Holder Within Terminal Element Carrying Member Patents (Class 239/315)
  • Patent number: 4222524
Abstract: A mixer chamber is connected in series with the outlet pipe of a shower head to reduce water temperature variations in the outlet water, dispensed at the shower head, due to temperature variations in the water supply. The chamber includes an inlet pipe having a plurality of small holes to provide a uniform spray to mix with the contents of the chamber. An outlet pipe connects the mixture from the chamber to the shower head. The chamber is in the form of a cylindrical container with the pipes connected to diametrically opposed sides and has removable end caps to provide access to the interior. A hollow cup-like device is installed within the chamber, having the interior portions thereof coupled to the outlet pipe.

  • Patent number: 4171169
Abstract: A portable washer of lightweight and economical construction is characterized by a body portion having a handle for being held by a user thereof. The body is connectable with a supply of water, and a flexible conduit at an end of the body supports a brush for scrubbing articles such as dishes and the like, and enables the brush to be variously positioned to contact all surfaces of an article being cleaned, irrespective of the configuration of the article. A compartment within the body stores a supply of soap, and a valve on the body is operable by a user of the washer to control both a flow of water through the body and from the brush and introduction of soap into the water, whereby either a soapy washing solution or clear rinse water may be applied to the article being cleansed.

  • Patent number: 4085868
Abstract: A device with a coupling for attaching to a pipe conducting liquid to a shower bath, and a coupling for attaching a shower head thereto. Which device contains a reservoir for bath oil and compressed air, which compressed air forces bath oil through an inlet into the water stream, thus permitting bath oil to be completely comingled with bath water before reaching shower head. The compressed air is supplied by a hand squeezed air pump, and the above mentioned inlet is controlled by a valve.

  • Patent number: 4009831
Abstract: An apparatus is provided which is adapted to be connected in communication with a single stream of water and which is constructed and arranged to divide the single stream of water into a plurality of streams of water. The apparatus defines a fluid stream through a fluid chamber into a mixing chamber and forms the plurality of streams by directing the water through a foraminous nozzle member. The apparatus also includes an additive chamber adapted to contain an additive and includes provision for mixing some of the water with the additive in the additive chamber and supplying the mixture of additive and water to the mixing chamber for formation, along with the plain water, into a plurality of streams of water through the foraminous nozzle, each containing the same amount of additive. The apparatus includes means for selectively controlling the introduction of water mixed with additive into the mixing chamber through rotation of the foraminous nozzle between normal and additive-blocking positions.

  • Patent number: 3944140
Abstract: A shower head adapted to mix and dispense a detergent and water is disclosed. A rotational shaft with impeller blades mounted on one end and a rotary brush engaging a detergent bar on the other end is rotated in a shower head when water under pressure flowing through the shower head impinges on the blades. Means are employed to keep the rotary brush in contact with the detergent bar when the detergent bar is being consumed during use. Means for diverting water toward or away from the impeller blades are also provided so that a bather may adjust the shower head during use to provide water or a mixture of water and a detergent.
