Abstract: A plastic film punching apparatus is improved to make a waste removed reliably. In the apparatus, a plastic film is sandwiched between and punched by male and female blades. The female blade has opposite surfaces which are first and second surfaces. The plastic film generates a waste which is pushed by the male blade to protrude from the second surface. A vacuum source and an opening cooperate with each other to suck air through the opening and generate airflow within the tubular cover, the waste being removed by the airflow.
Abstract: A power sheet punching apparatus is provided in which a reversing drive operates initially to drive punches through a stack of sheets and thereafter to reverse direction of the drive to withdraw the punches from the sheets. Should the drive be insufficient to drive the punches through the sheets and a jam occurs, an automatic timer operates to thereafter stop the drive and reverse the drive to withdraw the punches from the sheets, thereby providing an automatic non-jamming punch mechanism.
Abstract: An improved interposer punch apparatus including a plurality of elongated punch elements, a head slidably supporting the punch elements, means to urge the punch elements in an extended position, a stripper plate, and a base for supporting a substrate to be punched with apertures for receiving the lower ends of the punch elements, the imrovement being a means in said base for forcibly displacing slugs of material punched from a substrate from the ends of the punch elements following a punching operation.
