bottom section, a rear section and a top section. First and second foldable hinges extend across the central section, substantially parallel to each other. The first and second hinges separate the bottom section from the rear section and the rear section from the top section, respectively. A side section adjoins the central section and is foldable along a first foldable crease perpendicular to the first and second hinges. The first foldable crease separates the side section from a bottom side section, rear section from a rear side section and the top section from a top side section. A crease is formed in the rear side section. A crease is also formed in the top side section. The creases in the rear and top side sections are substantially parallel to each other.

Abstract: A litter box or container holds granulated litter material for an animal's use and is configurable between the shape of a rectanguloid closed container confining the litter material and an open bin or tray in which the litter material is disposed for use. An arrangement of deformable and foldable wall portions in the container permits reconfiguration without removal of the litter material, permitting easy transportation, use and disposal as a unit. The container is formed of sheet material containing fold lines. The fold lines alternately define within the sheet material a closed package that has an essentially square shaped cross section along at least one axis of said cavity and an open tray, the tray having upstanding continuous side walls defining an open cavity, with the volume of the tray cavity being at least twice as large as that of the alternate configuration as a packaage. Litter material is disposed within said container and is carried between the two configurations.
