Abstract: A convertible device that converts between an activity mat and a storage container to capture and store numerous articles. Upon reclosing the activity mat, the articles are recaptured into the storage container. The device includes walls and a base, webbing connected between each adjacent wall pair, and a joint connected between the base and walls so that they are foldable into a third configuration wherein the footprint of the folded device is roughly the size of the base. In the third configuration, the walls are stacked relative to the base. The convertible device may further include two zippers for releasably holding the walls in a rigid and upright position in the first configuration. The webbing can be inwardly biased such that when the walls are urged from the second to the first configuration, the webbing folds toward the interior of the convertible device.

Abstract: Disclosed are reclosable and stackable food trays formed from a single blank that are capable of being folded and glued on standard machinery. Embodiments of the invention include raised gussets that extend beyond the top edge of the side panels of the formed tray and beyond the top of the formed tray. In some embodiments, the raised gussets help prevent distortion in all dimensions and facilitate the stacking of multiple trays on top of one another such that the stacked trays cannot slide off the lower tray.

Each of the flaps includes a first flap portion and a second flap portion, and before final assembly, the first flap portion is connected to a first side plate and the second flap portion is connected to the first flap portion, bent with respect to the first flap portion and affixed to one of the second side plates.

The box consists of a first set and a set of panels that are assembled to form the foldable box. The first set of panels includes at least six panels that are foldably coupled in a predefined sequence. The first set includes a top panel, bottom panel, a pair of side panels, a lip panel and a securing panel. The first set of panels forms a single piece construction to which the side panels of the second set of panels are coupled with triangular inward connectors.

The covers and/or tray inserts include one or more features that result in one or more of the following benefits: improved performance during or after assembly of a tray, improved ease of assembling a tray, or improved appearance of a tray, or any combination thereof. The features can be used alone. However, a number of the features, when combined, result in particularly robust assembly processes.

Abstract: A basket-style concession carrier includes four receiving cells for receiving tapered beverage containers, the receiving cells being positioned two each on the front and rear side of a composite handle, and further includes a first pair of spacer strips that extend from the handle to a front panel and a second pair of spacer strips that extend from the handle to a rear panel. Each pair of spacer strips defines a purposeful void that separates and cushions adjacent containers positioned at a different relative elevation and spaced apart from a side panel at a different distance, so that one of the receiving cells on each side of the handle is larger than the other, and both receiving cells are larger than the void. The carrier further includes two base supports each defined as an invertible strip extending along an opposing corner to further restrict lateral movement of the container.

Abstract: A packaging carton for wet food such as meat and fish is made of a triple ply lamination, the top and bottom plies being plastic sheet, the intermediate ply being of carton material such as paperboard but in variants the ply is made of fluted board, honeycomb matrix or side by side thin walled tubes. The intermediate ply is cruciform allowing the corners to be rectangular areas of plastic plies joined together. These form, diagonal fold flaps which are adhered to the cruciform blank to form a fold flat carton precursor. A lid is constructed in the same manner and overlies the carton to form a container which withstands tape wrapping.

A fold over cup panel is attached to the front panel opposite the bottom panel. The cup panel does not include additional panels or tabs opposite the front panel. An optional cup receptacle is formed in the cup panel. As fanned, the front panel, back panel opposed side panels and plurality of corner panels are hingedly attached to said bottom panel via unperforated score lines.

An alternative lid has flaps comprising major and minor segments separated by a diagonal fold line. The minor segment has an apex that releasably biases the flap in engagement with the end panel, yieldably locking the lid.

The second triangular volume is configured to fold over the first triangular volume such that the top panel and second side panels fully enclose the bottom panel and the first side panels. The container is locked by a friction fit between juxtaposed tabs inserted into a slot located between the ends of the intersecting first side panels.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a blank of foldable material that configured to form a container. When formed, the container is completely self-locking. Additionally, when the blank is formed with any number of known liquid-proof sheet material or coatings, the container provides a leak/sift proof structure. Integral, diametrically spaced apart corner panels interconnect the center panel with the other panels. Score lines between the adjacent panels facilitate folding. The center panel forms a cooler bottom, and blank end and side panels respectively form carton ends and sides. Each end panel has an outer locking panel comprising an elongated receptive slot. Each side panel has an integral outer handle panel comprising an inner roof segment that forms the container top and handle segments with locking tabs that are captivated within the receptive slot. A radiused locking tab ramp comprises an enlarged portion providing an overcenter action. Notches adjacent the tabs captivate the locking panels.
