When removed from its support the flexible hose extends the reach of the tap, and when mounted in the support it is kept in an orderly position where it does not interfere with e.g. washing and cooking. The tap can be wall or deck mounted. Preferably the channel is U-shaped and has a semi-circular cross section, which conforms to the shape of the hose. The hose may have a spray head at its distal end.

    Abstract: A shower has an elongated C-section holder tube having a laterally open full-length slot open at both ends, a bracket securing the holder tube to the wall, and a shower head. The head has a guide part snugly engageable in and slidable along the holder tube, a narrow neck projecting laterally from the guide part out of the tube through the slot thereof, and a spray part provided with spray holes and mounted on the neck outside the tube. A hose has an inner end connected to the guide part and communicating therethrough with the spray part and an outer end connectable to a source of water under pressure for spraying water from the holes of the spray part. The head is slidable along the holder tube with the hose extending from the guide part inside the holder tube and out of the open end of the holder tube.

    Abstract: A system and method for installing plumbing spouts, such as shower heads and tub spouts, includes providing a stub out which protrudes out of a wall at shower height. A specialized adapter is then slid onto the protruding stub out until the adapter abuts the wall. The adapter is internally threaded with an integral ferrule, and may also be equipped with a one-way gripper ring and an O-ring to sealingly secure the spout to the stub out. The stub out, if closed, is then cut off outside the adapter and a standard shower arm or nipple for a tub spout is threaded into the adapter. A threaded end of the shower arm or nipple engages the ferrule and compresses it against the stub out creating a seal therebetween. When installing a shower head, an escutcheon plate is adapted to be slid over the shower arm to engage peripheral fingers of the adapter to secure the escutcheon in place. A shower head is then threaded onto the shower arm to complete the installation.

    Abstract: A pool filling nozzle is provided with a supporting bracket and a clamp to secure the nozzle to the top of a swimming pool wall or to a pool accessory such as a ladder step, a platform or a diving board. The bracket is L-shaped defining a top horizontal arm on which the nozzle is secured and a vertical arm provided with a central slot. The clamp is also L-shaped and defines a vertical arm in slidable guided contact with the vertical arm of the bracket and a horizontal arm extending substantially parallel and in the same direction to the horizontal arm of the bracket. A tightened releasably tightens the two vertical arms in adjusted position to adjust the spacing between the two horizontal arms. The clamp is reversible. Thus, the nozzle can be clamped to a swimming pool parts of a large range of thickness. The bracket and the clamp are preferably made of thin flexible material so that the two horizontal arms can be opened to easily clip the bracket to the pool part.

A fire hose is secured to the bottom of the waterway to supply water to the fire fighting apparatus. The anchor arm comprises a horizontal portion that fits on top of the window sill of the burning floor to securely suspend the fire fighting apparatus thereon. The anchor arm has a wedge-shaped claw that may be used to break open or to pry open a shut window.

An unlatching element has a surface positioned along the trajectory of flow of the fluid in the hose, in a manner such that the flow of fluid towards the exterior of the hose axially displaces the unlatching element towards an unlatched position in which the mechanical linkage attachment between the hose and the wall is broken. The hose can then pivot towards its position of use to spray the zone of the fire.
