Abstract: A packaging container includes a first clamshell half, a second clamshell half, a connecting portion that connects an edge of the first clamshell with an edge of the second clamshell half, a sealed portion that fastens the first clamshell and the second clamshell to each other, the sealed portion being located at the edge of the packaging container on a side opposite to the connecting portion, and a severed portion that is provided in at least one of the first clamshell and the second clamshell between the sealed portion and a packaged object, which is accommodated in a room created between the first clamshell and the second clamshell when the clamshell halves are fitted to each other, and that is severed off for opening the packaging container.

Abstract: A carton and a blank for forming a carton for holding a plurality of articles, for example bottles, comprising a collapsible tubular corner post formed from an extension of a carton side wall. The corner post is adapted to move from a flat collapsed condition when extending outwardly of the carton to be automatically erected by folding the corner post inwardly.

Abstract: A combination closure tape and tear strip, an object comprising the combination closure tape and tear strip, and a method of sealing and later opening said object utilizing the combination closure tape and tear strip are disclosed.

Abstract: A package is composed of an inner box accommodating an inner content and an outer packing member essentially formed of a plastic film layer and adapted to wrap the inner box so as to have end portions to be bonded in a projecting manner through a heat sealing process. A pair of notches are formed to an end edge portion of the bonded end portions of the outer packing member and the packing member is provided with an easily opening portion at a portion near a base portion of one of the projected bonded end portions so as to correspond to the paired notches. In another aspect, a carton package comprises a carton body having an opened end, a pair of lid pieces formed integrally with the carton body and a carton tape applied to mating end edge portions of the lid pieces when closed, the carton tape having a tearing portion, from which the carton tape is easily torn, formed so as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the carton tape at a central portion in a width direction thereof.

Abstract: The provision of an easily laterally opened type paper container includes: a paper base material which is made of material having thermoplastic resin layers on both sides thereof; an opening piece which is formed of a resin film, and sandwiched and bonded between an upper piece and a lower piece of an overlap width portion of the paper base material which is overlapped and laminated on each other with a picking length; a notch portion defined in the upper piece of said overlap width portion in correspondence with both ends of said opening piece laterally; and an oriented polyolefine film having such a characteristic that an orientation magnification of the film in one direction is larger than that in a direction orthogonal to the one direction, which is stacked on an inner surface of the paper container material in such a manner that the one direction having the larger orientation magnification coincides with an opening direction of the paper container.

Abstract: In a package, especially a pouch package, with a covering made of a flat foldable packaging material in which the inner sides of two strip-like edge regions are sealed together in a joining region to form the covering, there is a strip-like tear region in the package covering which starts from one of the two strip-like edge regions, extends substantially prependicularly thereto and has notches or linear punched-out regions only within the strip-like edge region. Here, at the beginning of the rear region between the two strip-like edge regions, there is a tab of flat material which is firmly secured to the edge region from which the tear region starts and is secured detachably or not at all to the other edge region, while the remainder of the flat of the tab projects beyond the edge of the edge region.

Abstract: A bundling tape has two rows of perforations extending from one end of the tape to the other; the perforations are arranged inward of and substantially parallel to the edges. A first band is formed between one edge and a first row of perforations, and a second band is formed between the other edge and the second row of perforations; between the two rows of perforations is a center band tear strip. The bands have co-planar upper and lower surfaces. A laminated bundling tape embodiment also has an additional zipper tape attached to the lower surface of the center band, and apparatus and methods are described for making this laminated tape. Bundles of material, such as wallboard, are fastened together by adhering the bottom surface of the first band to the uppermost sheet of material, and by adhering the bottom portion of the second band to the lowermost sheet.

Abstract: A package consisting in an article packaged by a packaging film exhibiting heat shrinkability is disclosed. The packaging film has its wrapping terminal end formed with a protuberant tearing tab, and a severing tape is bonded to the inner surface of the film for extending from the distal end of the tearing tab along the entire length of the film along the article wrapping direction. The severing tape has a width lesser than the width of the tearing tab and is formed of a material having heat shrinkage percentage lower than that of the film. The tearing tab has its distal end reduced in width for reducing the allowance for heat fusion. For reducing the allowance for heat fusion, the distal end of the tearing tab is semi-circular in contour. The distal end of the severing tape substantially in register with the center sealing region of the film is designed as a non-fusing region to facilitate the exfoliation of the severing tape.

Abstract: A folding pack (10) is produced from a single foil sheet (12) which is so folded round an article to be packaged and is so closed that the article is surrounded by it on all sides in an airtight manner. The closure is obtained by means of an adhesive bonding of the in each case mutually opposite edge regions of the foil sheet which laterally frame the inner region of the foil sheet. According to the invention, two mutually opposite edge regions (26, 28) each have at least one not permanently adhesive region (50, 60, 72, 74), these regions being located one above the other (24) in the state folded together to form a folding pack (10), and one of these two edge regions (50, 72) is partially separated materially along its peripheral line (54, 70, 52) from the remaining edge region (26).

Abstract: A soft pack for paper tissues is disclosed. Soft packs for paper tissues which have a reclosable tear-open flap (21) are often provided with large-surfaced wide adhesive labels (24) to ensure a better stability. These adhesive labels are made by punching from a web of material (26) corresponding to the width of the adhesive label (24). When the adhesive is applied, an area is left out to form an adhesive-free grip tab (25). The grip tab (25) is colorcoded with an appropriate coating. A marginal strip (31) is left free from the adhesive and free from the colored coating. The punch cut is applied in the region of this strip (31).

Abstract: Tubular obtained from a sheet which has, on its inner surface, in contact with a product to be wrapped, two longitudinal bands which are coated by a layer of cold-adhesive; the two longitudinal bands are glued to one another with the interposition of an end portion of a tear-strip, the opposite surfaces whereof are coated by respective layers of cold-adhesive.
