In one embodiment, when folded, the blank forms an insert with spacers about a quadrant that receives a good to be mailed. In other embodiments, when folded, the blank forms an insert with sleeves into which goods may be slid, or an insert with sleeves with closed ends and into which goods may be inserted into cutouts in the sleeves.

Abstract: Packaging may include a base box comprising cardboard, e.g., cardboard corrugate. Disposed within the base box may be a tray for receiving a product, which also may comprise cardboard. By constructing a base box and tray that both fold flat without destructive means, this type of configuration retains a high-end reception of the end product and product packaging, while encouraging proper recycling once the customer decides to dispose of the packaging.

Abstract: Separable modular container and methods of manufacturing the same are herein disclosed. The separable modular container generally includes a plurality of packages formed from a single die-cut panel. The packages formed from the single die-cut panel are detachable from one another.

Abstract: A stackable open topped box and a blank from which it is folded are provided in which a fluted sheet material is cut and sulcated to form a box The flutes extend parallel to the side walls of the box and up the height of the end walls. Each side wall has an indent whereof the ends terminate in a diagonal fold inclined upwardly and towards the adjacent end of the box at an angle of 45°. The fluted sheet material originally adjacent the edge of the indent is folded inwards and downwards as a composite flap such that the flutes of the fluted material are generally vertical and the material extends to substantially the bottom of the box. A strip that is approximately beneath the diagonal fold is flush with the inside of the side wall of the box.

The packages may include containers housed within a housing, which may include at least one viewable area in a wall of the housing to allow a consumer to see through at least a portion of the housing. The containers may also include at least one viewable area in a wall of the containers and the location of the viewable area may correspond to a location of the viewable area of the housing. The containers may also be connected such that the containers may be removed from the housing, rotated about a hinged connection, and placed on a shelf for storage.

An outer top flap has an end extending over the roll-over flaps, and the end is free of attachment to the roll-over flaps. The top flaps are removed with the removable cover base. In one embodiment a flange extends inwardly over an edge of the display opening to keep packages from falling out.

In a specific embodiment one of the walls leans in more than the other. According to a further aspect, an indexing and aligning tab extends upwardly from an upper edge of the container, and a complementary notch is formed in a lower edge for receiving the tab when the containers are stacked.

In addition, the tray of the invention requires less corrugated board or other packaging material than the typical prior art 8-sided case.

The filler tray generally includes a bottom filler, a back filler, and two side fillers that assemble together to define an opened top enclosure adapted to contain one or more high cost product packages. The filler trays may be palletized in standard configuration and may be assembled from the unitary blank cut from a single sheet of corrugated fiberboard.

A rear wall connects to the base and the cover while a front wall positioned opposite the rear wall has a height smaller than the rear wall. The accessory holding structure has at least one accessory holder wherein the at least one accessory holder integrally positions an accessory between the cover and the base. The method of containing comprises rotating an accessory holding structure over a base while placing an accessory in at least one accessory holder positioned in the accessory holding structure. Then the cover is rotated over the accessory to enclose the accessory between the base and the cover.

Abstract: A container for distribution and display of goods is convertible from a first configuration for distribution into a second configuration for display. The conversion is accomplished by removing a front cover panel. The front cover panel may be attached to the container using a variety of methods, including a perforated score line, a tear-away strip, adhesives, tapes, or a combination of these methods. When the front cover panel is removed for retail display, an access opening is uncovered, allowing users to easily view and access the contents of the container. The front cover panel may further cover graphics and text provided along the front of the container so that the graphics and text are not marred or otherwise damaged during distribution. In addition, the front cover panel may be provided with distribution information thereon, which is unimportant to an end user such as a retail customer and is easily removed for display of the container.
