Abstract: A concentric multiple tube assembly forms an axial eductor passage for educed ambient air flow unobstructed from the inlet end to the outlet end. Ambient air eduction occurs as a result of ejection of compressed air or compressed air and water via at least one set of compressed air and water ejection orifices oblique to the inner tube sidewall defining the eductor passage and at a skewed trajectory angle such that the compressed air streams attach to the inner tube side wall opposite the orifices ejecting the same via Coanda effect. By wall attachment, a water film on the tube inner wall enhances the cooling effect of the air stream passing therethrough by evaporation thereof. Compressed air and water are delivered to annular chambers within the tubular assembly. Preferably, water mixes with the compressed air in one of the chambers prior to ejection into the eductor passage.
Abstract: A polymeric drift control concentrate is provided for admixture with an aqueous mixture designed for application to vegetation or soil by aerial or ground spraying or discharge. The concentrate reduces the likelihood that the water or aqueous mixture will drift away from its intended target, and suppresses the formation of dust on the ground.

Abstract: Process for the application of plant protectant spray mixtures in which the phospholipid concentrates are applied to open ground, phospholipids being discharged along with commercially available, diluted effective ingredient concentrates and the spray mixtures being formed before discharge from the active ingredient concentrate, water, and the phospholipid concentrate. This process employs packing units which contain the active ingredient concentrate and the appropriate quantity of phospholipid concentrate in separate compartments.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically watering vegetation whereby the water requirement of vegetation is constantly monitored and selectively condensing water vapor out of the atmosphere onto cooled condensation member and collecting the condensed moisture for application onto soil containing vegetation. Various accessories are provided to automatically feed the vegetation and distribute water to the soil containing the vegetation.
Abstract: A housing having an interior chamber with an inlet and outlet thereto is suspended by a crane within a ladle or furnace having an interior refractory surface to be relined. A feed conduit for conveying dry refractory material entrained in an air stream extends through the inlet into the interior chamber. A nozzle assembly having a pair of oppositely positioned spray nozzles is rotatably supported in the outlet of the housing. A conduit of the nozzle assembly is rotatably connected at one end by a coupling to the feed conduit within the housing and communicates with the spray nozzles. Each of the spray nozzles includes a water ring that receives a wetting agent, such as water, from a supply conduit that is connected by a swivel assembly to the nozzles to permit rotation of the nozzles relative to the supply conduit. Each water ring directs the water into mixture with the air entrained dry refractory material flowing through the nozzle.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for facilitating the washing of a person's hands to achieve surgical cleanliness in a simple, effective manner. A transparent hollow sphere has a pair of hand openings formed in it, with a pair of pulsating water jet spray heads mounted on the sphere to direct intersecting sprays of water onto a person's hands placed through the hand openings in the sphere. One spray head is mounted in substantially the same horizontal plane as the hand openings, and between them, and the other spray head is mounted in substantially the same vertical plane as the one spray head, about 60.degree. to 135.degree. around the circumference of the sphere with respect to the one spray head. By operating a foot pedal, water is delivered under pressure to the spray heads which pulse the water onto the person's hands, the water then draining through an opening in the bottom of the sphere to be sewered. A soap dispenser may be provided within the sphere.
Abstract: A substance in a particulate form, e.g. a polyacrylamide flocculant powder, is rapidly dissolved in a liquid, e.g. water by feeding the powder down a circular bore in a casing while the water is fed tangentially and swirled in two chambers in the casing and around the circular bore to emerge in the bore, as oppositely swirling, inwardly converging streams in the path of the powder. The diverging portion of the first stream intersects the converging portion of the second stream, which goes out of the bore with the powder dissolved therein.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing a compound liquid jet of fine droplets, particularly suitable for ink-jet recording systems. A primary stream is formed by ejecting under pressure a primary liquid from a nozzle and then causing the primary stream to traverse a thin layer of a secondary fluid to form a compound liquid stream which breaks up to form a compound jet of fine droplets each containing both the primary liquid and the secondary fluid. Since only the primary liquid passes through the nozzle, it may be chosen to minimize, or even eliminate, nozzle clogging and other difficulties associated with the use of most inks in ink-jet systems. The secondary fluid may contain fine particulate material, e.g., pigments, and it is used to contribute color or other physical properties to the compound jet.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for the topical treatment of vegetation or terrain therefor, comprising expressing a multiplicity of discrete foam structures with the plant agent composition as a spray to provide a treated surface with controlled application of plant agents e.g. using the foam structures as markers.
