Abstract: A planter packaging arrangement is disclosed that comprises a packaging element and at least one planter mounter therein. The packaging element includes a bottom surface, a top surface and two pairs of opposing side walls collectively defining a generally enclosed space. A first opening is defined through the top surface and aligned with a second opening defined through the bottom surface of the packaging element. The at least one planter is mounted within the packaging element, with an open top end disposed within the enclosed space of the packaging element. The second opening is aligned with the open top end such that an interior of the planter is accessible through the second opening of the bottom surface of the packaging element. A portion of the body portion extends through the first opening of the top surface of the packaging element such that the bottom surface is disposed above the top surface.

Abstract: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a package can include a three-sided body formed of three or more body panels and an autobottom connected to the three-sided body and formed of three or more bottom panels extending from a respective body panel of the plurality of the three or more body panels. The autobottom can connect all of the three or more body panels together in a triangular shape when the three or more bottom panels are interacting with each other.

Abstract: Plastic corrugated reusable boxes are provided. Two opposite side panels 12 erected from a blank over fold lines 18 at bottom panel edges; said side panel 12 having flaps 20 attached on either side folded inward and interlocked with flaps 22 folded inward from the opposite side. Narrow flaps 32 attached to top edges of said side panels 12 folded inward and flat. The rest two opposite side panels 14 erected over fold lines at rest bottom panel edges; top flaps 30 attached to the rest two side panels 14 folded inward covering the top surface. Interlocked flaps 20 and 22 are standing underneath top flaps 30 and alongside two opposite side panels 14. Lock tabs 40 attached to top flaps 20 folded down and inserted into said lock slots embedded in narrow flaps 22 alongside side panels 12 top edges.

Abstract: A box is made by folding a sheet of material. Preferably, the box is formed by applying adhesive and folding using a machine, and a waterproof or water-resistant coating is applied to the sheet of material so that the box is configured for use as a cooler. The box includes: a storage portion, including a bottom panel, first and second end panels, and first and second side panels; four corner panels; and first and second top panels. The top panels include openings that register when the box is assembled and in a closed configuration to define an opening to be used as a handhold for gripping the box. Reinforcing panels of one of the top panels includes flaps located on an interior of the box that cover the handhold opening. The box further preferably includes a locking tab and locking panel for latching closed the top panels of the box.

Abstract: Blanks for forming two-compartment containers and the resulting containers are described herein. The container includes a tray and four closure flaps hingedly connected thereto. The closure flaps can be closed to enclose food or other substances therein, or opened to provide access to and removal of the tray contents. The tray is separated into two compartments by an interior partition. Generally, each compartment is liquid tight. Each compartment includes a bottom, three sidewalls, one partition wall, and four corners; each corner is adjacent to a folded gusset. Two opposing sidewalls are located on a first set of opposing sides of the bottom and a third sidewall and the partition wall are located on a second set of opposing dies of the bottom. Each folded gusset generally adheres to an adjacent sidewall. In at least one compartment, each opposing sidewall contains an extension portion that adheres to its adjacent opposing sidewall.

Abstract: A food receptacle having a tray with a base, a perimeter wall extending therefrom, and a tongue extending from the perimeter wall along a longitudinal axis and a cover adapted to cover the tray. Cover has an opening adapted to receive the tongue therethrough, such that the tongue is inserted through the opening when the tray is covered by the cover. Tongue may include a protrudable portion adapted to protrude away from the longitudinal axis. When protruded, the protrudable portion is adapted to abut the cover. When the tray is covered by the cover, the protrudable portion may be protruded over the top panel to prevent the tongue from being withdrawn from the opening.

The first base portion includes a first coupling portion. The second base portion includes a second coupling portion. The first and second coupling portions are configured to define a priming configuration of the coupling system when the first and second coupling portion are engaged to each other. The slit is defined on the first base portion or the second base portion and is configured to receive an opening device. The opening device is configured to disengage the first and second coupling portions. The closing septum is adjustable to a first or second configuration. In the first configuration, the closing septum occludes the slit. In the second configuration, the closing septum is configured to expose the slit.

Abstract: A package for accommodating products comprises a first portion hingedly connected to a first side of a rear panel, a second portion hingedly connected to a second side of the rear panel, the second side being opposite to the first side. At least one of the first and second portion comprises at least one recess adapted to accommodate a product. The first portion, the second portion and the rear panel at least partly form a receptacle adapted for accommodating said at least one recess. The first portion and the second portion are movable between an open state of the package in which the at least one recess is accessible to a user and a closed state of the package in which the at least one recess is inaccessible to a user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a carton constructed from a single blank of paperboard material featuring an auto-erecting bottom. The carton includes first through eighth sides panels, a glue flap attached along a fold line to a first side edge of the first side panel, a first bottom flap attached along a fold line to a bottom edge of the second side panel, and a second bottom flap attached along a fold line to a bottom edge of the sixth side panel. The carton includes a first bottom folding assembly attached to a bottom edge of the third and fourth side panels, a second bottom folding assembly attached to a bottom edge of the seventh and eighth side panels, a third bottom folding assembly attached to the first side panel, and a fourth bottom folding assembly attached to the fifth side panel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a foldable carton blank that, when folded, forms a carton having a partition wall for segregating products within the carton. The partition wall member may be hingedly attached to a front panel of the carton such that the partition wall member may be unattached from the front panel and extended across the bottom panel of the carton to form two compartments within the carton. A slot in the rear panel of the carton may secure an end portion of the partition wall member when the partition wall member extends across the bottom panel of the carton to form the two compartments within the carton.

Abstract: A clamshell container having a cover portion and a tray portion connected by a living hinge wherein the corners of the sidewalls in at least the tray portion are perforated or scored to permit easy separation by a user to create a substantially flat serving tray is described.

Abstract: There is described herein a disposable clam shell food service container having a continuous sidewall which includes a novel flex-hinge panel between the lid and bottom of the container. This construction permits the container to open easily when the lid is pushed upwardly resulting in a flat tray like configuration devoid of the typical upstanding median wall or divider and which may be used as a serving plate by the consumer. The container may be easily snapped closed and locked to allow later consumption of any uneaten food products. Several additional embodiments of the invention are also presented, all of which include a continuous sidewall which ensures that the food product will remain warm and one of several lock means to secure the container in its closed condition. A triangular form of the container is also described for serving of pizza, pies and similar shaped food products.

Abstract: Various arrangements for a flexible package for articles of footwear or other items are presented. The flexible package generally includes a lightweight flexible package sized to accommodate a pair of shoes. The flexible package may also include a removable stiffening insert to aid in maintaining the structure of the flexible package and allow stacking of the package. Further, the flexible package may include one or more handle arrangements. Various closure arrangements may be used with the flexible packaging for footwear, such as an undercut tab arrangement, hook and loop type closure arrangement, rim and lip, and the like.

Abstract: A clamshell style paper board container including a tab-and-slot closure to openably secured the top and bottom halves of the clamshell in a closed position. Unlike conventional designs where the tabs in the bottom half extend from the side walls toward the front of the container, the tabs in the bottom half extend from the front wall toward the sides of the container. Also, a punch in device that can be used to provide a steam hole and/or an indicator of package contents where the punch in device include four generally parallel fold lines extending between two generally parallel perforations. When the punch-in device is punched in by a user, one of the fold lines is moved from: (i) a folded state at a location at a corner between two walls of the container to; (ii) an unfolded state at a location displaced from the corned toward the interior of the container.

In a fully folded carton configuration, the upper portion 50 of the first gusset panel 30 extends above the upper edge 52 of the second gusset panel 32 and is heat sealed to the inside surface of one of the end panels 14 such that the folded carton presents exterior panel surfaces unbroken by gussets. The top panel 20 folds over the cavity C of the folded carton and is secured in closed position by a tuck flap 42 having slot mechanisms 46 which engage with the upward-extending tabs 64 of flap mechanisms 48.

A user may grasp a reclosable flap and move the flap between open and closed positions to effect opening and closure of the container. The reslosable flap may overlay a container lid such that the container lid is kept in a closed position when the reclosable flap overlays the container lid with the reslosable flap in its closed position. The container may be open and closed several times, and a seal may be maintained in the vicinity of the reclosable flap even after multiple uses of the container.

Each side panel supports a foldable top panel with special knockouts and tabs to facilitate subsequent coupling of the panels. Each end panel has a small flap at its outer edge facilitating coupling. Four, integral, diametrically spaced-apart corner panels interconnect the center panel with the end and side panels. Score lines defined between the orthogonally arranged panels facilitate folding. Corner panels include diagonal score lines. The center panel forms a cooler bottom, and the end and side panels respectively form carton ends and sides when foldably deployed.

The depressions in the region of the collar front wall (32) are positioned immediately above a mating closure edge (30) formed by a box front wall (14), with the anchoring tabs (37) arranged appropriately on the lid inner flap (28).

Abstract: A food container formed from a foldable blank of corrugated cardboard into a box-like configuration for transport and/or storage of a food product such as pizza or the like. The container incorporates therein tamper-resistant features adjacent the front corners, including a pair of inwardly foldable locking walls provided on the bottom part of the container which cooperate with upright tabs located on the top part which prevent opening of the container. An additional pair of tabs are provided on the top part of the container which block access to the folded locking walls, which tabs are then removed by the consumer to open the container.

The score line has a ratio of penetration between about 0.1 and about 0.9.

Abstract: Embodiments of a pizza container are described using a container blank formed from a single piece of paperboard material. The container includes a bottom panel, first and second opposing side wall panels, and first and second opposing end wall panels. Each container further includes two top cover panels that fold over onto the container and act as lids. At least one U-shaped cut is formed along a hinge line connecting a top cover panel with an end wall panel. The U-shape has a closed side and an open side. The cut is oriented with the closed side extending into either the first end wall panel or the first top cover panel. The open side is positioned along the first hinge line. As assembled, the U-shaped portion is generally perpendicular with the panel from which it was formed. Various embodiment of lock mechanisms are described as well.

Abstract: A hinged-lid pack for filter cigarettes comprises a box-shaped body and a box-shaped lid. When the lid is shut down, an inner frame that forms a part of the body is covered by the lid. The inner frame includes a raised lug, and an inner front flap of the lid includes an engaging portion that engages the lug. When the lid is on, the engaging portion adjoins the distal end of the lug. When the lid in this state is rocked slightly in the opening direction, the distal end of the lug is held between the engaging portion and the inner surface of the lid.

Abstract: A reclosable container (10) is disclosed comprising a box (12) having an opening and comprising a base panel (20), end panels (22, 24), a back panel (26), a front panel (28) and a lid (14) which is hingedly connected to the box. The lid comprises a top panel (30) and a skirt (16) which incorporates a tamper evident seal, preferably formed as a tear strip (18). When the seal has been broken the lid can pivot between a position in which it closes the box and an open position. The container may be formed from a single sheet and a back folded locking arrangement (60) is incorporated in the container.

Abstract: A latching mechanism is provided for a container such as a card wallet, folder, small box, small carton, etc. having a closure flap or lid overlying another panel of the container. The container is formed of stiff sheet material such as card stock. Interengaging parts of the latching mechanism are an embossed catch rising from a slit in an under panel and a debossed, stamped out, tongue to engage in the slit in the overlying flap.

Abstract: A folder type paperboard container formed from a single piece having a hexagonal bottom wall panel, a rear wall panel, a front wall panel, a pair of side wall panels and a cover panel. The front wall panel includes a tuck that adds strength to the location and also serves as a securing mechanism. The securing mechanism does not extend beyond the front panel. The cover panel includes two depending flaps that cooperate with and are part of the securing mechanism. The folder type container includes an angled front panel arrangement that secures the cover in place, requires less material, and increases the strength of the center front section of the box where it generally is grasped by a handler.
